Chapter 13: An Invitation from Sun Kingdom

Winters came and then spring,

Being around the center part of the continent, Sullegar didn't receive any snowfall and this helped the whole kingdom to rebuild itself at a very fast pace.

Also, Prince Sun Mo sent around 10 carriages fully loaded with gold coins and other jewelry for use so the work has been going on a very rapid speed as Chiyou announced that if they all finish work at a rapid speed,

Then prisoners will get their sentence cut few months and for other people, they will receive gold coins and other jewelry items for free.

And thanks to this very greed, the speed of construction put by more than 1000 people was so much fast, not even a single day did anyone take a break and even soldiers helped.

Now, it's over a few more months and summer is around the corner

But finally, the work is done.

The whole kingdom is surrounded by giant boundary walls that have around 200 soldiers literally all over the wall throughout the kingdom and not only that, the whole kingdom is rebuilt into something much better place

There is no longer any barren land in this kingdom and the moment you enter the land you will see large trees and their roots everywhere.

A hard stone path that will lead you to the inside of the kingdom where everything is arranged in a proper manner.

Being the New Kingdom, it has no noble thus lands for noble are not needed, and having a population of just over 1000 people has made the whole land abundant for farming and other activities.

Every family in the kingdom has a job and almost everyone is employed except for kids as they need to study.

There is also a large pit made for a lake but it's empty right now, but it will be filled when the rain will come and when you towards the end area, that where you will see a small palace where the king lives and behind it is a big tree

A tree that is so huge that it can be almost seen from the whole kingdom and even the from the cities of Sun Kingdom.

No doubt, its the biggest tree in the whole continent and this was the reason why Chiyou needs to remodel or shift his whole palace to a new place as the roots of such large trees is also a big tree.

Don't know how this tree grew so big, but who cares now that it has grown so much.

The tree was later given a name, "Tree of Life" and it has also become a good tourist destination, which helps the kingdom to make some revenue till they could properly stand up on their leg

It also acts as a big defense system as Chiyou can see almost all of his kingdom from the branch of such tree

Right now, Chiyou is on one of the tree branches and looking at his kingdom

'Almost a year has passed,

It truly feels like a dream' Chiyou said to himself as he looked as far as possible,

He still remembers those days when he used to wander around the forest and hunt demons and gathered food for survival but now he is a King of a kingdom.

A kingdom that was once a barren land and only had just one building which was a prison camp, but now it's flourishing with fertility, his people are all happy.

But still, there are things that he is not happy with

On the ground, a soldier came towards the tree and in a loud tone, he called his king

"What is it?!"

"There is a letter from Prince Sun Mo!"

"hmm?"

*whoosh*

"Where is it?" Chiyou asked the soldier

The soldier looked at the person standing in front of his eyes, even though he is himself a demi-human, he has seen no one like the person standing in front of him

'The seniors did say that he will look like a demon but i thought they all were joking me, but this is...'

The soldier in front of Chiyou is a new recruit and he is a young boy, whose age would be barely 18 at most and his name is Fang Huizhong (Meaning- Loyalty)

And right now he is scared

Even though he is a demi-human himself, he hasn't seen a single person with a tail and also with a horn as not many have such strong genes of some beast in them

The person in front has no knot in his hairstyle which is surprising as many nobles and royalties prefer to keep knot to look sophisticated.

Chiyou has a long black hair that he always keeps loose and rarely puts a knot on it. He is wearing a white dress and above it is a long black robe with no sleeves and above it is a cape that covers his whole right side area, both front and back.

Even though he has a royal golden dress, he dont like it as its too much uncomfortable to move.

on the other hand,

the soldier, Fang Huizhong, is shocked to his very core as he has never seen a tail and horns among his kind or listen to such things about humans. And also the red mark on the left side of Chiyou's face makes him look really evil.

Chiyou could see fear in the eyes of this young kid, he said "Give me the paper"

Fang Huizhong nodded and immediately hand out the letter (a scroll) and ran away

And this is what he is worried about, even though a year has passed, still, no one has accepted him yet.

Chiyou didn't think much and read the letter

[Friend Chiyou! It's me, Sun Mo

My birthday is coming soon so i have organized a 'test of strength' event and i have also called people from Sun Kingdoms, its best chance to finish the old battle or at least, show them who they are up against

Come fast, i will be waiting for you!]

"hmmm, so even Prince Xiong Bo is coming, guess i need to wrap things up and leave fast" Chiyou said as he folded the paper

At the Xiong Kingdom-
