A Walk in Kamakura

Kamakura is located in a city under Kanagawa Prefecture. As one of the three major metropolitan areas in Japan.

Kamakura is an important city in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This is a city near the sea. This city has a history of almost a thousand years. This Year has developed as a tourist destination since the Edo period.

Unlike other repaired Buddhas, the Great Buddha of Kamakura basically retains its original form and is extremely precious.

Immediately coming to the Jōdo-shū to look directly at this gigantic open-air Buddha, Hina opened her eyes wide and couldn't hide her astonishment. Unlike the photos on the Internet, the reality is even more shocking.

"Asahi, I want to take a photo with you!"

Happily pulling Asahi forward among the crowd, Hina suddenly thought of something, and showed a sad expression: "I forgot my camera."

Wrinkling her nose, Hina approached the Great Buddha, struck some cute poses, and took lots of photos.

There wasn't much to see in Kotoku-in, and after about an hour of shopping with an enthusiastic Hina, the two headed to their second destination – Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, where Komachi-dori Street also runs.

As one of the three main shrines of Hachimangu in Japan, it is no exaggeration to say that it is the symbol of Kamakura.

"Lots of snacks here!"

Hina and Asahi walked along the straight and elongated western side of Wakamiya-dori at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and immediately saw a north-south food street.

At a glance, they can find everything from natto, ham, and other local specialty shops to Kamakura sculptures and other works of art, from classic restaurants to western-style cafes. There are about 200 restaurants and shops lined up, attracting many people to shop.

Asahi found this to be similar to the shopping street at Sensoji Temple he visited last time with Utaha, the only difference being the local specialties.
