TKMK 1: The Beginning

YUI's POV

Hello everyone, my name is Yui Chua. I had bright brown eyes, brown hair, and rosy cheeks. I have wonderful parents that let me do whatever I want. I'm not their biological daughter, but I still love them and treat them as my biological parents. I don't know who are my biological parents. They told me that they found me near their house. They heard a loud cry from a baby, which made them curious, that's why they looked where it was coming from, then they found me and brought me home. They told me that if my biological parents will find me, the necklace might be the evidence to find their lost daughter. That's why I need to wear that all the time and keep it safe.

Today is Monday, and that means another day of school is here. I did my morning routine then went downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Good morning, mama... papa," I said, then kissed their cheeks. I sat on my chair and ate with them. Mama has a small business. She managed to build her cafe store, while papa is the manager of the restaurant near the school. I usually take part-time jobs there and thank goodness because they did not stop me from doing what I wanted to do.

"Where's big brother Gian?" I asked

"Oh! your brother went to school early this morning," mama said

"It seems like big brother Gian has a lot of tasks to do as one of the campus princes," I said. We finished eating our food, and then mama washes our dishes, then we went outside.

Papa starts the engine while mama is closing the gate. I went inside our car, and then mama enters inside the car too after closing the gate. Papa starts to drive.

*A few minutes later*

We arrived at PU or Park University.

"I'll go inside, thanks for the ride, and be careful on your way to your work," I said, then went out of the car.

As I walk, someone yells my name. I turn around, and I saw my best friends.

"Where are the others?" I ask them

"They're inside the classroom," Eunice said. I nod my head as an answer.

"Where are you going?" I ask

"To the garden," Carmela answer.

"Ok! I will go then... I'll go straight to my locker to get my books. Bye, see you later," I said while smiling and wave goodbye, then walk again to go where my locker is.

"Hi Yui, do you mind teaching me our lesson in chemistry later? I didn't get the lesson that Professor Magsala taught us," Erica asked.

"Sure, I don't mind. I'll teach you later. Meet me at the library during our first break time." I said

"Thank you! Yui," she said, then wave goodbye.

I sighed then open my locker. I opened it then saw another piece of rose. It started last semester. I don't know who's responsible for giving me flowers every day, but thanks to that person cause that person makes my day beautiful. I love flowers, and that's why it made me smile.

I take out my books for the first four subjects this morning then close my locker. I walk again to go to my respective classroom.

"Yui!" someone shouted. I look around to know who it is, and I saw big brother Gian running towards me, while the other royalties are behind him, and they're just walking. Brother Gian is almost near me and is about to hug me, but I moved to the left, so he didn't hug me. Brother Gian looked at me again and tried to hug me, but every time he's trying to do so, I keep on avoiding him.

"brother Gian, please stop being childish," I said. The other royalties are now near us, and they're just watching us.

"Not until you let me hug you," he said. I sigh and walk towards him. He hugs me tight that I can't even breathe. This is the reason why I don't want him to hug me. I'm not a teddy bear, you know.

"Brother Gian, can you let go of me now? You're treating me like a teddy bear. I'm not one of your human-size teddy bears," I said, and luckily he let go of me.

"What do you want, brother? Is there something wrong? Need my help again?" I ask him. He usually hugs me if he needed something from me.

"Hmm...." he said. It looks like he wants my help. I then remember that the other campus royalties are here. I face them and bow.

"Greetings! Royalties. Sorry if I did not greet you earlier," I said, then raise my head again, then face my brother.

"What's the matter, brother? You usually get straight to the point when you ask for my help. Why didn't you say it now?" I ask him. I'm starting to get worried right now. I don't know what's he going to say.

"I'll handle it myself, don't worry," he said, but I gave him a look that's saying 'I don't believe you' He stayed silent. I look at the royalties, but they did not answer me.

"If this is about you and ate Francheska, meet me at the school garden later, lunchtime," I said, then bow my head again to the royalties then leave.

What is his problem? I can't think of any reason for them to fight again unless brother Gian forgot something. I sigh because of his action.

I enter the room and sit down beside Ayumi.

"Problem?" she asks

"You are the only person who could tell if I have a problem or not, but don't worry, it's just about my brother," I said while fixing my things for our first subject.

"Of course I could tell if you have a problem or not because you're my best friend," she said, she shows me her brightest smile, and I show her a little smile.

"My brother usually goes straight to the point if he needs something from me and hugging me, but today, he hugs me, yet he never says something," I said.

"Maybe your brother just wants to hug you."

"No, because when I asked him a while ago if he needs something from me, he did not answer, and also said that he would handle his problem," I said

"Maybe your brother can solve it by himself, don't worry about him too much. By the way, did you finished our homework in biology?" she asked, which made me look for my math notebook. We both laughed because of me. I open my notebook and saw that I still have 1 question that doesn't have an answer.

"Haha, I thought that my homework is finish already. It's a good thing that you ask about it," I said.

"How about for the English?" she asks again.

"Of course... not yet," I said, then I laugh, and she also laughs because of that, but as I expected, she hit the back of my head a little.

"What is that for?" I ask.

"Why didn't you do your homework? You know that our first lesson will be English," she said and looking at me unbelievably. I laughed a bit and showed her my notebook in English.

"Don't worry. I'm just kidding. Of course, I'll finish the first subject's homework," I said. Ayumi raises her left eyebrow, which made me force to stop laughing.

"I'm sorry ok," I said, then calm myself to continue answering the worksheet.

"Ayumi, help me, I can't answer this last question," I said, then shows her the last question that I can't answer.

"Fine, but you're the one who'll answer it. I'll just guide you," Ayumi said, so I nod as an answer.

She begins to teach me the process until I get it done. I admit it, I'm not good in biology, but I'm thankful because she's still helping me even though she's repeating it too many times already.

Our Professor in English came in then we greet her a good morning.

*A few hours later*

It's our first break time. I stand up, then went outside to meet Erica in the library.

*At the library*

I roamed around and did not see Erica anywhere. Maybe I'll borrow some books if she's not going to show herself today. I scan the bookshelves to know what should I borrow for today.

"The Top 10 in Business World" This book, I want to borrow this, I don't know, I'm not into business things, but this book catches my attention. Every device for year is an advanced technology already. This book unites with the author, the other pages are blank, and the author is the only one who can write in this book.

I sat in the chair near the entrance of the library. While I'm waiting, I'll read this book for now. But first, I'll register the book in my name to make sure that I already borrowed it.

After I registered the book in my name, I sat on the chair I'm sitting on awhile ago. Then read the book.
