Ed is really annoying. He forgot to appraise their equipment, and now I have to pacify their curiosity about my equipment!
At least I didn't show my Mithril Longsword.
"Who are you?" (Arkan)
"Like I said, I'm Daniel." (Daniel)
"I didn't mean your name, I meant your status! No ordinary person could get an orichalcum dagger." (Arkan)
"Well the thing is, I lost all of my memories. The first thing I can remember is waking up in this forsaken desert." (Daniel)
"R-Really? Then how do you know the dagger was forged badly?" (Arin)
"I have no idea. It just popped up in my head!" (Daniel)
Hehe, marvel at my acting skill! I'd already made up a lie with Ed on my backstory. It sure is coming in handy right now.
I can show I'm talented, while also not arousing suspicion if I ask around on some common knowledge.
Now all I need to do is guide them into the direction of taking me along when they leave the desert
Thankfully, they've already completely forgotten about the corpse of the scorpion. I guess orichalcum has that effect.
"Why are you guys here anyway?" (Daniel)
"Hm? We're on a quest from the adventurer's guild." (Bork)
Adventurer's guild? I don't have any good memories about them. Despite having the word 'adventure' in their name, all they do is laze around! Barely any of them can actually subjugate beasts, and when a strong one comes along, they flee the town!
Therefore, I ended up kicking out the entire guild from my kingdom in my first life. Training my own beast subjugation Corp was much more efficient. As proof, my kingdom never once faced a beast wave after the guild left!
Alas, we are in different worlds. While I try not to be prejudiced, some things are just ingrained into me.
"Hoh, then what's the quest?" (Daniel)
"Ah, we're supposed to unload these things here and start building a base. The local lord wants to pioneer this desert." (Arin)
Huh. So they actually do some adventuring! Still doesn't change my view of them though.
"Want some help?" (Daniel)
"Really? We'd love some!" (Arin)
Ah, it really makes the difference when a beautiful girl is the one who says it. Not that I've seen her face yet.
"Alright, but I want to leave with you guys. I have no idea how to leave this desert." (Daniel)
"That's fine! Actually, we were going to ask you to come with us anyway!" (Arin)
What's wrong with this woman? I thought Arkan was the leader of the party.
"Is that alright, Arkan?" (Daniel)
"Y-Yeah, whatever she says." (Arkan)
Hoh... I see what's going on here. But now I feel a bit bad...
Whatever. I start helping the trio with their work. It seems like most of the things they brought are to build houses or storage areas. I doubt they are here to harvest the Holy Spring Water.
In that case, they might actually not have a sinister goal in mind. If that really is the case, them I don't mind helping them. After all, I am a good person. Yes, a good person.
As I was helping, I decided to check my status.

I've gotten a lot stronger thanks to the hidden quests I completed. I should probably change my class soon.
The swordsman and mage classes are common because they are easy to get. Magic Swordsman is rare because it requires Swordsmanship LVMAX and Mana Regeneration LV8. Thief requires Dagger Arts.
Ed told me that the classes will give extra attribute points according to their specialties and rarity. For now, I think I'll set my two classes to be Magic Swordsman and Thief. I can always change them later anyway.

Finally! I actually have some proper magic!
Bless my RNG! But... I probably shouldn't use Necromancy until I figure out the stance of the Church in this world.
Half written on my phone.
For some reason I just can't get any good ideas when I'm away from my laptop.
