Place Your Trust In Me

Sierra looked down at her own hands. She didn't want to leave her fate up to someone else to decide. It was time for her to take charge of her own future. If the truth was to be revealed, she wanted to play by her rules. 

The trial had not gone the way she wanted, and yet she made it through. In the face of that, this was nothing. Whatever the outcome was, she would face it head-on. She had faith in herself. 

Sierra curled her hand into a fist and brought it close to her heart. Fully aware of the potential consequences of her actions, she raised her free hand to get everyone's attention. 

"Your Majesty, my sincerest apologies but there's something I would like to confess," Sierra said with confidence. 

Her voice was no longer shaking. 

It was firm and full of confidence.
