I couldn't hold it anymore. Without even thinking about it, I lowered my head and pressed my lips on hers. Emma's lips were so warm and soft, and I couldn't get enough of it.

Immediately, my body started to heat up. However, when I tasted a salty and iron-like taste on her mouth, I immediately pulled away and looked at her with concern.

It was only then that I noticed that Emma's face looked so pale and blood was in her mouth. My eyes widened and I was about to ask if she was alright when she immediately fainted in my arms.

/"I'm very sorry to say this to you, my lord,/" the head healer stated after she was done treating Emma.

My brows immediately furrowed upon her statement. 'What does she mean? Is something wrong with Emma?' I thought to myself before hurriedly telling her, /"What is it. Tell me everything without holding back,/" I instructed her.
