#Chapter6

SILVAN'S POV

The green lush of forest surrounded my sight as the cool wind blew on my face. I blinked once and I immediately knew where I was.

It was the place that I have always seen. The place where my wolf would bring my consciousness whenever I sleep.

'So, once again you brought me here,' I thought to myself before I started to walk and took the clear path in the middle of the forest.

/"This time, I wonder how long until I reach the end again,/" my brows knitted. In my face, a small frown started to form.

My wolf was a very special existence. Every time I fell asleep, he would transport my soul transported in this forest. And in all of those times, in order for me to wake up and return to the lower realm, I had to take the path in the middle of the forest.

Most of the time, the path would be covered with obstacles, making my journey difficult. Like when the forest would be covered by the harsh winter, leaving my body exposed to the fatal coldness. Or when the forest would be ravaged by a fire, and I had to walk through the path as my body burned. There were also times when the path would be filled with blades and thorns, making my body bleed with every move. It was very rare when my journey would be easy.

/"I never saw this forest to be this peaceful,/" I softly muttered. /"I wonder what happens?/" My brows knitted as I took steady steps towards the path.

However, after a long while of walking, the forest had started to shift. The lush greeneries started to dry out until the leaves fell on the ground. The healthy looking barks of the tree started to lose their vitality until they turned dark brown, and there after black. The clear path that I was walking with started to shake and small cracks started to appear on the ground.

/"Heh,/" I sniggered as I calmly watched the changes. /"I knew that the peace would not last long./"

Suddenly, I felt a burning sensation in my chest and a struggling, yet majestic voice resounded inside the forest.

/"The power... of destruction.../" I heard and my brows immediately furrowed.

/"Grab... it.../"

/"Destroy... them all.../" The voice stated. My body started to tremble upon hearing the voice.

/"You are... the chosen one. Take... it.../"

/"Use... it.../"

After the statement, the forest turned into chaos. The previously calm trees were suddenly ignited and the big cracks started to appear on the ground. I looked at the bottom of one of the cracks and saw deep pits that could suck my soul.

/"It seems like this time... you are seriously trying to kill me,/" I softly muttered before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath.

/"This would be... a long and difficult journey,/" I sighed before taking another step.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a soft sound rang on my ears.

/"Sil...van,/" A soft and charming voice stated. The tone of her voice was filled with different emotions. They contained a bit of apprehension but also curiosity and amazement.

/"Who?/" I once again stopped my track and looked around to find the unfamiliar, yet familiar voice.

/"Silvan,/" after a few while, I once again heard. This time, however, the woman's voice sounded so sure as if she was entrusting her entire being in my hands. Moreover, they were also filled with patent desire that deep a great number in my usually unfeeling heart.

I repeatedly blinked as my body stopped moving. Then, a small smile appeared on my face before I softly uttered, /"Aren't you Emma? That beautiful woman who completely charmed me?/"

Without any warning, the chaos that was ravaging the forest had stilled and the tumultuous feeling that the forest was giving started to calm down. I slowly blinked before I softly said, /"Why can I hear Emma here? Is it because she is looking for me?/"

Surprisingly, after my statement, the vision of the forest started to slowly crack until it fully shattered. Sharp darkness immediately followed, making me close my eyes. And when I opened them again, I saw a familiar place.

I was quiet for a few seconds as I let my emotions settle. Then, I lifted my hand and slowly formed it into a grip.

/"It seems like... I'm really back to the lower realm,/" I softly muttered.

/"Laksom!/" I called my trusted aide. Almost instantaneously, his figure appeared inside the room.

/"Welcome back, my lord,/" he stated before slowly bowing.

/"How long was I out?/" I asked before sitting up and looking at the sun outside the window.

/"It's only been two weeks, my lord,/" Laksom replied.

'Hmm. I wasn't out for long,' I thought to myself, feeling satisfied.

/"How is she?/" I asked Laksom. My voice sounded more hurried than it usually was.

For a split second, Laksom seemed startled to my question. However, he was fast to compose himself before promptly replying, /"The miss has returned to her normal life. She's safely inside her university./"

The room turned quiet after Laksom's answer. At that time, I was quietly thinking, comprehending my next move.

/"My lord, would you like me to call the head healer?/" Laksom asked when I stayed quiet for a long while.

I did not, however, answer him. Instead, I got off my bed and walked towards the big window and looked through the direction of her aura.

Emma was far away from me. Although I could still feel her, the distance between us irritated me. Suddenly, I felt an equally anxious feeling that wasn't mine inside my heart.

'I know,' I internally muttered to my wolf. 'I want to see her, too.'

Thus, without further adieu, I gave an order that I haven't given in a... long, long while, /"There is no need to call the head healer. Prepare everything. I will be leaving the castle grounds./"
