Chapter 37- Forced into Friendship

Kazuki original plan was to make a fight and have Azazel and Azrael team up because they don't get along which would be an advantage for Yozuko. The explosion spell activated and the matched started. Azazel was still was still arguing with Azrael about their strategy. Azazel wanted to attack together from both sides while Azrael wants to tire Yozuko and finish him. Actually, both of their plans are brilliant. It's just that, their teamwork is really low that Kazuki always thinks about small children when he sees them fighting.

Yozuko used [shadow merge] and disappeared into the tree's shadows. An hour passed when both of them finally agreed that they should just go with their own plans but Yozuko was nowhere to be found. They searched separately and took their own paths to find him. Azazel was looking inside the forest when he heard Azrael's scream back at the altar. He ran toward the altar but only found his unconscious teammate lying there while holding his broken sword.

As he was about to come closer, he felt chills behind him and quickly turned around but, there was no one there. He checked Azrael's unconscious body and a low voice whispered to his ear saying, "I win" and his vision blacked out.

Azazel and Azrael woke up from his unconscious state and saw Kazuki standing in front in them. They gazed their surroundings and found out that they were inside Order's medical facility and they were it's first patients.

"Where's Yozuko?" Azazel asked in a weak voice. Yozuko crushed both Azazel and Azrael's pride in the match.

"He's here" Kazuki said as he pointed his shadow then Yozuki rose from his shadow and bowed.

"I'm sorry for going hard on both of you" he said.

Azrael nodded and Azazel forgave him. Though both their prides were crushed, they have good sportsmanship. The moment they both accepted defeat, the contract spell activated and immediately broke as if nothing happened. Kazuki doubted the spell so he tried to test it. He went to Azrael and whispered, "Azazel said you're the main reason both of you lost" in his ear. His fists clenched but when he tried to punch Azazel but he hugged him instead. Azazel almost barfed and Kazuki jaw almost dropped due to too much shock. He was expecting Azrael to slash him but the spell forbid it from happening.

The next day, Kazuki had lunch and was about to settle matters regarding national defense because the high paladins were arguing about their national defense after witnessing the fight of Yozuko against Azazel and Azrael. They probably think they are just insects compared to them so Kazuki decided to boost their morale.

(Note: Paladins are ranked into 3 groups. The regular paladins, Crossbow paladins and the High paladins. There is one paladin in every 1000 that becomes a high paladin. They are the highest ranking paladins and have thrice the strength of a normal one. You can tell them apart by their red cape and gold armor.)

He was walking towards the meeting hall with Azazel and Azrael following him from behind and Yozuko hiding in his shadow. He didn't hear a single argument from Azazel or Azreal since morning. "Finally! Peace!" he thought.
