Nature Transformation and Meeting Naruto

The following day Shiki discreetly sent out of a number of shadow clones to train in the basics before going to talk to Tsunade.

'I really want to start practising the legacy jutsu but I should refine my chakra control some more, since they are not the kind of jutsu I want to screw up as they can have serious consequences. Well, I know what to do for now though.'

"Tsuna-nee? Can I test my chakra nature?" Shiki requested.

'Chakra nature huh? Well be it his skill or chakra reserves he's ready.' Tsunade thought.

"Sure Shiki, I don't see why not. Go and ask Shizune for some chakra paper."

"Great! I'll be going then!" Shiki replied.

"Wait a moment!" Tsunade stopped him.

"Before you do that, go take a walk around the village okay?"

"I'll do that later." The boy said while preparing to bolt away.

"No! You'll do it now, you're only four, there's more to life than just training!" Tsunade reprimanded.

'Well she has a point I was so excited about learning new and cool jutsu but stopping for a day and just relaxing might not be a bad idea . . .' Thought Shiki

"Okay Tsuna-nee, for today I'll just explore the village and rest but tomorrow it's back into training with full force!"

Tsunade finally smiled and relented.

"That's fine, you can go now."

"Later Tsuna-nee"

And so Shiki ran out the door ready to do some reconnaissance.

A few minutes later the boy quickly realised that knowing it from the series and knowing it in real life were two very different things but, by a stroke of luck, he walked by a children's playground and spotted a certain lone blond haired kid.

'This is actually a nice opportunity!'

"Hey there!" Shiki called out but the boy didn't respond.

'He's probably not expecting for someone to call out to him

Shiki called again after getting closer and this time the kid turned around with a confused expression while pointing to himself.

"Huh? Me?" The blond asked, confused why a child his age was calling out to him considering all that happened in the past.

"Yeah you! Do you see anyone else around?" The redhead quipped.

The boy looked around and seeing there was really nobody else near them he though this was his chance of finally making a friend.

"So what is it?" He asked Shiki.

"Well, I'm kinda new in the village so I thought you could show me around, tell me about some of the more interesting places and all that!" Shiki answered.

"Really? I'm mean yeah I'll totally show around tebayo!" The boy said with visible excitement.

"Great! I'm Shiki by the way." Shiki introduced himself.

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto! Nice to meet you tebayo!" Naruto also introduced himself.

"Really?" Inquired Shiki as if he was surprised.

"Why?" Naruto asked seeing the redhead's surprise and thinking he might go away like the other kids before.

"It's just that my family name is also Uzumaki, my full name is actually Uzumaki Shiki!" Shiki said faking wonder then he continued.

"We might even be distant relatives! Imagine that, I just took my first walk around the village and met a someone from the same family."

"Really!? That'd be super awesome dattebayo!" Said with a bright smile, greatly excited about the prospects of having an actual family.

"Do you have other family members?" Asked Shiki feigning curiosity.

Naruto became visibly downcast.

"No, not really . . ."

Shiki then continued.

"Yeah me neither . . . But there are two neechans that picked me up and brought me to konoha though! How about you come to our house to have lunch after showing me around the village, I'm sure they wouldn't mind."

"You sure?" Asked Naruto trying to contain his excitement.

"Yeah, pretty sure. Now, let's get to exploring!" Shiki declared.

And so, Naruto took Shiki to visit the various important places around the village, like the Hokage monument and office but also showing him where to find all kinds of shops and such. A couple of hours later they both went to the Senju compound to have lunch.

Naruto expressed amazement at the place.

"Wow! You live in a pretty big place!"

"Yeah it's cool." Shiki answered affirmatively.

As the two boys entered the main building they spotted Shizune and Tsunade in the living room.

"Tsuna-nee, Shizu-nee I brought a friend for dinner! Hope you don't mind."

Shizune quickly answered.

"Second day on the village and you already made a friend! That's great, of course he can eat with us."

Naruto then introduced himself.

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, Shiki's neechans it's nice to meet you tebayo!"

Shiki then added.

"He's an Uzumaki like me! Quite the coincidence don't you think?"

Tsunade and Shizune quickly realised who the blond haired boy was but pretended not to.

"I'm Tsunade this is Shizune, it's nice to meet you too Naruto!"

"Nice to meet you, Naruto-kun!"

Both kunoichi returned the greeting.

'So, both are pretending not to know Naruto huh? Well, it doesn't really matter I guess.'

Shiki thought.

After that, they all had lunch normally and Shiki also spent the afternoon with Naruto.

'I thought messing about with a kid would be boring but it was kinda fun reliving my childhood not worry about anything as I play about. But it's still back to work tomorrow though.'

As they were about to part ways, Naruto asked Shiki a question with a hopeful tone.

"Can we play together tomorrow to?"

"I've got training tomorrow . . ." Shiki started making Naruto's face fall.

". . . but I can get around it no problem!" He continued.

"Huh!? How tebayo?" Naruto asked.

"By doing this!" Shiki replied.

"Shadow Clone jutsu!"

Naruto just looked in wonder at the two Shikis.

"That's so cool tebayo! Hey if I train together with you can I learn that too?"

"I mean, sure! Not Right away but as long as you work hard I don't see why not!" 'Since it actually was your signature jutsu in the series after all.'

"Just show up at my place tomorrow and I'm sure we can find a nice training regimen for you." Shiki suggested.

"Cool, see you tomorrow!" Naruto answered as the went their own separate ways.

The next morning, Naruto didn't seem to be as much of an early riser as Shiki, so he went ahead and got started without him. Shiki already informed Tsunade about Naruto coming over and she acquiesced to the request.

Now, Tsunade and Shiki stood face to face while the boy held a piece of chakra paper. As the redhead channeled his chakra into it, the paper split down the middle.

"Wind huh?"

"That's right! Now that we know your chakra nature let's start training by splitting this leaf in two meanwhile, I'll see what wind jutsu I can find within the Senju and Konoha jutsu repositories.

After Tsunade left Shiki Immediately used the Multi Shadow Clone jutsu and got on to training.

Tsunade came back an hour or two later and was surprised to see Shiki's method of training but didn't comment. Shiki kept two shadow clones aside to study the jutsu Tsunade brought. He couldn't do as many clones as Naruto did in the series since he didn't have as much chakra but this training would help expand his reserves for sure.

Naruto showed up later and Tsunade had him train in the general shinobi skill as well as the basic exercises. Naruto was skeptical at first and wanted to learn cooler jutsu but after learning Shiki also practiced like that before, he was much more enthusiastic.

And with that sort of routine, a year passed Shiki and Naruto met and started hanging out with Shikamaru and Choji, more importantly they both made great progress in their abilities especially Shiki.

The redhead's chakra reserves were already at the level of a low jounin courtesy of an exhaustive training regimen and Uzumaki heritage, his chakra control had reached a similar level and his ninjutsu and taijutsu skill were at high chunin and peak chunin respectively. He also managed to learn all of the wind nature jutsu Tsunade gave him including: Wind Release: Breakthrough and its stronger version Wind Style: Great Breakthrough, Wind Style: Vacuum Blade, Wind Style: Vacuum Wave, Wind Style: Vacuum Serial Waves, Wind Style: Vacuum Bullets and Wind Style: Vacuum Bomb.

All of this left Tsunade and Shizune utterly dumbfounded, making them think the world had gone crazy and earned Shiki no small amount of praise, that is if multiple callings of monster and freak count as praise.

Naruto had also surprisingly grasped all the general shinobi skills taught at the academy, causing no small amount of surprise to Shiki but he surmised it had to do with him and Tsunade forcing him to steadily practice the basics. He also managed to master both the tree climbing exercise and water walking exercise. He couldn't be said to be that good on any of those things but he could at the very least consistently do them.

This helped both kunoichi relax as they realised the world had indeed not gone crazy but instead, it was Shiki that was crazy.

But unbeknownst to all but Shiki grander accomplishments were afoot.
