The Beginning of the End

[Earth, year 2223]

-Introduction-

Earth was no more, a shadow of its former self, a disaster nobody was prepared for was on the horizon . The year was 2020, a disease broke out, at first it was a like a curse but soon infected people started gaining inhuman powers.

These powers let to rapid human improvement and the establishment of many strong organisations. However, it was not all sunshine and rainbows, these powerful organisations were greedy and started wars to gain power until the world was in chaos. Then it got even worse, the animals started to mutate and change in to monstrous creatures, they attacked at the time the earth was most vulnerable. Many died, governments fell, contries were destroyed, it was the end for most, yet, some managed to hold on. Humans started to rebuild, it was a new beginning. However, instead of trying to reform, humans became ruthless, those without strength were considered useless and were outcasts. The only thing that mattered was strength, whether you were born in a rich or poor family, without power you would be treated as trash. In the following year humanity started to develop once more, although most modern knowledge was lost many things weren't, humans rebuilt cities and schools, they made hospitals, but most importantly, they formed factions.

-Primary Powers-

Everyone has a different primary power, these powers can bo boosted by killing monsters and training. Primary powers always fall within six major categories:

Enhancement- power to enhance something or someone in a physical aspect, considered the weakest class because the others can easily outclass its power.

Elemental- power to use elements such as earth, water, fire, electricity, air and more.

Transformation- power to transform something or someone into something else.

Mental- power to influence something about a person/animals mental state.

Summon- power to summon something to fight or do work for you.

Unique- a unique strong power specific to a person, the strongest and rarest power, those with a unique class will be treated like royalty.

-Other powers-

Aside from primary powers, you could also gain other powers, these powers are gained once you primary power has been boosted to a certain point. These powers don't have restrictions like primary powers, they can be anything, however they are generally weaker compared to a primary power.

-Factions-

5 different factions formed in the world, these factions fought monsters to control territory, they gathered groups of powerful hunters together and they taught new hunters.

Mercenary faction- a faction of ruthless mercenaries, the faction brings together mercenaries to fight, they are always neutral and do work for whoever pays the most, they do not teach new hunters.

The faction of heroes- a faction comprised of the best heroes, this faction focuses on training hunters, however this faction discriminates heavily towards the weak.

The "holy" faction- a faction in which members worship the monsters and the gods, the faction believes that monsters were made by god and should be treated as such.

The Alliance- the alliance is many different small factions that got together and formed a giant faction, the alliance is full of people of different backgrounds and strengths.

The lost faction- this faction is the end for all the weak, unless you are a part of the alliance. This faction was made by weak hunters that were kicked out of their previous faction. It is simply a place for the weak to die, even when a prodigy is born here they will never be able to get the resources to gain power.
