25 Ice panther dungeon break (2)

The knight captain is giving commands to the army to get ready to face the break. The Ice panthers have the ability to blast Ice beams and create duplicates. It is not easy to find which one is the real one.

That is one of the reasons why Ash decided to dig a big trench and fill with wooden spikes. The first pack of panthers came running and fell on the wooden spikes and were killed. The panthers kept on pouring out of the dungeon which caused the back panthers to push the panthers near the trench to fall.

Nearly after 5 minutes a big panther came out and roared. It is double the size of panthers and as soon as other panthers heard the roar, they stopped running and just stood there bowing heads to the big panther.

Nearly 20 panthers were killed by the spikes in the trench. The big panther went near the trench and looked at it.

Ash looked at it and said "Ice Panther king". The words were enough to terrify the adventurers along with soldiers.

The ice panther king is a mutated version of Ice panthers that excels in raw strength and has complete magical immunity. It has some intelligence and can strategize up to some extent.

The magic is completely useless against such enemy, so usually such monsters are dealt by the army rather than those with magical powers.

"Here I thought magicians are supreme in this world. In front of us lies the biggest threat to them." said Ash with sarcasm.

The knights are not bothered by his words but the mages over there are very angry. Even the magicians among the adventurers also were angry but did not show it.

The Ice panther king observed the spikes and just gave signals to its underlings. The panthers organized themselves in 7 rows and slowly walked towards the trench and avoided the spikes.

Slowly every panther started doing the same thing and no panther is dying due to those spikes. They started jumping to other side of the trench and started running towards the soldiers and Ash's group.

Ash took out his bow and launched an arrow at the first panther which appeared from the trench. It got hit in forehead and died in an instant.

[Ding! Congratulations host for killing an Ice panther. You have been awarded 5000 Experience points]

Ash smiled on hearing those words. For the past week and half he has been stuck and no experience points were given to him.

The soldiers and adventurers followed suit and started raining arrows into the trench. The Ice panthers started dying like crazy.

Ash kept on launching arrows and killed 31 panthers which gave him 150000 experience points.

He just needed another 50000 to level up. But he was empty of arrows.

The others also faced same situation. The Ice panthers started pouring out much more from the dungeon.

"Now let them come. Let's see how they survive this." said Ash and smiled with confidence.

Nearly 100 panthers came in an instant climbing the trench.

As soon as the panthers were 200 meters away. Ash pushed the trigger button and a huge explosion took place killing the panthers.

"Fair enough. The money can be used for different purposes" said Ash.

The knights were shocked to see how panthers died by an explosion caused by Ash.

Before Panthers he attacked he aimed some arrows at the bombs which activated the bombs but they did not explode because trigger was in Ash's hands.

The panthers kept pouring even more in 100's and nearly 10 mana bombs were used to kill 800 Ice panthers.

The experience points kept pouring on for Ash and he levelled to Level 17. His stats have stopped increasing at a heavy pace.

"Might be due to saturation?" thought Ash.

"Yes, host's stats are not compatible with the level they are now so there is saturation in stats increase" replied the system.

"Then when will it start increasing at higher pace system?" asked Ash.

"When you unlock the first subclass host." the system said.

Ash decided to conserve the remaining two mana bombs since they can be used to kill Ice panther king. The materials used in mana bomb are chemicals like TNT. It will only activate with mana, so it is called a mana bomb.

The Ice panther king got enraged due to loss of its brethren and started coming towards them.

"Now, let us get to our melee combat" said Ash. Quinn, Rose and Raven took out their weapons.

Raven held a long sword and a shot sword in her hands.

The adventurers and soldiers stormed at the panther king, but the Ice blast it released froze them completely. It ran and jumped on the Ice and the their bodies were shattered to pieces.

Seeing this soldiers and adventurers started running away. "They call themselves soldier, what kind of crap is this?" said Ash with anger.

Raven bowed her head in shame due to the way county's soldiers behaved.

Ash readied his spear and ran along with other three towards the Ice panther king while other Ice panthers surrounded it.

"Eat shit you puny creature" said Ash and immediately disappeared. The others could not understand what happened, but they still kept running towards the panther king.

In the next second, they saw something which brought shiver down their spines. All the Ice panthers surrounding the king have died and their necks were pierced.

It took some time and they saw Ice panther king roaring in pain with "X" slashes on its left and right hips.

They saw Ash holding a bloodied spear few meters away. "He used the dimensional travel to inflict damage without being seen.

The Ice panther lost its reason and entered berserk state.

The other three did not waste anytime and used their weapons to cut off. The Ice panther king launched a Ice beam at the three of them but Ash blocked it using energy barrier.

"I will defend you guys and you guys will have to defeat it." said Ash.

The Ice panther started ravaging and the other three had to escape.

Raven and Rose jumped on the Ice panther king and pierced their swords. The Ice panther king started shaking violently and threw both of them onto walls.

Quinn ran towards the Ice panther king and slid and used his weapon to slash its stomach.

The Ice panther hit him with his front leg and he fell down vomiting blood.

Seeing this Raven and Rose decided to pierce it but they got hit by Ice beam on lower portion of the body.

Ash took out the trigger and pressed and two explosions took place in an instant. The Ice panther king's body became completely filled with wounds.

"Now die" said Ash and launched the spear onto its mouth killing it.

He got 50000 points for killing it.

"Now, let us go" said Ash. He used magic to break the ice and gave a health potion to Quinn.

They made their way back to the County as Ash wanted to get a reward and rest.
