The carpenter was cutting small sticks with a sharp machete when the sound of a strong wind blew behind him very quickly. He looked back but the strong wind was gone only the grass swayed gently left and right slapped by the gentle wind. .The carpenter resumed his work when he was suddenly startled by a very loud sound like something large falling from above crashing to the ground.

"Thum .."

The carpenter looked back again with a frown. But nothing fell.

'Maybe it's the sound of tall trees colliding with each other by strong winds or old trees falling.' He persuaded himself in his heart. He ignored the loud noise and resumed his delayed work.

"There's a lot of wood. I think that's enough." Said the carpenter while tying the twigs with the bark he peeled from the tree trunk. As he began to lift his pile of wood that was ready to be tied, a sound like something heavy falling was heard again but a bit louder and closer than before. The carpenter ignored the sound and started walking home through the path he had passed before with his pile of wood on his right shoulder. and his machete strapped to his waist. About three or four minutes he walked, the sound was heard again and this time it was getting closer and louder. The carpenter continued walking a bit faster. But this time the sound was heard getting more closer and like a big man walking as big as a rock. The carpenter's forehead it's wrinkled.

'Eh, is there a human as big as a big rock in this world?' He asked in his heart. He stopped walking when a sound like the voice of a very violent and big beast was heard.

"ROAR !!!"

The carpenter swallowed and his forehead began to sweat with fear. The carpenter braced himself and walked a few steps and stopped when he heard another creepy voice.

"Errrkkkkk !!!!! Hhihihi !!!!!"

The hair of his hands stood up, cold sweat wet his back and forehead. He swallowed again.

"What's that sound. I've never heard it before?" He asked himself. He shook his head to get rid of the feared in his heart. He wanted to continue his steps but suddenly

"Roar !!!"

"Thum !!"

" Hhihihi !!! "

The carpenter dropped the wood automatically.And that's when the voices turned from once into the sound of a large, heavy rock rolling towards him. The carpenter began to tremble with fear and turned left and right looking for a safe hiding place. He saw a large hollow tree that could hide an adult man sitting, he quickly ran towards the tree to hide and left his wood on the ground. He curled up in the hole of the big tree with a trembling body of fear. the sound got closer and closer and stopped. The carpenter waited for the sound if it was heard again but there was no sound whatever sounded.The hair on the nape of his neck stood up and a cold wind blew in front of him.The carpenter swallowed and slowly lifted his head up and his heartbeat stopped for a moment when four horrible creatures stood and floated in front of him grinning.The carpenter almost pissed at seeing the horrible creature again big in front of him.

'Wh....what is this?"

'What ..... what should I do ???' he asked in his heart with his eyes still looking at the creatures with very pale faces. The carpenter blushed when one of the horrible creatures spoke.

"Hihihhihi !!! A very delicious human being .." The voice of a girl dressed in red and black about 10 or 9 years old was heard and sat on the left shoulder of the very large creature. The carpenter glanced at the shoulder of the huge giant 30 feet tall. The horrible creatures grinned towards him, the carpenter soul seemed to be almost torn from his body. As if he had gained strength from somewhere, the carpenter came out of the hole in the tree and fled as fast as lightning.

"Hahahahah ... ROAR !!!"

The horrible voice made his bones weaken but he kept running aimlessly. The carpenter ran and kept running for some time and when he turned around the voice and the horrible creature were invisible and sounded.The carpenter stopped and supported his body from falling by holding his trembling knees either out of fear or because of running relentlessly.

The carpenter was breathing heavily as his eyes widened. He supported himself by placing his hands on his waist as he walked slowly.

"Hopefully that horrible monster is gone. It's scary." The carpenter said to himself as his eyes widened left and right. He looked up and just realized that the day was getting dark, he became more restless remembering the horrible monster. Don't know where he is now because while he was running to save himself he just ran aimlessly. The carpenter walked and kept walking when suddenly he bumped into something and sat on the ground. He looked up and his eyes widened when he saw the figure of the horrible monster that chasing him was right in front of him while staring at him while grinning in horror.Because of the intense fear and fatigue the carpenter fainted unconscious.The monsters laughed in horror seeing the carpenter who was already unconscious.One of the monsters pulled the side of the carpenter's leg and dragged him then thrown in the bushes then they left.

"Why did you put the man in the bush?" Asked one of the monsters who had sharp claws like the claws of a wild animal with a sturdy and large body even though it was only about 2 meters in size. The monster that pulled the carpenter just said in a lazy tone

"He's just blocking the way." The other monster laughed as they disappeared from view leaving the unconscious carpenter.

"After that I didn't know what happened and was shocked when I realized I was already at home." Said the carpenter to the rich man.The rich man nodded slightly after hearing the carpenter's story.The villagers who heard the carpenter's story were scared and they did not dare to go into the forest to look for forest fruit or firewood.

Day after day and their fear began to fade. The villagers start to enter the forest again but in large numbers and only men who were allowed to enter the forest. A month or two from the incident that happened to the carpenter, the villagers returned to their daily routine. Some village men began to disbelieve the carpenter's story but most of the villagers still believed it. One day, a middle -aged man is determined to go into the forest alone to prove to the villagers that the carpenter is just lying.

"Tsk, I will prove to everyone thats the carpenter is just a liar by telling empty stories about the monster." Said the middle-aged man. His other friends forbade him to the forest alone but he was determined and proudly wanted to go to the forest alone.His friends just shook his head.The next day he went to the forest as planned and returned home after sunset.the villagers who heard his plan waited outside the forest and they were surprised to see the middle-aged man return safely without any injuries on his body.See the villagers crowded, he grinned and said in an arrogant tone,

"I went alone to the forest and returned safely without any injuries to my body. I did not meet the horrible creatures or monsters as the carpenter said. He just made up stories about monsters so we don't go into the forest so he would get a lot of income from selling the wood. "The villagers who heard began to whisper to each other. The man smiled contentedly at their reaction.

"All of you, DO NOT believe the lies from the carpenter. NEVER." He said loudly. The villagers agreed with the man's words. The carpenter's wife who happened to hear about the man entering the woods from some gossiping women also went to the crowd and listened to the man's words, angrily and embarrassed returned to their house and said aloud to her husband,

"You said you were being chased by monsters, but it turned out you were just making up an empty story." The carpenter who was sitting in a wooden chair while wiping his machete was shocked to see his wife.

"I'm not lying. I'm really being chased by monsters." The carpenter sheathed his machete into a sheath made of wood and placed it on the table.

"Yes! I am very ashamed of the villagers with your stupid story especially to the rich man's family." Said the carpenter's wife angrily. The carpenter lost his words listening to his wife's words.The Carpenter sighted heavily.

Months passed and the villagers started to forget the carpenter's story. They thought that the carpenter's story was just a lie. But without them realizing it, one by one the village men disappeared without a trace. But one day, a man who entered the forest alone came home with a face terrified and his body shivered. The villagers who were seen immediately supported him by holding both his armpits and taken him to the rich man's mansion. "Monsters ... monsters are in the forest ... I am being chased by monsters ..." he said in a trembling voice. The villagers who heard did not believe his words. "I'm not lying. I'm SWEAR !! What the carpenter told us is the same as what I saw!" The man continued. The villagers whispered to each other. The rich's family just nodded while staring at the man to continue his words.

"I ... I also stepped on ... stepped on some bones of some kind but like human bones when I ran to save myself." He continued. The villagers were silent for a while.

"I don't know what the monster wants from me. Their faces are so horrible that someone can die just standing up." The man said again in a calm tone. But the villagers just thought of the man's story like a passing wind (Enter the right ear out left ear). However, after the incident, they began to realize that one by one the men in their village disappeared after entering the forest. They did various ways to kill the monsters but failed and they could only leave the village and move to another place.
