Sneak attack in a shop

A little more than a week later, during which Mew was bored out of his mind, Mew finally met up again with Ains. Mew had done quests in the time in between, but none of them had been entertaining at ALL.

They were subjugations of monsters/bandits, escort quests and gathering quests. Not that fun.

So when he met up again with Ains, Mew immediately began to vent out his frustration, taking a spot on the black shoulder guards of Ains's armor. The pretty lady besides Ains, Narberal Gamma, Nabe for now, was looking at Mew in dislike. Her hands rested on her weapon, ready to attack if Mew did only one suspicious thing.

Behind Ains was a big furry creature, but Mew didn't really paid it any attention, as it was rather weak compared to the monsters he had come across before.

Back on track, the girl Nabe was getting tenser and was about to pull out her weapon.

'Wow, what a scaaarryyy lady~'

Mew thought, staring at Nabe and waiting for her to move.

"Calm down, Nabe. It is a friend."

Ains said, motioning with his hands for her to stand down.

"Yes, Momon-sama."

Nabe immediately released the grip on her weapon, but continued to observe Mew out of the corner of her eye.

[Soooo, what have you been doing~? Anything fun?]

Mew asked, as he wiggled his little feet back and forth.

"Nothing worth mentioning. I have tamed a beast I named Hamusuke. It honestly looks like a hamster."

[Is it cute? Is it edible?]

"I wouldn't know. He is behind me, so judge for yourself."

Ains responded, not even opting to respond to the later question.

Mew glanced once more at the big furry hamster behind Ains, who proudly introduced itself as Hamusuke. It wasn't cute at all. It didn't look edible either.

[So what are your plans now?]

Taking his attention away from the big fur ball, Mew continued to question Ains.

"We are on our way back to collect our rewards for a quest."

Ains replied, making his way to Hamusuke, as the crowd around them were in awe at the sight of it.

From what Mew could infer from Ains, he seemed very embarrassed.

[I'll head to the destination first, you enjoy your parade.]

Having already gotten a incling about where to go, Mew left Ains behind and teleported with Aldos in the shop.

Arriving just in time to almost get hit by a dagger at that.

[Who did that! I dare you to try again!]

Mew huffed angrily, as he deflected another dagger coming his way.

"Aww, this is not fun at aaaallll~!"

A woman's voice sounded.

Looking around, Mew spotted a lot of injured people, luckily none of them dead.

"It seems we have landed ourselves into a unpleasant situation."

Aldos sighed, lammenting at the fact this wasn't a first and surely wouldn't be the last.

[Let's get this over with and ask what happened.]

Mew said, glancing at the woman that had spoken. She was cloaked, hiding her body completely. Only her head was visible, a deranged look in her eyes as she seemed to enjoy this situation.

[Want me to do it, or do you want to do it?]

Mew asked, too lazy to really act against the crazy woman.

"Leave this to me, Mew-sama."

Nodding, Mew left the woman to Aldos, while he healed up the injured people. They had stab wounds all over, some of them being fatal if not treated.

"Where is... Nphirea...?"

A bulky man asked, barely conscious.

[Don't know?]

Mew replied in confusion, not even aware who this Nphirea might be.

The man soon fainted, leaving Mew with a unanswered question.

A lot of noice was created as the woman and Aldos battled through out the house, and when silence returned, Aldos returned he dusted of his robes, a clear sign of irritation in his eyes.

[Escaped?]

"Yes... She had a curious item that thwarted my senses. She was gone when the effect faded."

[Too bad... Let's make up for it the next time!]

Not one to get down so easily, Mew perked up immediately, just in time for an old lady and Ains to arrive at the shop.

It was an understatement to say they were shocked by all the devastation and destruction that her shop had endured.

Followed by a sense of despair at the disappearance of a kid name Nphirea.
