Chapter 63 - Duan Jian.

Ning'Er and Ziyun were peeking inside the great hall; they could see guards at both sides.

Ning'Er glanced at Ziyun, who was sitting below her and peeking, "I can make sure no noise leaves the hall."

Ziyun looked at the guards, "they are just silver and gold; I can take care of them."

Both of them jumped inside the hall. Ready to fight.

At the same time, Miyuki was standing in front of the boy who had been ill-treated.

Other than Miyuki, Shen Xiu, and the boy, everyone had vacant eyes.

The boy was looking at them with vigilance, "Who are you?"

Shen Xiu didn't answer him; she looked around there were many guards around. In the middle was a fat old man with a massive build sitting with his eyes closed, surrounded by women.

No matter who it was, had vacant eyes, Shen Xiu felt a chill on her back. Even Legend Rank was able to do nothing against her; if her family was still their enemy, then no doubt they would be dead.

Miyuki glanced at the boy, but her attention was on Ning'Er and Ziyun, who were fighting. More like Ziyun was fighting and Ning'Er stopped any noise from leaking.

She frowned, "Ziyun is too weak."

Shen Xiu glanced at her, "She is Black Gold at 13; she is strong enough."

Miyuki had a deep frown on her face, "No, her demon spirit is too weak. We need to develop more of its ability." She only saw Ziyun use some petty techniques, nothing substantial.

Shen Xiu looked at her before looking at the boy; she sharpened soul force around her hand before cutting the chains trapping him, "Follow us for now."

The boy stood up, removing chains from his body, "What do you want?"

Miyuki smiled; the boy suddenly felt the world freeze. Before he knew it, he froze.

Shen Xiu gawked, pointing her finger at Miyuki, "You, why?"

Miyuki turned around, "He would ask too many questions, carry him."

Shen Xiu picked up the boy using her soul force, "I will never figure you out." she felt Miyuki was too different from when she was in front of Tatsuya.

When they walked back to the hall, the guards were fallen on the ground, either pierced by icicles or cuts on their bodies bleeding.

Ziyun was on her knees in a corner puking, Ning'Er was beside her, rubbing her back.

Ziyun was feeling sick; she thought that she might have killed someone. Although she had fought in the tournament, even injured other humans before, but she never killed anyone.

At this moment, Miyuki stroked her head, "It's ok, they are alive." looking at her, it reminded her of when she thought she had killed someone for the first time. Although Tatsuya helped her then.

She took out a cloth before wiping Ziyun's face with it, "It's ok."

Ziyun hugged her tightly.

Miyuki kept stroking her head; she looked at Ning'Er, "You ok Ning'Er?"

"Yeah, I wasn't the fighting." Ning'Er was standing at the side and making sure no noise leaks out. With so many enemies, even Ziyun couldn't hold back and take care of not hurting them too badly. She didn't think the people would get hurt so badly.

"They will be fine, we should go."

Sometime later, Throne Room,

The man with the large build was the first to open his eyes. He looked around, the first thing he noticed was the vacant eyes of everyone around him.

Anger and fear appeared in his eyes. He punched the armrest, breaking it while creating a shockwave, "Wake up!!"

Shockwave swept everyone away, waking them up.

"Where is that lowly mongrel!!" His eyes stared at the position where the boy was supposed to be, "Find them!!!!!"

He paused, "Call Hongyue!"

Tatsuya was sitting on a chair in the middle of three tents.

The tents were triangular white from the outside, orange from the inside.

In front of his was Yang Xin, who was focused on the red rock, holding a shaved piece of it.

She glanced at Yu Yan, "Can you help me melt it?"

Yu Yan nodded, "That's easy."

Tatsuya glanced at them, "Don't vaporize it."

Yu Yan proudly straightened her body, "Watch me."

Tatsuya sighed; he knew that the raw stone will be vaporized.

Soon, as Tatsuya thought, the stone vaporized.

Yu Yan looked at the place where a stone was and looked down at her feet, "I am sorry."

Tatsuya smiled, "Your divine spark is reforming too fast; it would take you some time to control your powers. I would suggest you don't use your powers here too much."

Yu Yan felt an arrow going through her heart. She was too proud, too soon.

Yang Xin had an awkward look on her face, "Did you, by chance, bring any equipment?"

Tatsuya shook his head, "No."

Yang Xin sighed, "The only thing I could figure out is that what those monsters dropped and this raw stone are really similar. More like those monsters ate these stones and became powered. In turn, they got somehow got purified."

Tatsuya nodded, "according to Miyuki, these can help us cultivate."

"I tried one, based on the potency they are most useful for Bronze to Gold."

Tatsuya nodded, "which is good for us, If we can find a way to purify and separate the potency, just enough is needed to rank up a bronze rank."

Yu Yan looked confused, "Why would you do that?" wasn't it better to have more potent one that ranked up gold or black gold.

Tatsuya contemplated, "In Glory City, there are more than millions of people. Nearly a million of them are commoners who are now about 3rd Rank or 4th Rank Bronze. I want them to reach a silver rank."

Based on the current population, he and Miyuki got around 50 to 90 million. If all of the people reached the silver rank, then the monthly points would reach 250 to 350 million.

He didn't think something like that was possible, even after so many years of progress. Alchemy association hadn't reached the point that they could make a million pills with that high potency for a price that commoners could purchase it at. But, with this ore, they just might be able to do that.

Yang Xin was shocked hearing that, "You are kidding!!! You want a million people to reach silver rank!!!"

Yu Yan opened her mouth, agape, "are you serious?" Even at her time, there wasn't a place where every even a commoner was silver rank. It was already shocking enough that all the people were in bronze rank.

Tatsuya looked at them directly, "I am, and it is possible with these ores."

Yang Xin shook her head, "We can't get enough material, I saw the way they were treating people. It was like slaves, they won't ever be able to produce enough materials for us."

"I already have a plan for that, I just need to make sure everything will be fine if I do something big."

Yu Yan smiled, "What you are trying to do is unprecedented." She felt this was too interesting; Glory City's force would be powerful with so many Silver Rank.

Yang Xin was rubbing her forehead, "More work, and here I thought this would be a happy trip."

Tatsuya smiled, "This time, I will help you."

Yang Xin widened her eyes, but soon a beautiful smile appeared on her face, "I will hold you to it."

"Hold him to what?" they heard a sudden voice. With the echo of that question smiling Miyuki, a pale-faced Ziyun, a nervous Ning'Er, and Shen Xiu with a shivering boy appeared.

Yang Xin was surprised but kept smiling, "Tatsuya promised to help me work."

Tatsuya glanced at the boy before focusing on Ziyun; he walked to her, "what happened?"

Ziyun looked at Tatsuya with tears appearing in her eyes before she tightly hugged him.

'What happened?' he telepathically asked them.

Miyuki looked at him, comforting Ziyun, 'She almost killed someone."

Tatsuya glanced at Ning'Er, 'Are you ok?'

Ning'Er bit her lip, 'Yeah!'... 'I should have acted like, I am not ok.'

Suddenly she heard laughter escape Miyuki's mouth; Shen Xiu looked away, covering her face.

Tatsuya acted as nothing happened.

Ning'Er looked around before she realized something; she looked at Tatsuya, "You didn't hear that? Right?"

Tatsuya nodded, "I didn't hear it."

Her face turned red, she sat down, burying her face in her knees

Ziyun sniffed before she pulled back, "Hear what?"

Tatsuya smiled, wiping her tears, "Don't worry."

Yang Xin looked at the boy, "Why is he shivering?"

Shen Xiu glanced at her, "He was talking too much."

She took out a blanket and wrapped it around him, "You people are too rough." She looked at the boy, "What is your name?"

He looked up, still shivering but with unyielding eyes, "Duan Jian!" he had gone through torture; the little cold was nothing to him, but this cold went to his bone. He never felt cold like before.

Yang Xin had a warm smile on her face, "Can you tell us more about this place?"

Duan Jian, who heard that was shocked; for a second, he couldn't process what he heard, "You, are you from outside?"
