Chapter 13 - Potpourri

Tatsuya realized while looking at Ning'Er that if he couldn't get away without answering her today. Just when he was weighing his option the system screen popped up in front of him.

Tatsuya looked at the screen, Miyuki also noticed the screen. She was worried when she saw the sudden change.

Tatsuya moved forward and gently patted her head "If you can reach legend rank then I will tell you. I can't tell you before that but I can tell you the reason why I can't tell you."

When she heard the first half of the sentence Ning'Er felt devastated she thought Tatsuya was rejecting but after hearing the second part she had hope that there might be a bigger reason why he can't say.

On the other side, Ziyun was startled by what was happening recently. First, she saw Tatsuya and Miyuki kissing.

She wouldn't be standing here if Miyuki didn't convince her. Now, she saw Ning'Er say things like this. On top of that Tatsuya rejected her. She was reaching her limit.

He let out a breath "I cannot talk about my powers no matter what be it to you or anyone else. It has nothing to do with trust." Tatsuya realized that this matter was more serious than he thought. This was the second time system interfered.

The first time it stopped Miyuki from practicing the void god technique and that too was an indirect message that she might get another technique and she could choose on her own which to practice.

This was the first time system directly interfered. All other skills he got from the system were somehow related to the path he chose but this was the odd one out. As if it was just for this moment. If the consequences of speaking about his power weren't huge system probably wouldn't interfere.

Ziyun was surprised "Tatsuya-ge?." Ziyun wanted to say something but Miyuki stopped her.

Miyuki held Ziyun's hand and shook her "Ziyun this is bigger than you think"

Ning'Er too was shocked. She didn't know what to say. He said it wasn't about trust. She couldn't imagine what could make him not even talk about his powers.

Tatsuya moved forward and gently pulled her into a soft hug and said while patting the back of her head "Sorry, You can believe me when I say this. If in this world I ever spoke to about my powers then the first one I will ever tell will be you."

Ning'Er felt as if the time had slowed down. Her heart started to beat faster. He tugged his clothes with both hands and put her forehead on his shoulder "Promise?"

Tatsuya kissed her head "Promise"

Miyuki smiled while seeing this. Ziyun let out a small breath of joy.

"Now, come let's go home."

"Yeah"

Sometime later Miyuki and Tatsuya reached their courtyard.

Although they both had a courtyard of their own they were used to living together.

"Onii-Sama, I am going to go to practice. I should be able to breakthrough Silver Rank by morning."

Tatsuya knew she was upset about what he said to Ning'Er but didn't say anything "Good, don't worry about school. Focus on breaking through."

Miyuki politely bowed "Yes, Onii-Sama" and left.

Tatsuya sighed 'I should also go breakthrough.'

Miyuki sat on her bed with a frustrated expression but soon calmed down and started to cultivate.

Next morning

Tatsuya was sitting on his bed with his face covered with sweat and a whirlpool of Soul Energy collecting around him.

Tatsuya let out a breath "Finally 1-Star Silver" but soon he frowned.

He released a small ball of soul force above his hand. He didn't want to know what would happen if this energy touched his hand. He turned his hand around and moved it downwards. As soon as this ball touched the mattress there was a hole in the mattress.

"This could become much more troublesome." He looked at the mission system.

He didn't want to think about it anymore so he stood up went to take a bath.

After showering, Tatsuya went towards Miyuki's room to see her progress.

When Tatsuya went inside her room. He could see Miyuki was still practicing, there was soul force all around her body.

When he looked at Miyuki she was wearing a white robe that stuck to her body. He saw sweat tickling from her neck to her cleavage. For some reason, he could hear his heartbeat.

He knit his brow. In the last world, there were many times he saw Miyuki wearing even lesser clothes but he never felt like this. He looked away and used elemental sight to watch her instead. When he used elemental sight people looked no different than numbers.

Miyuki's Soul force reached the limit and soon broke through the limit. Soon she reached a new limit again.

She slowly opened her eyes. She looked at Tatsuya standing in front of her with his eyes closed. She knew he was still 'watching' her. She moved towards him and put her arms around his neck while putting her head on his chest.

"Tatsuya-Sama"

Tatsuya opened his eyes and looked at her gently "Miyuki"

Miyuki slowly raised her head her lips rubbed against his neck and he slowly exhaled "why won't Tatsuya-Sama look at me"

Tatsuya put his hand around her waist "I am always looking at you Miyuki"

Miyuki's hand slid down from his neck to his chest "Tatsuya-sama, I want you to see me with your eyes. I want you to really look at me"

Tatsuya gently kissed her lips "Miyuki, we are still thirteen. It might hurt your body."

Miyuki knew he was right although in this world because of soul energy human bodies developed faster. Even if they were thirteen it was no different than being fifteen or sixteen. Not only that their bodies had more vitality. So even if something happened she was sure it would be fine.

But, she also knew unless Tatsuya was completely sure it won't hurt her. He wouldn't do anything. Even so, his word made her happy. That meant he was starting to see her as a woman.

She happily backed away and tightened her robe "then I will wait for you Tatsuya-sama"

Tatsuya just shook his head knowing he was played by her "why don't you check the reward now that you are one-star silver rank spiritist"

Miyuki hopped towards her bed with a big smile on her face "Yes."

She soon withdrew her reward. A thin notebook appeared in her hand.

She sat on the side of the bed and started reading the notebook. Tatsuya sat beside her and started looking at it.

"A technique that allows you to absorb five Astral God Spirits" Tatsuya looked confused. He hadn't heard or read anything about Astral God Spirits.

"Does it say what are Astral God Spirits?"

The notebook only had three or four pages. Miyuki turned the pages and skimmed through the content. Soon, she shook her head "There is nothing like that Tatsuya-sama"

Tatsuya opened his system store to check if there was anything like that.

Tatsuya supported her hastily "It's ok. You lost a lot of Spirit Force. Here I got these items. Store them in your Soul Ream" He took out two bundles of herbs and grasses.

Miyuki took the bundles and tried to absorb them in her soul realm. Soon, they appeared at the center of her soul realm and started filling her Soul Realm. Although it didn't restore her powers completely it felt much better than before.

"Thank You. Tatsuya-Sama" Miyuki got on her feet.

Tatsuya gently kissed her forehead "As long as you are fine."

"I have to go to the Alchemy Association to meet Nie Li. Do you want to rest or will you come with me?"

"I will come with you Tatsuya-Sama. Just let me get changed"

"I will be outside" with that Tatsuya moved toward the door. Just when he was about to open the door he heard the sound of a robe falling.

His footsteps stopped for a moment but then he continued walking.

Inside the room, Miyuki was standing with a pout on her face wearing white lingerie that she bought from the store muttering "You could have looked back"
