The next day in school I was surprised that Lisa was the topic on everyone's lips. Apparently, Lisa's father was caught in a scandal with his mistress. That was not a surprising fact. What surprised everyone was the fact that Lisa's mother was the mistress in the picture.
I was certain that Lisa would not have been in school if the news was released before she left home. Lisa tried to run out of the class and ride to hid her face but many of our coursemates got curious. Especially since Lisa's father was a public figure.
"How does it feel to be the daughter of a mistress?" one person asked.
"Is Mr. Smith really your father, or did your whore mother have you for another man," I hear another voice?
"Right, she does not bear Smith, so he is not her father," another voice said.
"Or maybe Gladstone is just a lie to cover up their secret," yet another.
