Her Charm

"Student Meng and Student Li, What are you doing here skipping classes?"

Meng Tian did not even need to turn around to know who it was. Teacher Tiao was slowly walking towards them with her signature cold eyes. As she neared them, her eyes turned a little warm, "Student Meng, you need to focus a little bit on your academics as well. Don't go around skipping classes like this. Go back to class and if anyone asks, tell them you were running some errands for me. I have something important to attend to. I will see you in class in the afternoon. Take care."

Fatty Li and the nearby girls... Yu Xunuo and Lin Caihong, were stunned by the words that came out of Teacher Tiao's mouth. Their presence was completely ignored by her and she walked away. Meng Tian was already quite familiar with Teacher Tiao, so he just smiled and nodded, "Yes, Teacher Tiao. Thanks." He then left the gym to go back to class which was about to end. After finishing another scheduled class, it was the time for lunch.

Fatty Li had been pestering Meng Tian for the past hour or so, regarding Teacher Tiao's behaviour. Meng Tian had no choice but to give some information regarding his 'good' Sword skills. Both of them got some food and were about to eat.

It was when a strange atmosphere had been created in the cafeteria. Just as Meng Tian raised his head to see what the whole commotion was, his eyes were locked onto a beautiful face looking at him.

Yu Xunuo and Lin Caihong were walking towards where Meng Tian and Fatty Li were sitting. They were the most popular girls in school and Meng Tian had a hunch that some kind of a trouble would soon follow. They came straight to their table and sat down.

Lin Caihong was nonchalant but Yu Xunuo was very curious towards her the junior who received a special treatment from the Martial Arts Teacher Tiao.

"Junior Brother, What is your name?"

Meng Tian thought that it was too much to cause such a scene just because of Teacher Tiao's attitude towards him. He knew that she had always been a warm-hearted person. But he relented and answered, "I am Meng Tian and this is Li Fang. We are both in our first year."

"Hmm... You are still in your first year? I thought you were only a year junior to us. Tell me, what basic martial techniques are you good at?" Yu Xunuo continued her rapid fire of questions.

Although Meng Tian saw her naked and her blue eyes mesmerized him, he did not lose his composure. His Soul was on a much higher level than most people on this planet. Hence, the beauty did not have any effect on him. But, seeing Meng Tian not answering her questions, Yu Xunuo was surprised and her pupils slightly contracted.

Her eyes suddenly lit up with a mysterious light, but it did not have any effect on Meng Tian. He was still looking at her like any other girl. His attitude came as a surprise to even Lin Caihong who was sitting and observing everything all this while. She knew that no one had ever escaped from Xunuo's hands without answering her questions.

It was not that he did not want to answer their questions, but Meng Tian was amused by a sudden prompt that appeared in his field of vision.

To his surprise, a new Experience came from a unique skill that he had never heard of before. Inside his consciousness space, Meng Tian saw the shadow of a dazzling young woman forming in front of him. She was looking at him with her deep blue eyes which completely entranced him. Suddenly his Soul trembled a little and the charm effect was cancelled. The shadow then turned into a blue smoke which was absorbed by his soul.

He just had to practice this skill for sometime to fill up its Experience bar, and make it his own skill which could be leveled up by Energy Points.

Meng Tian had underestimated the students from his school. He never thought that he would find a skill unrelated to the basic skills taught there. This discovery opened up many new ideas in his mind. He wanted to test all the students in his school and find out if they had any such skills for him to obtain experience from.

But this situation gave him a taste of the dangers associated with this world... At any point of time, anyone stronger than him could manipulate him with such strange skills and there would be nothing he could do. He might even lose his life or worse... Become a slave till death.

Meng Tian immediately shifted his gaze to Xunuo and saw that she was surprised and annoyed at the same time. He knew that she used this skill to get the 'true' information from him. He had to make sure the attention he was getting is minimized to the least. So, after a couple of seconds of what looked like hesitation, Meng Tian answered Xunuo, "I am good with the Sword."

Yu Xunuo's mind started thinking about various things, when she saw that her skill, inherited from her mother, had no effect on this junior of hers. She finally thought that she had found a unique talent for her to recruit to her family.

Just as she was about to halt her skill, she heard an answer that pulled her out from her thoughts. She looked at him for a few seconds but could not discern if he had been bewitched or not.

She completely ignored everyone else around her, who just saw the strange scene play out in front of them. They did not know what exactly was happening... But the two girls came and sat with two juniors, and the blue-eyed school beauty Yu Xunuo only had her eyes on the handsome boy. Both of them were staring at each other like they were the only ones in the world.

Even Lin Caihong was staring at this boy. Meng Tian felt that something was wrong with the way the two girls were acting, but he was a very patient man. Yu Xunuo felt that his eyes had a certain type of quality that she had only seen in the elders of her family...

The prideful and fearless eyes backed up by absolute power... She did not understand what experiences this junior had, that made her feel like this. And subconsciously, she began developing a likeness towards him.

Yu Xunuo had long since stopped her 'Eye of Charm'. Although she was unsure of Meng Tian's abilities, she had a hunch that he was somehow special. She casually smiled and asked him, "Alright... Uhm... We'll not be able to meet again after today... If you perform well enough in your academics and martial arts for the next two years, you have a chance to be scouted by the Capital College. I hope to see you join the Capital College as well. And maybe, we can continue our conversation that time..."
