24 . Mission Completed

POV : MIKAEL

TIME : 10 : 43 AM

Mika had stayed in the area for exactly 5 minutes and started walking back . He had collected 5 green keys in total from the battle sight . 

The T-900 he had tossed into the space rift had not left any key . Meaning that it had either survived or most likely it had been completely destroyed . 

He was betting on collecting the final key from the T-900 that had headed towards the cabin . 

In total , compiling all of them in total he had 8 keys and that felt like a good enough number to him . 

The weapon crate he had also collected but unfortunately , they were also not considered as items

They might not have been very effective against someone like him due to his hardening but they were still effective . 

Mika walked out of the forest and approached the cabin . Luckily , the T-7T was un damaged and was rested beside the cabin 

Mika had feared that the ally terminator would attack it but it seemed all was well . " Sarah , you can come out now . " 

Mika's hearing picked up the distinct sound of a gun being cocked in his direction . He stopped walking and waited for Sarah to come out .

" Thud " 

And expectedly of her , immediately she heard him to tell her to come out , the door was slammed open . 

The following events went exactly the same as the previous day . 

Mika caught her while she was still in mid air and spinned her around . 

" He ha ha " She giggled happily 

Mika could feel her relaxed intent . For the first time , her sadness had significantly lessened 

Letting her handle that T-900 was definately a good idea . Mika stopped and finally gazed at the T-850 that was standing at the door looking at their interaction .

He was surprised that it was an upgraded model that had been sent but not overly dissapointed with it . 

It would do a better job at protecting her . 

" I see you have a new friend . " Mika approached the T-850 which had remained silent over their conversation . 

The shotgun it had pointed at him was now lowered . It's hostility against him was now gone . 

Mika was using observe on it and from what he could see . The terminator did not have that much difference from the standard T-850 . 

But , the terminator had also it's own strange uniqueness . Which was expected for a major plot character .

First of all , it's model itself was interesting . It was a model T-850 PROTECTOR . The person who had sent it had obviously wanted that to be it's main focus . 

The next point that interested him was the fact that it had an extra ability that the others did not have 

[1 Human Emotion proficiency -12% ]

Mika found that to be a very interesting ability to add . It was a very unique thing to add to something that should normally be a killing machine . 

But the real question he really wanted to know was who had sent this T-850 to protect Sarah Connor .

From what he remembered , this terminator was sent from an unknown timeline from the future to protect Sarah Connor but it was never addressed who had sent it . 

Mika looked at Sarah and found that she looked comfortable enough with the T-850 . That was good . She would hopefully be able to handle it when he told her he was about to leave .

Sarah turned to him and Mika could see the excitement in her eyes 

" Mikael , you won't believe it . He was sent by my parents . " 

" Hmmm " Mika hummed in contemplation as he looked at the T-850 . The possibility was very likely . It could explain a lot of things actually . But why did they not just send themselves back . 

Would it have caused more harm than good for them to do that .Mika could understand that messing with time could have possible consequences so maybe that was the reason . 

" How do you know he was sent by your parents . " 

That was what Mika was more curious about . Was this contradiction brought forth by him . The movie he remembered had no such thing . 

" He has a video message from my mom !! " Sarah sounded so very excited . And Mika was still very happy for her . But he could fill the inner intent in her that continued to grow . The vengeance that filled her heart would not be easily removed . 

Mika was curious about the video recordings and he turned to look at the T-850 . 

" The recordings are only for Sarah Connor to hear . " The level of bluntness was funny in a way but Mika easily accepted it . 

But Mika could infer a lot of things from the recordings . From what he understood of the random worlds . One could establish side missions from doing certain events or following certain routes ..

The voice recordings sounded like the start of a side mission and from how crazy his perception was going , trying the side mission with his current level would get him dead . He could just feel it . And that was why he did not ask for further details . 

He looked at Sarah's happy smile and he knew it would be soon disappearing 

Mika had made his choice . There was no longer any other reason for extending his stay in the random world . 

" Sarah , I need to talk to you . " 

Mika saw her eyes widen in curiosity and she turned to look at him .

The following talk was going to be very difficult .

POV : MIKAEL 

TIME : 11 : 24 AM

" You have to let go eventually Sarah , " She had refused to let go after he had told her he was leaving . 

Mika could understand how she felt and why not . Her intent was clearly telling him . 

He continued patting her back gently and slowly easing her to accept the truth . 

 " You . . . . Promised ." She said silently and it was true , he had promised . But sometimes promises have to be broken . 

" I know Sarah but , I have something I need to do to make sure you remain safe . You remember Skynet right . It's the one to blame for me leaving . "

Mika studied her intent and it finally changed . He had his own agenda for doing what he was doing . 

" That's why , when I finish my mission , I'll come back and make sure to never leave again . Okay . " 

He could feel the conflict going on inside her . It must have been hard for her . To gain something but then loose it again .

Mika lifted her head and looked directly at her eyes . 

" I promise Sarah . " She retained the gaze and then nodded slowly . 

" Pinkie promise !" she brought forth her hand with her pinkie forward . 

" Pinkie promise " Mika smiled back at her and carried her towards the orange truck he had taken . 

The truck had been loaded with the weapon crate the terminator had come with from the future . The T-7T , a pet he had given to Sarah , his creation such as the flame thrower and finally the things he had bought from AMMU-NATION . It was truly sad that he could not keep those items .

The main reason he left the T-7T despite it being considered an item was for it to protect Sarah Connor . It could be of use to him as a scout but he'd rather it remained here with her .... And also the system had made it very clear that he lacked the necessary storage and ability required to keep it . How unfortunate !!!!!

The T-850 was sited in the driver sit , waiting for Sarah Connor to board the truck . He deposited her on the passenger sit and locked her sit belt . 

" Make sure you train and become stronger Sarah . " He said and gently kissed her fore head . He pretended to reach behind his back and brought out two items . One was the Berretta 92FS he had bought and the other was a modified terminator eye which would act as a locator . " Always keep these with you . " Sarah nodded her face redening in joy . 

" Protect her with your life . " He said to the T-850 who only nodded in agreement . He had left to it the processor chips of the Terminators he had harvested . He recalled it would be useful for later . 

The truck started pulling away and Mika watched it leave . 

" BYYYEEEE ! " He waved back to Sarah who was waving from the window . Her eyes were watering slightly and she was smiling widely .

Mika was thinking about the traps he had set up at the cabin as he saw the truck getting further and further .

He almost threw a fit when he thought about the traps he had set go to waste ! The dedication he had dedicated for that house to be a death trap completely went to waste !! Damn it !!

After the truck went past the 10km distance , Mika disappeared from the area .
