Like A Thorn To The Throat And To The Back

The banquet was held at a manor that was under the banner of the Duke of Siswell's family.

This was the first time Su Wan had come to this place.  Although she had been born into a wealthy family and was used to seeing all sorts of luxurious backgrounds, she was still somewhat astonished by the wealth of the Siswell family after she had followed Jiang Xuecheng here.

As the head of the four great families, the Siswell family had shown over the past few years that they were almost on par with the God's Palace.

Just looking at this majestic building from the outside, it wasn't the least bit inferior to Jiang Xuecheng's residence at the God's Palace.

Moreover, the guards and maids at the entrance were all handsome men and beautiful women.  What a grand scene.

Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng sat in the maglev carriage.  They saw the guests walking into the manor one after another.  Every one of them was well-dressed and noble.
