The high priest's gaze was as still as the sea, but also as if there was a little bit of starlight floating about.

She shot a meaningful glance at Diya.  "It's more serious than you think."

Faced with the high priest's god-like insight, Diya felt a little guilty at first, but on second thought, no matter how powerful the high priest was, it was impossible for her to read minds.
