The Hostless Blob Of Infection.

I turned my back on the gate, I think I need to rest. I haven't slept in a while, and it's always nice to dream… Well not now, but you know what I mean. As I walked back home the floor began to slowly crumble, I took one step forward, and then I fell down.

I hit the floor face first, I got up very quickly. The cold air brushed against my back, I was in a massive cave. Stalactites hanged on the roof like bats, and droplets of water fell onto the floor echoing out. There were no holes, nor any source of light, the hole above me was quickly sealed. I was trapped in darkness.

I punched one of the walls, in an attempt to break out, but it did not do anything other than cause a stalactite to fall. Behind me a calming glow rubbed my back, I turned around and saw a massive blob of infection that calmly glowed.

Its gelatinous body swished and swirled, what I assume to be its core was still and had some dents on it. The slime's glow lit up, and then it somehow did a terrifying roar that sounded like a mix of man and female.

This scream caused me to lose balance, but by slamming my foot on the ground I regained it. The area glowed up as other infection blobs spawned on the walls, the slime quickly slid to one of the sides of the room.

I took out my weapon as the blob jumped up and down causing stalactites to fall onto the ground, I dodged one and then rushed to the blob. The blob, let me get close to it, I raised my blade into the air and then slammed it down on the blobs head.

The blob swished around as the blade contacted its body, ripples appeared on its body but no harm was done to it. The blob spat out pieces of infection at me, one of them hit my chest causing a burning sensation to ring across my body.

I grabbed the wound and then used Gello to whip the blob away, the blob slammed into a wall it looked dazed. I looked at Gello and used it to fire tears at the blob, each tore off a chunk of the blob easily.

The blob got out of the daze and then with two dashes it ended up in front of me, it screamed again causing my head to burn. I held my head, and Gello did the same the blob pounced on me. The blob began to consume my natural armor, it was very painful it was like someone was forcing me to touch boiling water.

My armor broke down in the blob making it become larger, but once it reached my flesh the worms came out and harmed it forcing it off of me. I quickly tried to heal, but I had no soul, so I just had to deal with the injuries.

I saw a red crack appear on the ground, I shot some tears at the blob and then ran towards the crack. A ghost appeared and then aimed at the blob and started to fly towards it, the blob was smart enough to know that the ghost would do it harm.

The ghost flew closer and closer until it was in the blobs face, but the blob split in half dodging the ghost. The ghost slammed into a wall and caused an explosion with tore down parts of the wall, I crouched down as white specks of soul appeared in the air and gathered into my sword.

I dashed at the blob and then used dash slash to slice it in half, the slime looked very vulnerable. I brought down my blade like a blacksmiths hammer, the slime shook as a tendril came flying out and wrapped around my arm.

The slime span around as I got wrapped in the tendril, the blob made sharp spikes on its body and with one tackle the spikes got shoved into my body. My flesh was being ripped apart as the slime jumped up and down making the spike enter and exit my body over and over again.

Excursion: "I'm losing to a fucking slime! Hell no!"

Using Gello I made it tie up the blob and slam it into the wall over and over again, I had enough soul to focus, so I healed up a bit. The blob laid on the floor as it gave another scream, I had won. Or so I thought, once the blob screeched like a furious animal another larger blob appeared.

This one was dark red and its core had a gleeful face etched onto it, behind the slimes many dead bugs were hung on the roof. Weavers, mantis, and more both of them looked at each other and screeched.

Excursion: "A second phase!?"

The slimes grew two tendrils and attached them together, linking both of the slimes. The big slime started to spin around, as it got quicker and quicker the small slime slammed into the walls and hung insects murdering them.

I saw the dark energy crawl up my fist as I dashed at the big slime, but the small one cut me off by slamming into me. My skull cracked even more as I screamed in pain, I made my hand flat as a stinger came out.

I ran at the slime again, but the little one tried to slam into me again. But I managed to grab it, my body was pushed back, but I still managed to stop it. The air got warmer as orange air leaked in, I shoved the stinger into the small slime causing some slime to turn into ice.

The slime growled as it fell motionless, the bigger one screamed in rage and the rolled at me. I barrel rolled to the side and brought out my blade as the stinger retracted into my arm, the big one stood over me as a massive arm formed on it.

Excursion: "Wait, why didn't it go to phase two yet? Since I killed the small one."
