EPISODE 14

FROZEN QUEST

It's midnight,and the hunters of a near by village, inside a forest, outside the Golden castle, were awake.

They were preparing to hunt.

It was easy for them to hunt down the animals at that time. So they had prepared themselves .

"Let's go.

We have a long way to go ",the head of the hunters said.

All the hunters carried their weapons, and went into the forest.

In an hour, all the hunters were deep inside the forest.

They got to an open field. Where they found a herd of deers, laying down and resting.

The head of hunters signalled the others to be silent. So that the deers won't know that they where there.

They all became silent.

He gave them a sign on when to move and take position.

And they followed.

When the hunters were sure that the deers had began to nap, the head of hunters signalled the others to go.

As the hunters took a step, something strange happened.

A huge manly and scary figure, dashed into the midst of the deers.

The deers began to panic and run for their dear lives.

"What was that?",one of the hunters asked.

"Something chased the deers",another said.

Because of the commotion, the herds of deer dashed towards the hunters area.

Shocked, all the hunters jumped out of the way. So as to avoid getting stumped.

The deers ran crazy, until they where far.

The hunters came out from the bushes.

"What was that?

E be like say something trigger them o",One of the hunters said to the head.

"Something from the shadows,ran into their midst ",the head of hunters said.

Just then,the hunters felt something passing them in a flash.

They turned and couldn't find it.

They could feel the presence of the strange creature.As it moved continuously, in a stilt way.

"Something dey here o oga!! ",One panicked in fear.

Another then shouted ,"Something touch me!

Something touch me! "

"Be quiet!!

Stop shouting ",the head of hunters scolded the hunter.

The head of hunters then said, "The more you shout,the more..."

Something liquid drops on his shoulder.

The head of hunters touches it. Only for him to see that it's blood.

Shocked, he looks up and is astonished by what he saw.

There was a huge and mighty werewolf,standing behind them.

The werewolf had a horrifying appearance. There was a dead deer in its mouth.

The werewolf flinged the dead deer up into the air with its mouth, and gave it a big bite. Consuming it immediately.

Blood splashed on the hunters faces and they screamed in horror.

The head of hunters carried his gun and began to shoot.

In a flash, the werewolf dashed into their midst.

Flinging them in rage.

The hunters flew into the bushes roughly.

The head of hunters quickly got up, and saw the werewolf running into the forest.

The path that the werewolf took, suddenly turned frozen.

Leaving them shocked.

Morning at the Golden castle, lectures had begun, and students were heading to their departments.

Abigail, Christiana, Ganiyat,Adeola,Blessing and Ife were done with lectures for that morning.

Treasure and Gracious were having a class now. So they had gone for class.

The others decided to go back to their room and rest.

"Ope o!!

Make I go sleep small before evening lesson",Blessing said and stretched out her arms.

"Me too.

Today's class was boring.

I almost fell asleep today",Christiana also said, and yawned.

"You girls can go and sleep.

Me,Adeola,Ganiyat and Ife want to take some selfies",Abigail said, bringing out her phone.

She quickly handed it to Ife and said, taking a pose, while they were heading outside,"Give me your best shot "

Ife snapped.

"My turn! ",Adeola said, and rushed to pose in front of the camera.

The girls continued to snap.

They were almost close to the entrance, when Blessing said to the girls, "Today, while I was drawing that phoenix that Gracious saw, I began to wonder what the other mystical creatures looked like.

Do you think there's a mermaid among them?

Or even a fairy? ".

"One thing is that I don't want to see any disgusting snake",Christiana said, as she shivered in irritation.

"So you hate snakes?

Even me too",Ife said, taking a pose.

Ganiyat quickly gave Adeola the phone and rushed to take a pose.

"It would be fun to see all those mystical creatures ",Abigail said.

She rushed to the front to take a selfie.

Forgetting that they have reached outside, Abigail moved back to take a selfie very well.

She didn't look to see that she was close to the step already.

Immediately she moved again to take another pose, Abigail lost her balance and almost collapsed.

"Ah! ",she shouted and almost fell down.

The others saw this and wanted to help.

But there was no need.

Francis,who was climbing the step, saw when Abigail was about to fall. So he rushed and rescued her quickly.

Francis had held Abigail close, so that he could balance himself well.

Abigail looked at him, as he looked at her and asked with a smile, "Are.. Are you okay? "

Abigail nods while looking at him.

Seeing this, the girls began to smile cunningly.

Abigail balanced herself well.

She moved away from Francis side and stood close to her friends.

"Sorry.

I didn't see where I was going to ",Abigail apologized.

"It's okay.

I understand.

You.. You didn't know,i get",Francis said with a smile.

Abigail also smiled back at him.

Francis looked at the others, as they looked at him back. Then he cleared his throat and asked, "I hope you girls are doing fine?

Hope you're okay in your... room? "

"We're doing great.

Thanks for asking",Blessing said.

"That's good to hear.

Well... I'll be heading to class now.

If.. If you girls need anything, just let me know.

I'll be available to assist you girls in anything",Francis said.

He walked pass them.

The girls too began to walk away.

Francis got close to the entrance of the castle, and stopped.

He turns back to look at Abigail. Who was busy laughing and talking with her friends.

A smile suddenly appeared on his face. It made him feel good at that moment.

Then, he walked into the castle.

Little did he know that Ella and her friends, we're hiding close to a pillar.

They were also coming out,when they spotted Francis,helping Abigail, and also speaking to the girls sweetly.

Ella became jealous.

She watched the girls, as they walked far. Heading to the store room,which is now their room.

"Can you imagine those girls?

See the way that one is nearing Francis",one of Ella's friend said.

The other one hissed and said, "Nonsense!!

It's like they want to receive another punishment.

Ella, please deal with them very well this time.

Who knows what they'll do next.

Maybe they'll even snatch Francis from right under your nose"

"Just be quiet!! ",Ella sparked.

"Just because that brat was saved by Francis, doesn't mean that she wants to snatch him.

And even if she wants to, I'll show her her place",Ella said,looking upset.

Seeing Francis, speaking with her enemies, made her angry.

She decided to do something about it.

Trying to get her mind off the girls, Ella decided that they go to the cafeteria and eat something.

They were about going, when Ella remembered something.

"Geez!!..i almost forgot.

Mr Adebayo told me to see him after class. It's concerning our history assignment".

"Then you'll have to go and see him quick.

I pray that the assignment is simple o",one of her friends said.

Ella gave her books to one of them to hold.

"Let me go and meet him. I'll see you guys at the cafeteria ",she said and left.

Ella went back into the castle.

Her friends headed for the cafeteria.

"Hey girls,did you read this funny news today?"

"Funny news? "

"No, what happened? "

They asked.

She brings out her phone and reads the news.

"Listen to this.

Hunters outside of Golden city, leaving in a village inside the forest, claim... they saw a werewolf in the forest"

"A werewolf!!",they laughed.

"Listen to this part of the news... ",she laughed.

Then she continued

"..the head of hunters claimed that ice came out from the werewolf, while it was running "

"Ahhhhh!

Ice ke?

This one weak me o"

They laughed.

"Abeg make this ones pack their false news go one side.

After you'll hear that they saw dinosaur washing clothes inside bush".

They laughed and entered the cafeteria.

"Where is that camera?!

I wonder where it is",Mr Adebayo ask rhetorically.

He was gathering some of his things, into his briefcase.

He had seen the news on the werewolf that morning.

It left him astonished and blown away.

Many saw it as a fallacy. But for Mr Adebayo, it was a chance to prove his greatness,and his gateway to fame.

"If I can prove that that werewolf is real and I can catch it, I'll be famous",he said excitedly and zipped his bag.

Then he stopped and thought about it.

"Wait!!

Madam Elizabeth won't allow me to go.

She'll think that I'm looking for a way to go and enjoy myself instead of working.

I'll have to think of something "

Mr Adebayo was thinking of a way to get to the village.

But how?

Just then, Ella knocked on his office door.

He turned and saw her.

She greeted him.

"Sir I came for the assignment",she said.

"Oh yes.

I'm coming",he said, checking his table.

He was checking, when he came across one topic.Which was talking about ancient artifacts.

He thought about giving them an assignment on it. But his mind suddenly sparked.

"I've got it",he thought to himself.

"If I tell Madam Elizabeth that I want to take the students, out on a tour outside Golden city, concerning the ancient artifacts, she'll agree.

Yes!!

I can use that as their assignment too".

He was pleased with this plan of his.

Mr Adebayo faces Ella and said, "The assignment that I want to give your class would be decided on our way"

"On our way to where? ",Ella asked, looking confused.

"I'll be taking your class on a tour, outside Golden city.

There is a village outside the city. It has so many artifacts and stories behind them.

So that's where the assignment would come from",Mr Adebayo said.

Ella gasped happily.

"Finally.

A chance to leave the school and explore the outside of the city",she thought happily.

"This can also be a way of getting closer to Francis.

But.. He's not an art student",she frowns.

Then she had an idea.

She quickly said to Mr Adebayo,who was planning on going to tell Madam Elizabeth, "Sir..,Pls let the trip be on Wednesday.

That's the only day in the castle,that's free for every student.

Who knows, we might end up carrying more students along"

"Hmm..

You have a point there.

Okay then. Wednesday it is",Mr Adebayo said.

Ella became pleased.

Mr Adebayo quickly rushed out of his office.While Ella headed for the cafeteria.

She couldn't wait to go on the tour, with Francis beside her.

Later in the afternoon, the girls were at the Alphas hideout training.

Faith wasn't there.

She was busy cleaning and sweeping with the other cleaners.

Gracious and Treasure where back from their lectures.

So they joined the others at the Alphas hideout.

"What do we have here?

Six ladies looking tired and stressed out from the training ",Treasure said, leaning against the wall.

The others looked at them.

"Where have you girls been?",Ganiyat asked.

Gracious sighed and said, "Lectures.

Today's lectures was tough.

I wasn't expecting it at all"

"Me too",Treasure added.

"Well it's good that you girls are back.

I was about to tell a story",Blessing said.Moving away from the others.

"Hmm, a story. Can't wait to here it",Abigail said.

She created an ice throne for herself, and sat on it comfortably.

The others looked at her.

"What?!

I was feeling hot.. and tired.

Well I needed something to cool myself down with",she said. Relaxing herself.

Adeola created chairs for Gracious and Treasure to sit down.

Blessing then said, "The story I'm about to tell, will be in form of a drama.

So Adeola,Ife,Ganiyat and Christiana would be helping me out ".

"Interesting ",Treasure said, looking excited.

"Just make sure that the story is interesting o",Abigail said.

Blessing and the others moved back a little bit.

They had a funny look on their face.

If only Abigail was looking, she would have noticed what they were up to.

"Let the tale begin",Blessing said. Dimming off the light with her powers.

She created a spot light that appeared in the middle. Revealing Ganiyat. Acting as a star.

"A young and beautiful lady named 'LA Lovette',was the most beautiful model in her country",Blessing began.

Ganiyat began to act like a model. Throwing kisses left and right. While Ife,putting on a fake mustache, held a fake camera,and pretended to be snapping.

"This is interesting ",Abigail said, sitting well.

Blessing continued.

"Her fame went round the world like wildfire.

People loved her and wanted to be like her"

Adeola used her power to create human figures from the earth. Clapping for Ganiyat.

The others were watching.

Abigail was finding it interesting.

She imagined herself as the lady in the story.

"But something happened to her one faithful day...

An enemy of progress.. Known as... STEP... tried to end her career"

Adeola came into the spotlight as a step.

Her body was covered in earth.With the step pattern designed on her.

She began to dance like a crazy person.

Gracious and Treasure laughed.

But Abigail suddenly became suspicious of the drama.

"Hey wait a minute ",she said. Observing the play.

"This crazy and evil step wanted to end LA lovette for good.

So one day, when she was modelling on the step... The evil step began to shake. Allowing her to fall"

Ganiyat was on the step, which is Adeola.

She was modelling. Then Adeola began to dance crazy.

Ganiyat acted as if she was in trouble.

She pretended to have missed her step and screamed, "Save me!! ".

"Out from no where,.. A tall,handsome and good looking man named Antonio, dashed in to rescue her"

Just then,Christiana came into the spotlight and caught Ganiyat.

Immediately she caught her, Abigail gasped, understanding everything.

"LA lovette! ",Christiana called in a soft and cool voice. Taking Ganiyat's hand.

"I hope you're not hurt? "

"Not at all Antonio",Ganiyat blinked her eyes fast.

"I must say.. Your beauty always leaves me short of words LA lovette",Christiana teased her and winked at her with a smile.

Gracious and Treasure laughed.

Ganiyat giggled and said, "Oh stop it Antonio.

Naughty"

"Hold it!!! ",Abigail shouted. Interrupting the play

The light came back on.

"I see what you're doing. You're teasing me ",Abigail frowned.

Blessing and the others laughed.

Gracious and Treasure looked at Abigail.

"Wait!, I don't get.

Teasing you as in how? ",Gracious asked.

"Let me tell you the story", Christiana said, walking up to Abigail.

"Queen of Models over here, couldn't stop snapping herself.

She and her disciples over there",

She points at Adeola, Ife and Ganiyat.

"Where snapping and taking turns.

Then Madam over here missed her step and fell right into the science president's arm".

The two of them gasped and bursted into laughter.

Abigail frowned and said, folding her arms ,"It was an accident.

Anyone can make a mistake "

"Right!!

into Francis' arms.

Got it",Treasure said, giving her the thumbs up.

Abigail groaned and frowned at the others.

They all laughed at her. She too suddenly began to laugh.
