I sat down at the desk, reading the letter Jake had written to me.

Dear Jade.

I thought and had hoped we had longer than this. We have known each other for as long as we both remember. You have always been by far the most unique and authentic person I have met.

And in this copy-and-paste world, that's exactly what made me appreciate you. But it was your kindness, your with, your beauty, and your intellect that made me love you.

Some would say you were intimidating because you always knew what you wanted, and would never listen to people telling you what you could or couldn't do. But if you ask me they were intimidated because you were everything they weren't, including me.

I had hoped to see what you would have become and be proudly by your side. You were always the one who would make it, but now I simply get through the day in the hopes of meeting you in my dreams.

I'll always have to wonder what would you have become like and know I'll never get to tell you how special you actually are. I'll never get to tell you how much I love you. Others tell me I'm young and I'll find someone else, but I only want you. Your name is engraved in my heart.

In another life, I would never let you go, and tell you every day all the things I'll never get to tell you in this one.

I love you. Jake.

I looked at the bed, where Jake was still asleep. I walked up to the bed, stroked Jake's hair and got sucked into his dream.

Jake was sitting on the hill at the camping site. I walked up to him and put my hands over his eyes.

"Guess who." I smiled, knowing it worked and I was with Jake for now.

"That was about time, I waited here for hours."

Jake pulled me on his lap and wrapped his arms tightly around me. I held him back, we sat like that in silence until the sun went down in his dream.

"Jade, I love you. You know that right?"

"I do, and I love you too Jakey."

"How can you visit me like this Jade? I don't feel like you're gone."

I took a deep breath, what was I supposed to answer to this? I wanted to tell him the truth, but I knew I shouldn't give him false hope.

"I'm here in your dreams to give you closure Jake. I miss you and know what I felt for you was real despite our age. But it was meant to last as long as it did."

I saw his eyes filled with pain, but not for long because he pulled me closer and stroked my hair. He smelled the same as he always did, like home.

"I love you Jade, we may not have had a long time, but I know I'll never love anyone the way I love you."

Slowly the dream started to fade away, he was waking up and I was pushed back to my own bed in France, in the enormous mansion my father owned and where I lived now. Without Jake, without him knowing I was safe and well. I silently cried in my pillow until it started to become light outside and I got up to wash my face.

The nights after I tried to visit him, but for some reason, he didn't dream and I could only look at Jake's sleeping body. He didn't leave me any other letters or notes.

Before I realized it the month had passed by and I had my first day at the school my father told me he'd send me to. I didn't feel nervous, though I had a feeling this school would be nothing like any school I ever went to before.

I looked in the mirror I had in my walk-in closet, My black school uniform looked cute if I was honest, it was made to look elegant. My hair had been cut in a different haircut. This would make it easier to look different for me.

Knocks sounded on my door and Sebastien walked in. He was dressed in his school uniform and leaned against the wall.

"Are you ready?" He wanted to know.

I nodded and I followed him. He walked us to the garden, where we walked down to the pool.

"What are we doing here?" I asked confused.

"Just trust me." Sebastian's only answer was as he walked me to the edge of the garden and reached for my hand before he pulled us through a big, old tree.

The next moment we were in front of a beautiful old building. The school looked like a castle, it was beautiful and enormous. Flowers and plants were growing everywhere as if the school building was the center of life and in front of the school was a beautiful fountain.

Sebastien led me through the maze of hallways walked me to the empty class and reassured me he'd pick me up for my next classes. I looked around, it looked like any normal classroom, and I started to take my materials out of my bag.

As my classmates started to come in I was surprised by how impossibly beautiful each and every one of them was. As if it wasn't enough for me to have to go to a new school in my new life without Lillith and Jake, I also felt like the ugly one, and definitely the outsider as everyone seemed to know each other already.

"Good morning everyone, before we start our class, we have a new student. As you all know this means we expect you to help her out if needed and to be kind. Jade, welcome to the Heavenly Academy.

"I see you survived your first class." Sebastien greeted me and waited for me to put everything in my bag before he walked me without a word to my next class. No one else had spoken to me yet, not that it bothered me. I was here to learn, and making friends wasn't part of my plan this time.
