Chapter Three: Evicting the demon

Adam was walking into a darkness then he saw the woman again, her face was still blurred by the darkness, "who are you? ", he questioned as he walked closer though she was not moving but it seems he was not getting closer and she stared at him under the shadows of her cloak, "who are you? ", he repeated his question finally standing still as he noticed he wasn't making a progress towards her. She stretched her left hand towards him beckoning on him to keep coming but he only keeps looking at her and a black hole appeared beneath them making him to uncontrollably fall. He woke up sweating, it was another nightmare involving the mystery woman, he should be used to this now he thought but no, he was always afraid.

Adam was smoking when he heard a knock, he opened it and to his surprise his veranda was chocked up with people from the locale he was living, they were led by a man he suspected to be the locale chairman, "how may I help you? ", Adam asked

"Of course you will have to help us", the fat bald man who happens to be the chairman said courageously looking at him, "people are afraid of you but I must tell you that am not", he cemented

"Why should they or you be afraid in the first place?, I am just me", Adam said looking at all of them

"We want you to leave within forty-eight hours ", the chairman said and this made Adam looked at him in a funny way

"Is that an eviction notice? ", Adam asked

"Whatever it means to your ear, we want you out of this vicinity ", the chairman said

"Or you won't be able to comprehend the suffering you will go through if we meet you here after forty-eight hours ", a husky man said from the little crowd

"This is a warning, do not see our bad side", the chairman said as they made their way out of his building then the strange man appeared

"What should I do to them? ", he asked Adam who was calm

"Nothing, I will just have a little fun with them", Adam said not moving, "what is your name? ", Adam asked

"Just call Kohl then I will appear to take you to the devil", he said as he vanished into thin air.

A tall dark and handsome man dressed in double breasted suit walked into a school library and he met with the librarian, a woman whose hair was cut into a low cut with a pattern at the right side, "character fifty seven ", he said simply and she decoded and gave him a white handkerchief. He walked around to a shelf resting on a wall, he used the handkerchief to tilt a book to it's right and the shelf gave way for him to an underground building and he walked into it with the shelf returning to it's position.

In the underground building

The place was lighted with candles and lanterns, the dark man entered and it seems a meeting was on around a huge round table, he bow to the queen who was on the head chair and took a sit at her left hand side. They were five sitting including him, "how about the work I sent you? ", the queen asked with air of authority in her voice

"The devil has got to him first ", he blurted out

"What did you just say Robin? ", she asked calling his name with anger visible in her eyes. She was extremely beautiful with a young body but looking into her eyes you will see years of experience, her dark skin complimented her looks even more

"Am sorry, but we can get him to us before he reached the devil", Robin said hoping she will understand

"And we have to be quick", another black beauty, Martha said looking at the queen who was sitting and probably thinking.

Adam was sleeping with two prostitute hoping having fun with ladies will drive away his nightmare just then one of the lady woke up and wakes him to and he looked at her, he saw her face but couldn't comprehend how she looks but he recognized she was the mysterious woman in his nightmare. He woke up sweating profusely then he looked at his side and saw the ladies still sleeping naked one covered hers with his blanket but the other was shamelessly opened. He came down from the bed dropping two bundles of cash on the wardrobe beside the bed, each for an harlot. He walked away from the motel walking to his home, he was sick of the nightmare but most importantly he want to know who he truly was.

As promised, the chairman and ten men entered Adam's house with weapons to get him clobbered to death and they met him sitting down calmly as if expecting their arrival, "you really one stubborn young man ", the chairman said looking at him

"The last time you came you said you are not afraid of me but today I want to make you scared ", Adam said and this made the chairman burst out into an uncontrollable laughter then boom the doors got locked and everyone was startled

"You will have to do more than that to scare me ", the chairman said looking relaxed

"I know and am more than ever ready to serve you " Adam said and puff he vanished and the warm house begin blowing cold the men were already down to their knees but the chairman seemed unmoved and he stood firmly

"I must say am impressed with you old man", Adam voice echoed out and then the chairman began floating on air and his heart skipped a bit

"Put me down now", the man commanded with fear visible in his voice. The house was a flat but the chairman felt he was going to the clouds so he screamed for help.
