ENITIOKANMIYAN

They started dating. Love from the scratch was something exciting for Linda as she had dreamt of building and growing with the man of her dreams. They always saw each other, shared songs, pictures and even played games when apart. Their love was so perfect that every other suitor became so strange to them. With the little they had, they were satisfied.

"Babe, let us give each other a pet name", Linda suggested. "Okay, names like what?", Charles replied the chat. She quickly went to Google to search for unique names but found none worthy of Charles. Then, an idea came, she switched the search to another language, to Yoruba. Charles too was in support of the language change. "I'll call you Oluwafeyifunmi, meaning the Lord has placed you in my care", Charles replied with the most beautiful petname. "Then, I'll call you Enitiokanmiyan, meaning the one my heart chose", she replied.

Henceforth, it was either Feyi or Okanmiyan to the extent people thought the names were their official names. The love was that gracious. From bringing food to Linda and Kim, to Linda cooking in his house, everyone united as one big family.

Linda did so many spoken words for Charles, she turned to a preacher of love and had confidently chosen love over money. This love wasn't ordinary, she happened to overlove Charles and got everything she saw that looked unique for him.

"I want to eat small chops", Linda sulked. "Okay, take and go get it, anything for you", Charles gave what seemed to be his last money to her. She realized this and felt bad but still went ahead to get it. On her way back, she called a shoe vendor on the phone and demanded for a size 45 Nike sneakers. Unfortunately, the sneakers available was more than the money on her but after the intense negotiation, she got it. Linda had emptied her account to get the sneakers but she was so happy as though she won an American lottery.

Getting to Charles' home, she ran into the room, opened the pack of small chops and they both ate till they were tired.

After the quick snacking, she brought out the box of shoes and handed it over to Charles. His face brightened up. 'What is this?", he asked looking all emotional. He brought the box out of the nylon and screamed when he saw the Nike inscription. "Come and see o, Pius", he screamed as he called out to his friend Pius who was in the sitting room. Pius ran into the room, brought out his phone and took a video of the priceless moment.

This was the love Linda had always wanted, a love so pure, warm and true. Charles hugged and whispered to her, "thank you".
