Koppalayar Wood is about 200 km from Hamirpur, the town where they live. It will take approximately five hours to reach there. Generally, vampires are active in the dark hours but the team has decided to go in the day so that they can gather some facts and knowledge about the place.

" Is this necessary Ahmed that we have to caught it alive? As it will be hard instead of killing it," Mohan asks. " It will be more beneficial for the search to strangle it alive. Otherwise let's see what happens", Ahmed answers.

They all started talking about the things and knowledge that they will collect before attacking the vampire. The time passes and they reach to the village Chandri. After this village the Wood will start and there is a very few houses there. So they decided to gather information about the beast there.

They divided themselves in two groups. One of Ahmed and Pratap and the another of Mohandas, Kamal and Raman. Ahmed and Pratap go to West and they to East.

Raman finds a old lady sitting quiet at the door of her house. He wishes her and asks about is there something horrible. Lady stares at them and asks from where have they come from. "We are from Hamirpur Amma. We have heard that there are vampires in Koppalayar Forest. Is this true? Will you help us?"

" Yes, they are. But you should have not come here. They come at night in the village sometimes. They have a terrific sound and body. All fear of them. They have killed many people of village. My husband and son were also killed by them. Now only I am living in this house. There are many families which are ruined by them. I warn you all to go back", old lady starts crying.

" We are so sorry Amma that we have made you remember the pain of losing them. Nothing will happen to us. We are equipped with guns and weapons. They can't harm us. You just tell us where we will find them". Amma replies, " As you all wish, what I can do if you are not understanding. They live in the forest. There is a place there fully covered with trees. Light reaches hard to the ground there. They all rests there at day time and searches for food at night in nearby villages.They are perhaps six in number or more".

Raman thanks Amma for help. She blesses them and moves into the house. Pratap finds a boy about 14. He asks him about the forest but he didn't answer anything. Ahmed sees a man of forties coming out from a house nearby. He goes to him and tells the purpose of them being there.

The man exclaims it is of no use of coming there, instead their lives will be in danger if they will stay more here and goes back inside the house. Ahmed and Pratap comes back to the place where they have started and found the three there waiting for them.

They all shared, what they saw, felt and heard. A terror has born in their minds which they were trying to hide from one another. They decided to stay in Amma's house for the night and observe the things more clearly. Amma allows them to stay in her house for the night.

Ahmed takes out the packed food and shares it with all his friends and Amma. Amma has also prepared some rice. After having dinner they have just gone to the beds, when they heard the terrible howls of vampires. It means they are ready to go for search of their prey.
