CHAPTER 5

ARIANA'S POV

It's been almost three weeks, me and Mason have grown quiet close. He visits me at college whenever he gets the chance to.

We even talk for hours over the phone.

I'm at college right now, going to attend my last class for the day and then head to the hospital for my shift.

My phone starts to buzz. It's him, he's calling me. I answer the phone.

Anna I'm waiting for you outside can you come out?.

Yeah, I'll be there in a minute. I stroll down the long hallway and exit the building. I walk over to him at the car park. Hey there, I greet him.

Mia there's something important I want to tell you but not here, will you come with me?.

Okay. I say as I shrug my shoulders.He grabs my hand and opens the car door for me, he helps me get in and closes the door. He then gets in and takes off. He looks quiet nervous.

what is he up to, I wonder.

We stop at a park. We get off and hold hands as we walk.

Anna the reason why I had called you is because I have something important to say to you and I can't seem to hold it any longer.

What is it, that you want to tell me Mason?.

Anna, I'm in love with you, I love you Anna from the first day that I met you. Mason confesses.

I love you to Mason. I say as I gaze into his eyes. I'm so happy you feel the same way Anna. I was afraid of telling you what if you don't feel the same way about me. He states.

He pulls me closer to him. My face is only an inch away from his. He holds my face gently and claims my lips. We pull out to catch our breaths. That was my first kiss. I notify him.

I know that Anna and I'm glad to be the first person to kiss you and hopefully the last. Anna I wish to spend the rest of my life with you.

I would like that too. You make me happy Mason. So do your parents know about us Anna?. Well my mom knows about you as for my dad he doesn't care what goes on in my life.

My phone rings. I glance at the caller ID it's mom. Mason would you please excuse me, I need to take this call, it's my mom.

Sure, go ahead. I'll wait for you in car.

HI mom. I greet her but she doesn't, she gets straight to the point.

Anna could you please come home now. We just arrived an hour ago.

Alright, I'll be there shortly. My mom cuts the call before I could say anything else. What's up with her, she seems angry.

I jump into Mason's car. Could you please take me home, my family has arrived from their vacation.

Yea. He answers. Is everything okay Anna, you seem a little worried.

I don't know but my mom sounded upset when she had spoken to me. I hope nothing happened.

Twenty minutes later Mason drops me at my home.

I'll see you tomorrow then Anna, if not later that's if you're not busy.

alright see you later then mason. as I'm about to open the door, he grabs my arm gently. Are you not going to kiss me goodbye Anna.

of course. we kiss and he then takes off. I never notice my mom was standing at the doorway with her arms folded and staring my way. I hope she hasn't seen us kissing, that will be awkward. How long have you been standing there mom?.

From the time you came. Are you not going hug your mother after such a long time.

sorry mom I say to her as I hug her. I've missed you Anna. I missed you too mom.

it doesn't seem like it, now that you have a boyfriend. I see you two are pretty close that you have forgotten all about me, you hardly ever called me Anna.

I didn't want to disturb you mom and also I was quiet busy at the hospital as well as college and also now Mason. I hardly had anytime for myself.

I'm messing with you Anna. I'm glad to finally see you happy. So how was your trip and where is everyone?. I ask.

she doesn't answer my question. she seems to be in a daze. I touch her shoulder. Mom what's wrong?.

she quickly regains her composure and stares at me. Sorry what was that Anna?.

Mom, you seem distant after you got back. is there something going on that you're not telling me?. I ask worriedly.

Anna, I had called you because your father wants to see you urgently at his office.

oh alright. I mumble. I wonder what he wants to see me for. I walk up to his office which is on the third floor of our home. my mom is with me, I've asked her to come cause I don't want to be alone with that man.

My mom opens the door and goes inside, with me following behind. my father isn't here in his office.

It's the first time that I've come to his office. the room is huge, it even has a balcony. Me and mom take a seat on the chairs that's in front of the huge desk. the door opens and he strides in with some files in his hand.

He places the files onto his desk and sits on his chair. He glances at mom and nods at her. He then looks directly at me and begins to speak.

Ariana, the reason why I had called you is to tell you something very important. I understand it's soon but I have no other choice than to do this.

What are you talking about?.

A week later. My family had arrived from their trip today but only my mom and dad arrived. My seemed upset when she came. Apparently, Tyler and Jessica are still on a vacation. They had refused to come home.
