CHAPTER 28 ARIANA'S POV

What do you mean you can't do it?.

Kane, I'm just an ordinary human, I can't even defend myself I'm weak.

"I think you should perhaps find yourself another Luna".

It's too late for that, as you already know that "I've marked you, there's no going back now. You're mine for eternity".

Ariana, you're not weak, I'm certain of that. I don't care if you are human or not, I still love you and want to be with you only.

Ariana, I know that you would make a great luna, you have all the good qualities instilled in you.

Thank you for believing in me, that's truly sweet of you kane.

Anything for you. Now go to sleep, you look exhausted.

Are you going to leave as soon as I doze off?.

No, I'm going to stay right here with you. He says as he pats the bed next to me.

He settles down next to me and holds my waist.

Kane, what exactly is going on between you and Andrew? Why is he so hell bent on destroying you?.

He sighs and then begins to speak.

Like I've already told you he killed my first mate but I don't have the prove that he killed her.

I assumed you were there with her when Andrew had murederd her?. I ask him.

No I wasn't there when it happened, the day she was killed our pack was ambushed by rogues. He exclaims.

What are rogues?.

Rogues are wolves that doesn't live in a pack, they were either ousted from their pack or left on their own will, it's becouse they either don't like their pack or their alpha. Once a wolf goes rogue, they become feral. A rogue is easy to sniff out cause they have a bad odour radiating from their bodies.

Whilst I was fighting off the rogues with my warriors, Melissa my first mate was chasing after a rogue into the forest. She was an excellent fighter, she was born a warrior. I never bothered when she went after the rogue, cause I very well knew that she could protect herself and finish off the rogue within a second.

When Melissa was brutally murdered I never feel it in the mate bond, which was quiet odd and my wolf never spoke to me for a year or so.

Adrian then mindlinked me saying that Andrew plunged a sliver dagger into melisa, Adrian wasn't able to help becouse the rogues had him restrained.

When I got there my mate was in a pool of blood and Adrian was laying unconscious.

I couldn't go after Andrew, I had no solid prove to the council that he was the one that murdered my mate.

we can't just go around killing other werewolves for no reason but since andrew isn't apart of a pack I can now kill him.

I took Andrew's pack away from him and banished him, so that no pack would ever accept him.

Where did I fit in all of this?.

Well when I first saw a picture of you something drew me closer to you, I then decided to make you mine. The day of the wedding I found out, you were my second chance mate. There was also another reason why I wanted to marry you.

What was the reason?. I ask.

I wanted to make you pay for what Andrew did to my mate.

Oh. I mumble.

But don't worry after seeing the type of person you are and what Andrew had done to you, I changed my mind about wanting to hurt you.

You were already going through so much more, my wolf and I couldn't bare to see you in anymore pain.

Kane?. I call out softly.

Yeah. He answers.

I'm sorry for whatever Andrew had done to you. I say as I turn around to face him.

I never knew he was such a monster.

Ariana, you don't have to be sorry, it's not your fault non of it is. He caresses my face and gazes into my eyes.

Now go to sleep, that's enough talking for today. He pecks my lips and gently pulls me closer to him. We both eventually fall asleep.

The next morning.

I'm finally going home, kane seems to be more excited than me.

What are you so happy about?.

You're finally coming home, where you belong.

I'm taking you to the pack house, it's much safer for you and Amanda.

I've already informed the pack about you, so there's no need for you to worry or be afraid.

Are you sure they won't have a problem with me?.

Yes, I'm definitely sure about that. Don't stress they will most certainly adore you. Kane assures me.

Okay. I mumble.

we drive up a winding road, from afar I spot the enormous pack house. I see two large gates as we get closer, there's a couple of guards that are guarding at the gate.

As soon as they seen kane, they bow their heads.

They open the gates and lets us through. I then notice there's two story cabins surrounded everywhere.

Kane drives up the long driveway and parks the car. He jumps out and pulls out the wheel chair from the trunk and comes to my side to help me get off.

He carries me gently and places me onto the wheel chair.

Thank you. I murmur.

He nods in response and pushes the wheel chair away from the vehicle.

He stops at the front of the pack house.

It's beautiful. I say to him.

I then suddenly notice were aren't alone, his pack members stare at me in amazement.

Some of them wave and smile at me.

Kane pushes the wheel chair into the house.

I gasp at the beauty of the house. As soon as I enter I notice the huge crystal chandelier dangling from the ceiling. My eyes then travels all over the place.

There's two winding stairs at either sides. The floor is marble and has a huge flower design on it. The walls are painted in a dazzling white color. Straight ahead of me is the kitchen and the room that's on my left is the living room and the one on my right is the dinning room.

This place is enormous, how many floors does it have?.

Five, There's six bedrooms on each floor.

kane says.

Wow and how many people live here?.

Its just us, my beta and the rest of the unmated wolves.

What's a beta?. I ask.

A beta is my second in command, if I'm not around he will take charge of the pack and make decisions.

Which floor is yours?.

I live on the last floor. He answers.

Come let's take you there. Kane carries me up all the way to the last floor since there isn't a lift in here.

He opens the door with one hand and pushes it open with his leg.

The bedroom is huge, the first thing I see is the huge four poster bed with black bed curtains tied at the sides.

There's also a balcony and a door on the other side is the bathroom.

Kane places me onto the bed. I'll be back shortly, I'm going to get you something to eat.

I nod at him. He leaves the room and closes the door behind him.

I grab the TV remote and switch on the TV.

A moment later kane walks in with a tray of food in his hands, he places it on the bed.

He then begins to feed me.

The food is really delicious. I say to him.

All thanks to Maya, the head cook.

I guess I need to meet her and compliment her on the delicious food.

Couple hours later. Kane had left me to get some sleep whilst he gets some work of his done.

I wake up to a dark room, I switch on the bedside lamp and check the time. It's one in the morning and kane hasn't arrived as yet.

I start to get worried about him.

just then the room door burst open, kane is standing at the doorway drenched in blood.
