CHAPTER 21 ARIANA'S POV

I hadn't had a wink of sleep thinking about kane. He wants me to give him a chance, I'm not sure what to do.

I still love Mason, I don't want to leave him either. He was always there whenever I needed him.

Apart from me wants to be with kane and the other half doesn't trust him.

I don't mind being a mother to Amanda, she's a great kid and I truly adore her.

I take a glimpse at the time on the wall it reads 6 am. I need to take a shower and get ready before kane gets here and I also need to meet with Mason, he hasn't been answering any of my calls lately I wonder what's going on with him.

After I'm done showering, I change into a Jean short and a tank top. I leave my hair down. . I head downstairs to prepare breakfast for Amanda.

I'm making some scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. I lay the table and go upstairs to wake up Amanda.

We both are having breakfast when kane steps in and joins us at the table.

Where did you go last night?. I ask him.

He perks up at me. I had to meet someone important. He answers.

Oh. I mumble. presumably a woman. I think to myself.

As I get up from the table I notice from the corner of my eye how Kane's eyes travel up and down my body.

Ariana, would you go out on a date with me tonight?. he asks all of a sudden.

Say yes mommy. Amanda says cheerfully.

I shrug my shoulders, yeah sure. I answer.

What about Amanda?.

I'll send her to my cousin's place to stay for the night.

I nod in response.

KANE'S POV

The real reason why I asked Arianna to go out with me tonight is becouse I want her to see Mason with his mate.

Adrian had planned out everything with mason's mate.

The bond between him and his mate is broken. Once you reject your mate, there isn't any mate bond, it's over.

I've got my witch to do something about Mason to acknowledge his ex mate.

The potion that she had given me to give to Mason will bring back the mate bond but it won't last long, it will only last a week. So while he's under the influence of magic I need to mark and claim Ariana as soon possible before he gets in the way again.

After she's marked Mason would never take a chance coming anywhere near her cause she will be mine completely.

I brought her to one of the restaurants that are situated just outside of my pack.

Adrian notified me that Mason and his mate will be arriving soon.

I can't wait to get this over and done with. I want her all to myself.

As we are ordering our food, Mason steps in with his ex mate clinging on to him.

He hasn't seen us yet.

I take a glimpse of them, the both of them kiss and hold each other. Arianna glances at me. Kane?. She calls out softly. I focus my attention on her.

What are you looking at?. She questions.

Nothing important. I state. She turns around to see what I've been staring at.

She slams her tiny fist onto the table and unexpectedly wakes up, she takes slow strides towards Mason.

Ariana, where are you going?.

I'll be back shortly. she answers.

ARIANA'S POV

I'm pissed and furious with Mason, he deceived me. He lied to me about everything, he played me for a fool. How could he!.

Mason. I yell. Everyone in the restaurant leaves what they're doing and watches me.

Anna, what are you doing here?.

I could ask you the same thing?. Who is she?.

She's my girlfriend. He says without hesitating.

Then what am I?.

Anna, I wanted to tell you this but I didn't want to hurt you. I'm sorry but we're done!. He exclaims.

He's got the nerve to say that after lying to me about loving me.

Whatever I say and slap him across his face.

He looks at me stunned, he most certainly wasn't expecting that.

How dare you?. His girlfriend shouts.

Clair, it's fine to let her go. Mason says to his girlfriend.

I glare at the two of them and take off. I stand outside of the hotel and stare into space.

Wasn't I supposed to be sobbing?. I ask myself. , I haven't shed a single tear seeing Mason kiss another woman. I don't even feel sad for him cheating on me.

What is happening to me?.

Ariana?. Kane's voice snaps me out of my thoughts.

He touches my arm. I'm sorry for what happened in there.

You don't need to be sorry, It isn't your fault.

I gaze into his beautiful icey blue eyes and get lost in them. Is kane the reason why I'm not sad about Mason cheating on me?

KANE'S POV

The plan went according to how we had planned it.

I noticed Arriana hasn't cried when she saw Mason kissing his mate but she was furious for being fooled.

She gazes into my eyes, I cup her face and brush my lips with hers. The buzzing of my phone startles us.

I pull away from her, I need to take this I'll be right back.

She nods.

Nicole, what do you want?.

Where the hell are you kane?. She shouts over the phone.

I told you I'm visiting a pack that needs my help regarding the rogues.

Tell me the name of the pack and I'll meet you there in the morning. she says.

Listen I have to go, I'll talk to you later. I immediately hang up and switch my phone off.

Sorry about that, it was an annoying client. I apologize to Ariana.

It's okay. She murmurs.

ARIANA'S POV

were on our way home now. Kane hasn't said a word since we got into the car.

He wanted us to spend some time together but look what happened. I ruined the night because of Mason.

We've reached home now, I get off and enter the house with kane following right behind me.

Kane yanks me towards him, He holds me by my waist and gazes into my eyes.

He unexpectedly claims my lips, I wrap my hands around his neck and press our bodies together. Kane deepens the kiss, pushing my lips apart with his tongue and exploring the inside of my mouth.

He pushes me against the wall and pins my hands above my head, he then starts to nibble on my neck gently. This time he kisses me harder. we both pull out and stare at each another for a moment.

I love you, Ariana. He confesses.
