The Witch

In the forest…

Malcom and Skyler looked in all directions. The hanged men were all still piled up.

Despite not seeing any signs of movement, the mages were sure the attack would begin any minute.

"I can eliminate them all in one go," Skyler said with a frown. Yet, a part of her knew that it was easier said than done.

The young woman stared at how the men and women who hung from the ropes were twisted by pain.

She looked at them with a complicated expression. A part of her was confused as well as suspicious.

In all honestly, she did not understand how those spirits could feel any pain. Was that just their imagination? Or was it just all an act?

Yet, before Skyler could think further, some hanged men that were still tied up by the ropes suddenly pounced on her.

She stepped forward a bit and created two powerful orange flares, and she yelled, "Twin Suns!"
