I yawn as I observe the castle grounds. This place is smaller than the grounds where Calais and I practiced before. Are they expecting the participants to have insignificant magic? Did they, perhaps, forget about me?
I yawn again. It's been two days since that visit from Calais and his offer to elope. For the next few days, I stayed at the library to look for more information.
"Good morning," Eliana greets me. She is charming, as usual.
"Good morning," I greet, nodding at her. I can't possibly force a smile for her after that fight with Calais.
"Lyrica!" Cornelius appears and waves at me with a smile on his face. He sits in his allotted seat, a few meters away from me. I grimace as an instinct and Eliana grins.
"You don't like the prince," she comments.
I turn my attention to her. "And you like that perverted prince?"
