Another Mate Bond

Ava was silent for a while after hearing Lia request, then she asked"Why would you want to do that?"

"I have noticed that Logan doesn't really like me so I thought if i could maybe help with the cooking then he might change his mind" Lia said softly.

After listening to Lia reply, Ava relaxed and said "If that is the case then you can make him dinner"

"Thank you Ava"

"No need to thank me after all I would like for my first friend and my husband to get along." Ava replied.

Lia was in the kitchen preparing Logan meal after getting Ava permission.

"It smells so nice, I never knew you could cook." Ava said excitedly as she came into the kitchen.

"It's great you are here, can you help me to slice the onions." Lia asked.

"Yes." Ava took the knife and as she was slicing the onions, she injured herself.

"Ava are you alright" Lia saw the wound on Ava finger and quickly took her hands to the sink to wash the blood away.

Ava felt warm as she saw Lia being very frantic about her well being, infact she no longer felt the pain in her wound anymore.

Lia looked at Ava sternly and said "You should go and get some rest, I don't want to see you in the kitchen anymore."

Even though Ava was droven away from the kitchen, a smile was still on her face because she felt that Lia truly cares for her.

After Ava left the kitchen, Lia stared at the knife that had Ava blood on it, she took the knife and used it to cut herself and then, she took the knife to the pot and said "Sanguis" then all the blood that was in the knife flowed into the pot. Lia gave a malicious smile when she saw the process was complete.

Logan came home and was about to go his room when he heard Lia saying "Won't you have dinner?"

Logan glance at Lia coldly and said "I am not hungry"

When Lia saw that Logan was about to go to his room without eating the food she made, Lia quickly blurted out "Ava made it." When Lia saw that Logan halted his steps, she continued "After spending so long in the kitchen cooking for you, she was exhausted and immediately went to sleep"

After hearing the effort Ava made to prepare a meal for him, Logan heart softened and he went to the dinning table and saw that the food has already been served. Logan looked at the food and then at Lia and for some reason he felt uncomfortable.

He decided to ignored that feeling. He looked up at Lia who has been staring at him and said "You don't have to watch me eat, you can leave"

Lia felt a sting of disappointment, at the thought of Logan not wanting to see her. She was sure Logan would eat her food, so she left thinking of her future with Logan.

Logan looked at the food placed before him and he gave a soft smile at the thought of Ava cooking for him. After a few minutes, Logan felt satisfied with his meal and went upstairs to see his loving wife. When he step into the room, Ava was already asleep. He walked quietly to the bed and laid beside Ava.

'She looks peaceful in her sleep' Logan thought. He gave Ava a peck on her forehead and watched her as she sleeps until he fell asleep.

The next morning, Ava woke up and saw Logan sleeping beside her, she smiled and was very grateful for her godmother asking her to marry him, even though at that time it was for revenge, but now she has promised herself that she would never harm Logan intentionally. There are times she was scared of Logan finding out the truth about the reason she wanted to marry him in the past. She was scared that Logan would get angry and leave her. Even though it has been a month, Ava could not imagine her future without this man beside her.

Ava just wanted to give him a peck on his lips but when her lips touched his, Ava felt a hand around her waist and the man who was supposed to be sleeping was kissing her aggressively. Ava moan when his aggressive kiss slowly turns into a soft and passionate one.

After kissing her to his satisfaction, Logan said "Good morning my beautiful wife"

"You lied to me, I thought you were sleeping" Ava angrily said as she was still feeling hot from the kiss.

"But I never told you I was sleeping so how could you be so cruel and accuse your husband of lying. But then again I wouldn't mind waking up every morning with your lips on mine." Logan huskily said.

Ava angrily got up from the bed and use a pillow to hit Logan as she said "You are so shameless."

Logan caught the pillow in his hands and gave a light laugh as he watched Ava leaving the room. But as soon as Ava left the room he eyes became so cold, infact there was no sign of the man who has just joked and talked to his wife lovingly.

"Do you feel that Max?" Logan asked his wolf.

"Yes, I feel another mate bond, but from who?" Max asked confusedly but Logan only gave cold smile to Max question.

After leaving Logan in the room, Ava went to Lia room and knocked on the door. She smiled when Lia opened the door.

"How was your dinner with Logan?" Ava asked.

Lia gave a shy smile to Ava and said "It was fine. Logan loved the food I made"

Ava stared at Lia quietly for some time and finally said coldly"You don't have feelings for Logan, right?"

Lia was cut off guard by Ava question and she shudder when she saw the coldness in Ava eyes, but the truth that Ava was just an ordinary human and could not stand against her made Lia to compose herself and said "No, I don't"

Ava gave a soft smile to Lia and the coldness in her eyes disappear as she said softly "It's better you don't, Logan is my husband and I won't let anyone separate us. I have really come to see you as a friend and that is why if you betray me, what I will do to you will be nothing compare to what I did to Thea"

Even though Ava spoke to her softly, Lia felt a fear she has never felt for anyone else but her mother. Right at this moment Lia remembered her mother words. 'Do not underestimate Ava, she may seem nice and soft but I know she is even more dangerous than that crazy Queen Rosaline.'

As Lia looked at Ava she wondered if her mother was right, she asked herself 'how can a human with no supernatural powers be dangerous? it's not possible, even though she may seem mighty, she is nothing compared to me who is a witch'. Coming to that conclusion Lia looked at Ava in the eyes and asked "Are you threatening me?"

"No, I am warning you. I wouldn't want our friendship to break, so I just wanted to make sure you don't cross the line. Come down for breakfast." Ava said and left Lia room without looking back.
