Chapter 83: Loyalists

My body feels heavy and so does my head; the level of exhaustion is beyond what I had ever experienced, but as soon as we walk into our room, I pull Ro’s shirt up and off his body to examine his injury.
Alpha Robson managed to transform but not completely from what I was able to see, and his claws tore his clothes and left a wide cut in his back. I feel horrible for putting him through this and I rush to the bathroom clumsily to soak a towel and come back to clean his wound.
He sighs and sits, not moving as I slowly clean it; I can see he already started healing, and that speed, it would be fully new by the hour, but I couldn’t stand there without doing anything.
The events that unfolded were too much to process for me, and still are, as I feel my eyes blurry. Ro’s arms wrap around me and he tugs me away from his back. “You are exhausted. You need rest.”
I shake my head and frown. “If I blink, something else might happen.”
