Ch 2: School

In a dark alley way police officers can be seen. For inhabitants of this planet, they would look similar to the armed forces, with their deep blue color outfit, but they were less geared up. The alley they were in was a mess. There is scorch marks on the walls, a destroyed dumpster, and two bodies with burn marks on them. The people were still alive thanks to an officer in white.

"So do you have any information?" an officer said to the white one.

"Well, they are human traffickers based off what I got from the database. New ones at that, which helps my theory," the white outfitted officer says as she gets up from healing their bodies.

"Well then what is your theory?" the officer says

"They were kidnapping someone when another person attacked them. It was one person based off of how all the wounds was the result of fire. They attacked close to here," She says pointing at a spot close to the exit of the alley.

"Can you just get to the point."

"In order to take out two tier eight people in one attack someone would have to be at least tier seven,"

"So since we know what type of person did this and the fact that these people are criminals can we just wrap this up." The officer slowly starts to inch toward his car.

"Yep, we can leave, but we still have to get these people experience once they wake up at the station."

Rez opened his eyes as he slowly starts to realize he is home.

'Was all that real?' Rez thought as he slowly got off the floor.

"Status"

'I guess it is real huh .... Wait today is the start of school!'

Quickly setting aside the wonders of his system, Rez quickly got ready by showering.

"Woah," Rez looked at himself in the mirror. "Whatever that evolving thing the system talked about is probably the cause of this."

Rez had black hair, dark brown eyes, and light brown skin on his well built body. Now he had dark amber gold like eyes, his muscles were more defined, and there was a strip of red in his hair now.

"Wow, I look cool."

After dressing and having breakfast, Rez quickly ran to the teleporters transit station.

There he saw a woman in a crimson red outfit similar to the outfit of the military.

This is because all people that works for this planet's government wears the same outfit with the only difference being the color and certain modifications to the profession.

Rez instantly knew that she was the guide as she was followed by people his age.

Not much happened during the way to school. The guide called names and if someone wasn't there the she would talk into a walkie talkie. After she finished calling names, she told everyone to wait a bit. 5 minutes later more children came followed closely by people in blue outfits signaling them as police. After that they had everyone enter a cyan teleporter.

Rez opened his eyes wide in amazement at the school building far into the distance. The School Ground was enormous. There were 5 buildings set up in the form of a star with a large park in the middle of this star.

The woman with the crimson red outfit then lead to a clearing that had more students along with people that was also wearing crimson outfits.

More people in crimson outfits soon appeared with students in tow, adding them to the crowd of students.

After all the new students were assembled, a man walked up to the stage nearby. He had silvery gray hair, black eyes, and was wearing a black suit.

"hello, I am Declan your principal. I would like to welcome the first years of our school." After saying unimportant things he asked for the students to split up into boys and girls.

After the first years split up, a man with blonde hair and blue eyes guided the boys towards their dorms. After everyone was shown to their room and giving time to organize themselves, a woman knocked on their doors and showed them around the school.

The following days, Rez was shown his homeroom and was introduced to his teacher.

Over the couple of days he was taught review by his teacher.

"There are five planets that humans have inhabited that is completely safe for humans with only up to tier 6 beast being the strongest threats there. They are each owned separately by the most powerful groups in our world. The group that oversees our planet, Seagard, is the Seagard group." The teacher pauses before continuing.

"Other than Gaia, who oversees Earth and is neutral, all other groups can be considered rivals to gain ownership of the planets currently discovered."

"I won't be telling all the reasons why, as you will be taught in depth during cultivation class, but one of the important reasons is for the metals found on the planets."

Rez, bored from the teacher constant talking, began to converse with Silv. Over the past days in homeroom, Rez has constantly been sent to sleep by the teacher, so he started to talk to the person that sat on his right as a way to stay awake. They made acquaintances and would talk about topics that centered around the teacher's topic.

Silv has dark navy blue hair with two large light blue streaks in it. She gives off a cheerful scholarly vibe around her, but for Rez that doesn't make her feel unapproachable.

"I remember.... the two groups that are not currently fighting with Seagard. Which is Nysterwik and Wyrm. What was the other one?"

Silv looks up from the book she is reading, revealing her black eyes.

"Oh, it's Hairn. They are fighting Seagard over the newly discovered habitable planet."

"Oh, I thought it started with a F."

"Ummm, have you looked at the architectural design on the planets? My favorite is Hairn with there rural landscape. Its similar to the old west in the United States of America during their gold rush, but in a more modern way."

(don't forget they have better technology then what we have so think of it as a futuristic spin on the style)

"My favorite is between Nysterwik and Wyrm. I can't really decide between Nyster's aquatic theme with there mostly oceanic planet or Wyrm's modern(so kind of futuristic) medieval type of theme."

At that moment the teacher called on Rez.

"Rezkra can you say what type of metals the groups are fighting for and their properties."

Rez, not missing a beat, answers.

"Well, there are three types of metals. Artu iron, which is the most common, is a metal that when made into armor or a weapon can block and cut into almost any beast when paired with a strong enough ability user. Then there's diam which is a stronger version of artu and also the rarest of the three metals. So if someone can barely defeat a beast ending up on the brink of death with artu, then they will easily be able to cleave the beast in half while not taking any damage with diam. The last metal is .... uhh...."

Rez took a long pause and after a couple of seconds the teacher called on Silv.

"It's star metal which is most of the major groups favorite metal. It is not as strong as artu and diam, in fact it can easily be bent kind of like a fabric, but tougher. When star metal is melted down and woven with some beast material and given some energy from a beast core it will give whoever wears it some of the beast's properties."

"Great job Silv, now...."

At that moment the bell rung

"Homeroom is done now so tomorrow go to the grand battle room to start combat class."

Rez stood up and stretched before walking out to the park in the middle of the school.

After taking a seat in front of a stream that is connected to a small waterfall, Rez started to smile. He was excited for combat training class as it will give him a new way to find out how to gain more stat points.

'I wonder if I am the strongest freshman here?'

He thought back on the fight he had in the alleyway.

'I should be able to easily take out people that are at least tier 9 without feeling drain, so I would have to be at least tier 7.'

With that another day went by in Rez's new life.
