Chapter One

January 01

"You cannot go, you haven't even completed your training." Pause. This is Higa Sensei, he's a professor of mine. He teaches weapon combat skills along with secret arts, his classes are always interesting and enjoyable. Higa Sensei came to First Academy the year I transferred here. He's helped me out a lot over the years and though those times we've created a bond close to that of a father and daughter. He's become my favorite teacher and the only one I shall miss when I depart. Resume.

"Please I need all my professors to approve or I can't go." I pleaded looking into his brown almond eyes.

"I already told you no, you must finish your training and besides that I don't think you're ready."

"Please this could be a good experience, I could develop more skills, gain more knowledge, obtain connections, and who knows I could even become stronger than Jack. Plus I've always been at the top of your classes so what do you say Sensei can I go?" I tried to list reasons I know matter to him in a last attempt to change his mind.

We stand in silence as I watch him waver and slowly cave into my quiet begging.

He takes a deep breath. "Fine but you must come back safely and alive not to mention stronger, much stronger. You must write to me and updated on your progress along with your experiences and everything you learn as you travel."

"I'll write you every two weeks I promise." I give him a hug then walk away smiling. I can hear him mumbling to himself contemplating if agreeing was really the right thing to do. I chuckle as I continue towards my room. He was the last professor on my list.
