Negotiations with Alvin

Dania's steps were stopped when she saw Alvin's car in the car park of her apartment. The man is here. Without thinking, Dania returned to her car and rushed out of the parking area. Alvin would be suspicious if he found her out of the apartment in the morning. Until now, Dania has no intention of activating her cellphone. She rushed to Clara's apartment.

"The man was terrible. I can't imagine if I'll be his wife later," Dania complained to Clara who was dressed up. It didn't take long to get to the woman's apartment. The road is pretty smooth.

"I don't care if that guy is possessive of you. The important thing is that he doesn't hurt you, that's enough." Clara spoke while putting on mascara.

"I'm not sure." Dania took one of Clara's outfits. Luckily she has the same posture as Clara. In an emergency, she can borrow Clara's clothes.

"So, what were you doing last night at Alex's apartment?" Clara asked with a mischievous look. "Have you been made to tremble with him?"

For Clara and Viona talking about their sex lives may be normal. However, for Dania, it is still uncomfortable and taboo. After all, this is her first experience. Even though she didn't make love, Dania admits that Alex's touch on her was memorable and enjoyable. The dopamine is overflowing. Clara widened her eyes and immediately turned around to face Dania. "So he's that great? I swear, I'm really curious."

Clara waved her hand. "He won't know I'm playing behind his back if you keep your mouth shut." She turned back to face the mirror and started to put on her bright red lipstick. When it comes to make-up, Clara is indeed quite brave. She likes to go everywhere with heavy makeup, even if it's not insignificant.

"Do you love Alian or not? Before you think about anything, it's better if you break up with Alian first." Dania threw the blouse she had taken off and replaced it with Clara's blouse.

"I can't possibly break up with Alian. He might kill himself." Clara sprayed her expensive perfume.

"So, that's why you still stick with Alian? It's sad," Dania sneered. She opted for a khaki below-the-knee skirt.

Clara shrugged. "Maybe. But not really. I'm serious with him. Our bond is quite strong. It's hard to let go."

Dania chuckles. "Even though you both love each other. It's better if you don't mess around. Your path is straight, you don't have to think about turning. Just Viona. But I'm sure she'll end her adventure soon after she finds the right person." Dania sighed. "It seems happy if we can marry someone because of love." She then faced the mirror and fixed the ribbon on the collar of the blouse she was wearing.

"Alvin will make you fall in love with him later." Clara smiled. "Your story must have a beautiful ending."

They went to the office in Clara's car. Dania is lazy to drive, also for practical reasons. They met Viona in the parking lot. The woman gets out of a man's car. Not the boss, who is that man?

"Are you crazy?! Why did you get out of the car man? Aren't you afraid your boss will find out?" Dania shouted when Viona joined them.

"I met him at the club. And do you know who he is?" Viona smiled as she looked at her two best friends with sparkling eyes.

"His face was familiar. He's—" Clara covered her gaping mouth. "Derrick, is that him?"

Dania's brow furrowed. Derrick Mananta? If that's the case, Dania also knows. Derrick Mananta, the head of the subsidiary where Dania works. If Dania is in the Branch. Then Derrick in the subsidiary.

"How did you get a guy as calm as him?" Clara shook Viona's shoulder.

"He's not as calm as he looks, Honey." Viona turned around, followed by Dania and Clara. They walked together towards the elevator.

Dania just activated her cell phone when she got to her desk. As she expected, an incoming call from Alvin dominated her cellphone screen notification. Not to mention the messages the man sent.

Just a few minutes her cellphone was active, a call from Alvin came in. Dania sighed, before sliding the phone screen.

"I immediately called as soon as I knew the message had been sent," said Alvin on the other end after replying to Dania's greeting. "Where have you been, Honey? Your phone is off."

"Sorry, I left my cell phone at work and the battery ran out." Dania gave a reasonable excuse.

"I went to the apartment, but you weren't there," said Alvin.

"Yes, I'm staying at Clara's apartment. I want to go home too sleepy," explained Dania turning on the monitor.

"Next time, tell me. So, I didn't have a hard time looking for you." There was no angry tone, but still, Dania didn't like Alvin's attitude that seemed restrained.

"You don't need to be like that. There are times when I also want to be alone and with my friends. Let me free before you tie me up. Didn't you give yourself that time?"

Dania heard Alvin's breath on the other end. "Okay, I'll let you go. But at least pick up my phone."

"I'll pick up the phone if you don't do it every hour."

"Okay, every two hours," Alvin offered.

"One time 24 hours. Nothing more," said Dania. She didn't want Alvin to drive her even though she was the man's future wife.

"Gosh, that's too little. No, I can't."

"Then don't bother me at all."

Alvin sighed again. "Three times a day. That sounds fairer."

"Okay. Then I'll close first. I have to work." Dania didn't want to prolong the conversation.

Dania exhaled hopefully today nothing happened that made her annoyed because of Alvin's actions. Just as she was about to work on the report, a call from Alex came in. Unlike when she received a call from Alvin, this time Dania seemed enthusiastic about receiving it. She even turned on Bluetooth to make the conversations easier while working.

"Hi," said Dania with a smile. This must look disgusting, just receiving a call can make her blush like this.

"Hi, have you arrived at the office?" Alex asked on the other end.

It was the first time that Dania had heard Alex's voice through the cell phone line. The man's voice was soft. Very in tune with his handsome face.

"Yeah, I'm here. I was at Clara's apartment."

"Aren't you going back to your apartment?"

"I turned around because I saw Alvin's car was there."

"Yes, that guy must be looking for you. But are you okay?"

This is a trivial question, but it makes Dania happy.

"I'm fine, Martin. Oh yeah, what are you doing now?" Dania asked silently for a moment.

"Call you."

Alex's answer again created a smile on Dania's lips. "That's clear, Martin. Apart from that?"

"I'm getting ready to go review preparations for the grand opening of my new club tonight. I invite you, Dania. can you come?"

Dania's smile grew wider. "I will come."
