Chapter 23

"I'm ready to go on our date!" She smiled.

Zayon grinned back. "Before we go, I have a surprise for you."

Nya's eyes twinkled as he pulled out a pearl bracelet - not an expensive and flashy one, but a loving and homemade one.

"Oh my God..." Nya said in awe. "It's...it's beautiful!"

Zayon's grin got wider once he heard that. "Thank you so much, baby. I made it myself."

"Oh, wow!" Nya smiled. "That reminds me of when I got homemade bracelets from Bl-"

Nya then suddenly stopped herself. She knew that Zayon didn't like when she talked about Blake, so she decided that she would try her best not to mention him, even though she didn't understand why Zayon took such a disliking for Blake.

"Let's go now, it's 7:47." Zayon suggested.

Nya nodded as Zayon took her hand - the one that wasn't grabbing onto a designer purse and they both walked out of the mansion.

Zayon was so smiley and giddy, so he forgot about a very important thing. He and Nya hopped in the car and started to drive on the way to a beautiful date.

Nya gazed at the breath-taking and luxurious restaurant. It looked like a complete masterpiece. It had mesmerizing and bright chandeliers and candles, making the place very likely to catch fire, but very beautiful as well. The restaurant had something about it - maybe it was the fine fragrance of pumpkin spice and vanilla to fit the theme of Autumn nearing, or maybe it was the soft, romantic jazz that was playing in the background. Nya looked to her left and did a tiny smile when she saw some men in pink tuxedos slowly rocking left to right while playing their instruments. Perhaps it was the dimmed orange lights setting the mood for a loving kiss. But whatever it was, it was attracting Nya. She looked up at Zayon and beamed to which he grinned back.

"Oh wow, Zayon, you must've spent a lot to take me to this restaurant."

"More than $20,000 dollars." Zayon grinned. "Just for you."

"Aw, thank you so much, you're literally the sweetest." Nya smiled sweetly at Zayon, making his heart beat faster and faster by the second. But he was annoyed at the fact that she kept switching who was the sweetest and who wasn't. Couldn't she just make up her mind?

A waiter came to take their order.

"What would you like to order, sir and ma'am?" He asked politely.

"Umm..." Nya took a quick glance at her menu to see her options. She didn't want to trouble the waiter by making him wait, so she just took the first meal she saw on the menu. Nya looked back up at the waiter and smiled her best smile.

"Steak and the wine... Chateau Julien French Kiss 2013, please."

"Amazing choice. And you, sir?"

"The same thing she's having," Zayon flashed Nya a smile and she smiled back.

"Alright," The waiter said. "The total is $165.80. Think you can do it?"

"Of course," Zayon grinned. He wanted to tell the waiter that he wasn't a poor man, but stopped himself.

The waiter smiled. "Okay, I'll go get your food."

"Thank you!" Nya beamed.

The waiter walked off to get the couple their food while they waited for it. Suddenly, Zayon remembered the thing he should've remembered earlier.

"Oh, shit, the kids!"

Reika lurked around the huge mansion, trying to find an opening. She had opened a window when she first visited so she could climb in from that window when she planned to break in, but it seemed as if she was getting lost in this huge setting because she obviously could not find the window she had opened.

𝘜𝘨𝘩, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘰𝘸? She thought, annoyed. 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦'𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.

She ran to the entrance of the mansion and pressed on the doorbell.

𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘨!

Reika couldn't hear anything at first, but a few minutes later, she heard a small voice coming from inside the home.

"Who's there?" The voice asked bravely.

Reika thought for a bit, then finally came up to an answer. "It's your babysitter!"

After a few seconds, the door creaked open, just a tiny bit. Reika smiled greatly.

"Hi, I'm your babysitter!" She introduced. "Can I come in?"

A small girl with pale skin and hair blacker than the blackest black looked up at Reika. "Um... okay."

She opened the door fully and Reika stepped inside the house, feeling fulfilled already, even though she hadn't gotten what she wanted. She was so ready to sabotage Zayon and Nya's relationship because Reika loved Zayon.

"So what's your name?"

"My name is Raegan." The small girl, supposedly Raegan muttered.

"What? I couldn't hear that." Reika moved her ear closer to Raegan's face so she could pick up what Raegan was trying to say.

"My name is Raegan!" Raegan yelled into the ear presented in front of her.

"Lord almighty!" Reika screamed in shock. She started to rub the inside of her ear with her index finger. "That hurt my ear!"

"Sorry," Raegan said in a colorless voice, probably not sorry at all. "I didn't know."

From this point and on, Reika wanted to make Raegan pay for her actions. How dare she scream loudly in her ear and apologize sarcastically and blandly? Reika needed a plan on how she was going to make Raegan pay without her parents knowing, so she came up with one. Reika took her phone from her pocket and started to text Zayon.

---Me---

lmao, u left ur kids home alone, so i thought i would stop by and babysit them for a bit

---my future husband <3333---

oh thank jesus christtttt

u r a saint tysm

---Me---

no problem!

---

Reika smiled and hugged her phone to her chest.

"Babysitter!" Raegan called to Reika. "What's your name?"

Reika smiled at Raegan. "Oh, you can call me Reiky."

"Okay, Reiky!" Raegan smiled. She started to skip to her room when Reika stopped her.

"Wait!" She yelled. "Come here, let's talk."

Raegan walked slowly towards Reika. "What's up?"

"Do you have any problems with your life right now?" Reika asked.

Raegan shook her head slowly, but the more she thought about Reiky's question, the more she started to believe that she should've nodded her head "yes" instead of shook it "no".

Raegan cleared her throat. "Well, I do have a few problems."

Reika smiled mysteriously. "Open up to me. Tell me all your problems." Raegan felt herself being carried into Reika's weirdly comforting lap.

"Well, I don't really like my dad. He's rude to me."

"Do you want to emphasize on that?"

Raegan shook her head. "No thank you."

Reika smiled mysteriously once again. Her smile could've meant anything. "Well, do you want to learn how to end that pain?"

Raegan nodded her head. "Um, yes!"

Reika's smile got even wider, looking more mysterious and peculiar. It was soul-sucking to try to figure out what Reika's true expression was because her smile looked evil and devilish, but at the same time, it looked calm and trusting. Her smile felt genuine, like she would help you whenever you needed help, the same smile she smiled at Zayon when he needed help. But it felt evil and cunning, like the warmness and kindness was just a mask to hide the ugly, ungodly, sinful face it actually had. Reika was never going to tell anyone her true feelings, so no one would ever know them because it was baffling to try to find them out.

Reika carried Raegan in her arms, emitting a safe and protected essence that Raegan had never felt ever before. She felt like a beloved baby that everyone wanted to protect. Reika was walked higher and higher up the stairs. Suddenly, Raegan recognized this place.

"This is the stairs leading to the roof, Daddy said not to go here!" Raegan protested.

Reika looked at Raegan and smiled sweetly, even though it felt bitter. Her voice sounded so full of color even though it felt grey. Then, Reika leaned her lips close to Raegan's ear.

"Do you think that your Daddy cares even one bit about you?" She whispered softly. "You said you don't like him, right? That's good, because if you did like him, you'd be liking a person that only cares about sex and finding more and more women to date. You might not know what all that means yet, but soon you will, and one day you'll thank me, so come with me to the roof."

Raegan nodded slowly and started to lift up higher and higher as she was being carried once again.

"We're here, Raegan" Reika announced. "We are finally at the roof."

Raegan looked up at Reika worried and confused. "How will being in the roof solve my problems?"

Reika smiled a smile that could've meant anything. "The roof won't solve your problems, jumping off of it will."
