Guess I found Chōmei (updated)

It's been at least an hour I don't even know what to do or where to go right now.

It's been storming for so long and I don't even have a place to get warm. At this point I'm gonna get sick and die before my story can started.

Over this entire time I've just walked in a single direction that just 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 right. I can't place the reason, but it just feels like I should be going this way.

Wait, oh there's a big ass temple. I picked up my pace and approached the temple faster before walking in slowly checking for animals or some kinda monster.

Walking into the building my legs feel a little weak..and there's this overbearing pressure on my entire body. Perhaps this is my sense stat warning me…I should say here and not go any further.

I made it into here anyway, shouldn't get too greedy, I'll just stay here and be alert.

-3 hours later-

This is getting annoying, I might have to go and investigate it. I've never been this curious before I died, but it's like I'm being drawn to it. Maybe I inherited Nuru's curiosity or something.

As I drew nearer to the ᴛʜɪɴɢ I could feel my legs grow weaker and weaker, and yet my will persisted.

"I don't think I can go any further." Just one door away I couldn't move any further into the temple. Collapsing onto the floor my breath was growing heavy.

'System, is there any way for me to get stronger right now, that I just don't know?'

"hooo" with an exhale I focused towards the chakra in my body, and focused it to my legs attempting to coat my muscles with it.

I'll have to check that out later, although this process just got a helluva lot easier than before. Passing through the door into this giant room, with a massive creature in the middle of it.

"what the hell?" The giant body stood still, resonating a feeling of chakra so dense I could feel it.

Approaching the monster it seemed lifeless, almost like it was a carcass. Strangely a powerful, almost blue looking purple liquid came from it.

"wait a minute…This is a molt." My head whipped around looking to see if I missed a creature because of the chakra reading.

"…there doesn't seem to be anything here." Whatever this was must've left. I can only wonder what kind of thing could leave this here.

What is that purple energy? First off this thing is releasing a lot of chakra, and despite not understanding much I understand Chakra is a important resource, so maybe I could benefit from this.

-10 minutes later-

I'm at my max of chakra I can hold… so this isn't working at all. I don't really know what to do with this thing if I can't absorb it's chakra.

There's gotta be something in the notes and scrolls I've taken from home. I'm sure I can use this in some way.

Wait, what if I just try touching it first…nothing else is here so I'm sure the rewards would out-way any possible risks.

Placing my hand onto the molt my mind was assaulted by multiple things.

The first thing I felt was a tether or connection to sᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ and the second was a system notification.

Wait essence? Is that the thing the Goddess told me about? Cool some time for more emotions, this new body already made me a bit more expressive. This should be pretty good for me if I'm right about this.

Fine by me I kinda forgot about it to begin with…either way just absorb it if you may. Instantly the essence was sucked into my mask.

Just as I began to take my hand off of the shedding a loud, foreign voice boomed through my head.

'Could that be what I think it is? It seems I really did connect to the last of the Weaver clan, Lucky~✮'

I whipped around on instinct searching for the source of the voice.

'Calm down little threadling, or perhaps I should call you little monarch now? Talking about skipping grades.'

They begin laughing loud enough to give me a headache, although I'm not sure how it didn't.

'Don't worry little monarch I am Lucky Seven Chōmei ✮' despite their distractingly cheery voice my brain made a immediate connection.

With my jaw dropping in shock all I could focus on was his name. 'Wait…you're 𝘵𝘩𝘦 Chōmei?'

'The seven and only!' Uhhh what does that even mean…either way the only guy I even know about in this world supposed to be on my side, is dead..
