chapter 14 : the ba holder
In any city, in any country, buy a Ouija board and take it to a place you call home. Be careful: if you don't stay alone, you might end up endangering the people around you. Whether this ritual will prove successful or not, there will be unintended consequences. If you are still daring to seek this Object, you must possess at least one other Object that you have obtained for this ritual to be successful. Place all of your Objects next to the Ouija board and use them to spell "The Holder of Ba". If you succeed, you will see the lights start to go out and the objects around you become invisible. All objects that are no longer visible will disappear and return to their places for you to look for again.
Walk around your house. You will see how the colors will fade to a more hazy grayish color. The house will change its shape. All the rooms will remain the same, but what used to take you to one room will now take you to a different area of the house. You have to find a way to your bedroom. It may take you minutes or years to find it. You won't starve or die during that time.
However, you may start to feel sick, depressed, and/or emotional. The longer you are here, the stronger the emotion becomes, until you are completely consumed by it and forget why you are doing this in the first place. Once you can finally reach your bedroom, the other side of the room will be filled with an enormous void. The spirit world has opened up, and it is only a matter of time before these spirits flood the earth and feast on your living souls.
the cloaked figure before you'll be lost forever. If the sign instead says "He" (Him), the spirits you released will flood the room. They will gather themselves thoroughly and assume the form of someone you recognized but died.
If that form is a spirit that holds a grudge against you, it will be given to them. They will tear you apart with the eternal hatred carried over from their previous lives. If it's the spirit of someone you love, they'll hold you in bondage, a bonded slave until the rest of your life is drained away. If that form is the spirit of a friend or relative, they will replace you. You will feel the life you are living and their suffering after they pass away.
However, if the spirits transformed into someone you didn't recognize, they would smile as they ascended into the afterlife. A light will shine from within the Objects, bringing back the bright colors to your home and returning everything to its original place. The objects will return intact, along with an incense stick burning in what used to be a Ouija board. Even though it was now no more than an incense stick in size, a wispy wisp of smoke would still emit from its tip.
The incense is Object 14 of 2000. The incense will be lit again when the end of time comes.
