Maya stomped out of the hospital room, and she could hear Victor's footsteps behind her. When she saw Azalea, she hugged the woman. "Goodnight, Aza—are you okay?"
Azalea nodded, sniffling back her tears. "I'm good, you should go now," she didn't want to bother others with her own problems.
Maya nodded. "Alright, goodnight." She waved, walking outside the hospital without waiting for Victor. She waited for a cab, and when one came, Victor honked loudly behind her. Seeing that he wasn't going to stop, Maya waved for the cab driver to leave. Then Victor drove forward, parking in front of her.
"Maya, get inside the car," Victor's voice was low and left no room for argument.
Throwing her face to the side, Maya refused. "I can find my way; you don't have to worry about me."
