08. Something unexpected happen

Today's the day Mahi is going to meet her husband to be as today is going to be their Roka. It's been less than a month from Natasha's wedding. Her wedding is taking place in Delhi as she want to get married in her hometown.

In this one month she came to know a lot about her husband to be as he is Karthik cousin brother. Karthik elder uncle's son, Karthik is so happy with the fact that she is going to become his family member.

"Ohh...girl Earth please!" Natasha injected in her thoughts.

"I am on the earth is just that I'm very nervous." Mahi said nervously.

"I am also very know as you know I think is very ugly that's why there is not a single photograph of his available on the internet." Natasha said thinking.

"ok please he is just like to be low profile." Divya said rolling her eyes. And their non stop bantering started.

"Princess you are getting mad before me while here I'm still single.duh." said a new member who came into the room Kiara.

"Then why didn't you marry him I don't have any problem." Mahi said with a wink.

"No thank you, you know I have a boyfriend and I love him a lot." Kiara said while blushing.

"Ahh..di come on you are in relationship from last three years and your blessing till now gosh grow up." Mahi said to her sister who's elder to her by two years.

"Fuck off!" Kiara said angrily while stomping her feet. Everyone just laugh at her.

Everyone knows about Mahi's wedding expect Hrithik as he's out of the country due to some work little did they know the work he is doing is, to plan a perfect proposal for Mahi.

It's Karthik idea to not interfere with his work. As a guy he can simply understand his feelings towards Mahi but as Mahi's good friend and his cousin getting married he don't want any trouble in the wedding so he give them thousand of reason to not tell Hrithik about Mahi's wedding.

Mahi got readily agree cause she didn't want her emotions got disturbed in to her wedding due to a certain person as she is the one who agreed to this marriage.

After that Dee and Natasha also don't have any problem cause they thought thier friend don't want to disturb Hrithik work due to her wedding.

"Let's go your husband is here." Kiara said with a playful wink.

"Bitch!" Mahi said gritting her teeth.Dee and Natasha laugh at both sister.

Mahi came downstairs with her friends and cousin wearing a pink Punjabi suit. Bohemian Side Braid Hairstyle with several hair strands on her face and a small smile on her face.

Her friend lead her toward a sofa and after that everyone make Avatar sit next to her for further rituals.

On the Roka ceremony, a tilak ceremony takes place during which a paste made of roli (sacred thread) and rice is put on the forehead of the girl and boy. The girl is adorned with a red chunni (long scarf). Exchanging of gifts also takes place.

After everything done Mahi receive a lot of gifts from her in laws so do Avatar. Family member exchange their gifts and start discussing about the engagement.

While Natasha and Divya get awestruck by Avatar looks. He is normally wear a white shirt with brown pants paired with brown loafer shoes.

They never thought Mahi's husband is going to be this handsome they always thought he someone very ugly that why there is not a single photograph of him but they are happy for their friend.

"okay...if you want you can talk with each other. Mahi take Avatar to your room." Mrs Malhotra said. She dont want her daughter to get married this early but now that she is getting married then she must know something about her husband before marriage as communication is the best key for a relationship.

"Okay Mom!" Mahi said try to force a smile on her face because you don't want to meet him alone.

Divya, Natasha and Kiara wants to eavesdrop but Madam Malhotra stopped them by a single glare, power of Madam President.

"I don't know what to talk." Mahi broke the awkward silence between them inside the room.

Avatar rise his left brow while saying "I thought you have a lot of thing to talk."

"why did you thought that?"

Avatar lick his lower lip before continuing "Because girls are always excited about to know about their life partners."

"OK then how many girls did you meet or i should ai how many girls did you know?" Mahi ask with a playful smile while wiggling her brows.

"That's tough one I didn't count." Avatar said as if he is thinking deeply about her question, which left Mahi mouth wide agape. After seeing her reaction Avatar laugh. He take her face into his palm while saying "I didn't get anyone so I don't know."

"Liar!" Mahi said hitting his hand aside "Karthik told me that you have a girlfriend."

Avatar find her gesture cute and he didn't try to held her again as he casually tuck his hand into his pocket "She is not my girlfriend, she is just my friend with benefits and no one knows about it in my family cause if they know they will kill me. But my family thinks that she is my girlfriend and she dumped me."

Mahi truly speechless "Then why did you both stop your relationship."

"Last year I have to come back to the country from USA so we just stop our relationship." Avatar said scratching his forehead. He literally don't know how to explain his relationship status with a girl he didn't even in a relationship "We both are just partners in bed and I'm not interested in any relationship and she want more means a official relationship with me so I just quite and I also got a reason that I have to come back to the country so we can't continue our this bed relationship."

"She agreed?" Mahi didn't believe what is she listening he is saying a totally different story from Karthik.

"Yeah... she is not interested in someone middle class like me." Mahi have a knowing look on her face, middle class and you are you kidding me. As if Avatar understand her look he move to explain "yeah she don't know about my family as I'm a scholarship student."

Mahi don't know what to say "Are you sure you didn't love her?"

"No, just that I never explain it to my family because if I did my mom will kill me." Avatar said while making a gesture by his fingers cutting his neck.

Mahi laugh a loud "Are you sure I am not going to tell your mom."

"Even if you tell her, she will not give me now I want to ask her daughter in law." Avatar also laugh.
