Chapter 10

"What do you mean" Aether asked warily, while scrutinizing the figure chained. He tried to determine the power of the figure in front of him, to his surprise he wasn't able to determine anything. The figure chucked and said "You do not need to worry about that for now. Shouldn't you be worried about your sister?"

Aether narrowed his eyes and responded "Do you think I am not?! She's the only thing I care about" The figure chuckled and said "Good, that will make this easier. Your sister is in grave danger" As he said that a screen popped up showing Lumine being surrounded by ruin guards severely injured. Aether watched as his sister was forced into a dangerous situation, he turned to the figure with his hands clenched tightly.

The figure said, "Your sister will die soon, unless you use my power." while Lumine was pushed back into a wall as the ruin guards began to charge up their lasers. Aether said, "Let me use your powers!" Aether said as blood began to drip from his clenched hand. The figure chuckled and said, "Why should I give you, my power?" "I am willing to do anything you want to do as long as you give me, your power!" Aether said with convention in his eyes. The figure said, "But if you accept my power, you will lose your current power, are you willing to do that?"

Bang! As Lumine was thrown back something strange happen to Aether's body. It slowly rose from the ground and lifted his hand up. A shield suddenly materialized in front of Lumine as the lasers were shot. The shield turned red from the heat and power from the lasers but stood in place.

The ruin guards turned over to Aether as they sensed a greater threat coming from him. They started to walk over to him while a few jumped on to him. "No! Aether!" Lumine cried, her eyes widening as the ruin guards that tried to jump on him be deflected by the same energy shield that protected her.

The ruin guards started to power up their lasers as he tried to open his eyes. As he frowned in their area he pushed his hand toward the ruin guards as a massive hand was sent at them. Bang! The earth shook and the sky darkened.

Deep inside the ruin a machine turned on and said 'Suitable creature found, beginning testing' The machine activated the mechanisms and created a portal. But the ground rumbled furiously and one of the parts shifted off course and cut through the structure containing it. 'Warning, Warning, Warning. Portal structure has been damaged.' The portal slowly began to expand growing faster and faster as nothing could contain it.
