Three-horned lion

As the pack chased behind the creature, shadow Lox noticed the change of action from the pry, they slowed down to a stop as well. Ten of them have jumped down from the tall green lushed tree abruptly. No expression showed on they're face, just pure intentional malice, In a circular motion they made, slowly surrounded shadow lox. Not hindered by their action, shadow Lox continued to wait as Alden ordered it.

All pack paced back and forth, not daring to get close to the pry that had just halted. To Alden's surprise and fascination, he could hear through shadow Lox the growling noise coming from the chests of the three-horned lions. Lox ears switched left and right, resonating around the vicinity. Using shadow lox senses more clearly. Observing his surroundings, with their mouth shut, yet their chest heaves in and out unusually, Alden like child in a zoo with both parents, weirded out by the freakish scene began to contemplate profusely.

[Damn] He thought

[I can hear the sound that they are making but how are they able to do that without opening their mouth]

[are they part fish?]

Observing more closely, he could see the difference. Sharp claws, narrowed cat eyes, dreaded hair around the neck area that looked almost alive. He would not be wrong to assume that their hair is somewhat tentacles-like. Flexible, mobile, elongated organs. The hair seems to sit well with their muscular bodies blending as part of its features. This simple observation reminded Alden of the mythological beast 'Chimera.' A powerful beast. Mixed with different type of animals combined, each head or tail is equipped with powerful element. Able to bring down anyone.

During his free time, away from the harsh reality, the Alden from Earth, had a friend who died trying to save his wife from a rubber that accidentally held them at gun point. Before he died tragically. Alden had meet him during an event he attend. Hosted by one of his good clients at that time, they talked and laughed about almost anything. They bro'ed up at that moment. Caught up after work, played golf at an expensive membership club stating it's for work purposes. It was the first time Alden had ever called someone he trusts a true friend. Anyway, after introducing Alden to the world of gaming and novels, Alden was instantly hooked to it, making his own research about games and buying the best tach gaming equipment he could ever afford. Spending countless times wasted plying RPG,RTS,FPS and MOBA. Alden even barely managed to accumulate knowledge of the great and mighty DND. With his sword of might, the office worker, casual geek, almost fell into the world of never return called parent's basement, (almost).

Continuing. That's why he is now fascinated and knowledgeable by whatever he sees in this dreaded world. A fantasy world etched deeply in his heart of yearning. Why would anyone not dip into it, Anyways with due course of a levitating happiness suddenly fell short. His courageous friend passed away, his wife fallowed, not wanting to bare the pain of a lose. She took hers, chasing after him. Alden reminiscing about finally realised he too had passed away. Pushing those thoughts behind his head, Alden van Farrow focused his attention back at the those creatures. Awed witnessing this. If he had a body at this moment he would have smiled and clapped at this show.

Abruptly one of the three-horned lion packs stepped a little forward. With its eyes that stared straight at shadow lox, it initiated an even louder growl than the others, with its resonating chest that flows rhythmically in and out; with this strange display, the others on the ground fallowed. To Alden's stupor of surprise, he thought this particular scene was like a tribal dance around a fire but with more chest moves.

Alden is dazed at this; he looks again and atop the tall trees. The rest of the three-horned lion's pack is not following the rest on the ground.

[why aren't they joining them]

[Or are they keeping watch] he thought.

Alden proceeded to watch with fascination. He did not know that this strange scene was a stage call for their Leader, and among these beasts on the ground, Alden's attention watches the one who acted as the Pack Leader.

[...….]

[hahaha, This is the best Zoo I have ever been to]

[But this is not enough for me to be distracted] Alden thought,

If his main body is here, Alden would have already put out a menacing smile. He knows full well that this entertaining dance is but a play for the final result. expanding his senes, Alden felt a fluctuation of energy heading towards his location

[I guess it's time for this show to end]

Predicting the outcomes, suddenly, shadow lox body shivered, darting its eye from the strange dance to face forwards. The one that set off the scene kept the strange growl continuing and proceeded to walk back to the circular motion, closing all exist for the shadow creature to escape.

~Hmph A futile effort~

Amid a loud growling noise, Alden spoke through shadow lox. Even though he has not explored this new world yet, one thing about being in the den of wolves is to never let your guard down around your enemies. Alden kept his thoughts ready. Sensing the upcoming enemy and comparing it with Lox, Alden relaxed and proceeded to wait. As the sound of spoken language uttered from the shadow creature, those around did not detour from their strange dance. All ignored it and proceeded to growl. Alden stared forward at the empty path that the three-horned lion's pack had suddenly made.

Then without warning, those beasts began to walk forward towards shadow lox slowly, their mouth that shut slowly opened with a steam of fog dispersing, yellowish saliva drips down their mouth and burns the spot it landed. Alden is flabbergasted at this scene.

[wow]

[Salivating flames, how odd]

[What kind of beast are they?]

The world that he now lives in continues to surprise him at every minute. A cornucopia of a twisted yet opportunist world has set an ignition on his curiosity.
