159 First Girl To See His Face

"Alicia! Alicia! Talk to me! You know that you can't hide in there forever," Her mother banged on the door and Alicia in question pulled her pillow over her head and used it to cover her ears. Why couldn't the woman just leave her alone?

But her efforts were futile because the knocks came on stronger and she knew her mother was not going to leave until she answered her. So she ripped the pillow off her head and got out of bed, dressed in her nightgown, and stomped over to the door.

When she finally ripped the door open, her mother nearly fell in, evidence that she had been leaning against it.

"What?!" She barked rudely.

"Alicia, manners." The woman gasped, her hands on her chest as if she had nearly frightened her.

But her daughter shot her an annoyed look, she was not in the mood to entertain her semantics right now. Alicia needed to go back and think.
