Rebirth, considered the strongest technique of the entirety of {Spirit of the Phoenix}. Using the flame blessed onto the warrior by the Phoenix they use it to completely refine their body. Granting them a strength of which they could only dream of. This could only be performed once, and can only be properly executed a specific timeframe in a warrior's existence. If this was missed they could only relent for the rest of their lives.
Wrock had reached this point after the training with Tyin and Yomi. After being asked why he didn't undergo the process he gave a mysterious answer. However the actual reason was that he wasn't entirely sure it was possible.
In his previous world he had already undergone rebirth. Since it was the same Spirit from then he was unsure if it was possible. Moreover since what he had was an avatar and not his actual body it only deepened his doubts. Perhaps now that he properly executed it a weight was removed from his shoulders.
Moreover it seemed the effects were even greater than before. . .

Humive had inexplicable joy, "Finally! I knew it!"
Nine frowned, "This level of Spirit. . ."
Heave finished, "It's on par with a few of the Seniors."
"He truly is someone worthy of the title of Martial Lord! He may very well be the one person I can count on to push Merin higher!", Humive spoke excitedly.
"Was that your goal? To find someone who can compete against the Sword Saint?", asked Nine.
"Of course! She's been stuck for years, she hasn't left The Gated Arena because she was searching for someone to give her that step she's missing. A real challenge to push her. Although it's a shame this is only Second Stage, it might very well be exactly what she's looking for!"
Meanwhile in the South Spectator Box the rest of the Party was stunned. Kan'na asked, "Is it just me or is that far stronger than when he used it before?"
Tilia nodded, "That's on a whole other level."
"I can't believe it.", Yielya murmured, "The Azure Flame returns. . ."
Horrow was shocked, "This level of strength. . . what chance do we have of winning now?"
"Now? I'd say it's about ten times what we had originally."
A gleam of hope entered his eyes, "If we beat the Sword Saint then the South Providence will be saved!"
"Place your bets then, because this fight is going to be one to remember."
Merin took up a stance, "You have my hopes up Wrock, don't let me down!"
"Yeah, we'll see."
Wrock's figure vanished and reappeared in front of her, his foot arcing towards her. She raised a sword to block but Wrock flickered and his stance completely changed. His fist slammed into her abdomen, Spirit flowing out in a circle from the impact. She winced but swung horizontally, cutting through space with her pinnacle technique!
[Horizontal Slash].
Thud-
Wrock lifted a hand and blocked it, Merin's eyes sparkled with joy for a split second. His fist flickered and slammed into her stomach and sent her flying back. Wrock rolled his wrist, "Almost adjusted, but what about you? You're not going to keep holding back are you?"
"Whatever do you mean?"
Merin dashed forward, a pressure beginning to be released from her. As she ran she swung several times through the air, near invisible crescent slashes flying forward. Wrock smacked them away from harm, changing their direction through the air. As they came into contact with the Arena they formed deep gashes.
A sword swung towards his neck, just as it was about to make contact Wrock's figure vanished and reappeared above the sword. Azure flame flickering and igniting at his foot. Kicking horizontally the flame moved into the shape of a circle.
{Spirit of the Phoenix: Wheel of Reincarnation}!
The Sword Saint ducked, as if predicting the move, swinging upwards the space began to split!
[Upward Slash]!
Wrock vanished again, the sword passing through only his afterimage. Merin couldn't even blink before he landed his kick, sending her flying to the side. He landed lightly, Spirit swirling around him, "What happened to it being your way of showing honor?"
Merin flipped and landed, holding her cheek she still had the sparkle of joy in her eyes, "I didn't want to end this so soon."
"Let's not insult me."
"Yeah I can see that now! Forgive my rudeness, I won't be holding back any further!"
Peerless Edge began to glow, a gray light encompassing Merin. It brightened before exploding, revealing a set of dull gray armor. In the center of the chestplate lay a large diamond. The armor looked like it was made of iron and sat to rest in storage for many years. Yet despite it's lack of flashiness it held authority. Resting upon her shoulders was a white fur cape, its length only going down to the middle of her back. It was held together by a silver chain. Similarly the white fur provided the only form of detailing the armor had. The ends of her greaves and gauntlets had a layer of densely packed white fur. Resting upon her head was a dull and thin gray crown. It could also be said that it was a tiara. A thin diamond rested in the center of it, sparkling in the light.
Wrock narrowed his gaze, "Synced Nexus."
"Oh that's an old term, I'm surprised you know of it."
"I've seen a few people who were capable of it."
"As expected you've met quite the warriors."
Merin flourished her sword, "It's not often I use this."
"Consider me honored."
The audience buzzed about. The last time the Sword Saint used Synced Nexus was decades ago! How was it some unknown Pugilist was capable of pushing her this far? Just who was this guy?!
