Flowing Comprehension/Rising of the Azure Phoenix

Wrock sat crosslegged on top of a hill. Silently he meditated, a peaceful expression on his face.

If someone was to watch this from an outside perspective, they would catch glimpses of blue embers floating around Wrock.

Currently Wrock was increasing his Spirit. A slow and tedious process to increase the max amount he can use.

Wrock could see the blue flame inside him. It slowly flickered about, a picture of a Phoenix appearing occasionally. This was the source of his Spirit, but it wasn't what he used in battle. Instead it worked like a generator, constantly producing usable Spirit for whatever Wrock desired to use it for. The amount of Spirit he was able to create was based around the amount he could store.

If put into mathematical terms, it was around 5% an hour. Meaning it takes nearly a full day for him to recover completely, granted he used his entire stockpile that is.

Increasing the stockpile was simple enough, once it reached maximum capacity Wrock needed to use it to push the boundaries. Like blowing a balloon with air except taking far longer.

He repeated this process daily, granting him a small increase in the size of his stockpile. Yet despite the slow process that might discourage others, Wrock found it peaceful and calming.

Wrock noticed someone approaching and stopped his practice. Turning towards the figure that approached him he noticed them to be a dwarf.

'Might be my outfit then.'

The dwarf reached ear-distance and shouted, "Oi! Your stuff is ready!"

Dusting off his clothes Wrock stood up and walked towards the dwarf, "Already?"

"Since you asked for more physical enhancements than defensive, it didn't take long at all. I hope it's to your liking."

The dwarf pulled out a folded outfit from a pocket. Wrock assumed that the dwarves had something similar to the inventory bags that players were given.

Wrock received the outfit with a smile. As soon as it was placed into his hands the information page appeared.

[Rising of the Azure Phoenix]

Rarity: Legend Creating

A traveler that crossed many lands tells a tale: That upon reaching the Summit of the Sun one could spot a newborn Phoenix spread its wings for the first time. Yet once a millennium a Phoenix born of a color blue would arise instead. Those who are granted the pleasure to see this claim that instead of spotting a rising Sun, they spotted the sky itself.

Unfolding the Gi Wrock inspected it. Just from carrying the Gi he was capable of telling how lightweight it was. The design was simple, the color of the Gi was a much darker blue compared to Wrock's Spirit. There was no sleeves, most likely to improve movement. The belt meant to secure the waist was white, alongside the foot wraps. On the back of the outfit was a white design of a Phoenix, a set of runes was written just above the picture.

Wrock studied and asked, "What does the runes say?"

"Arise."

"Ha, I like it!"

Wrock equipped the outfit and immediately felt the difference. He was far lighter than before, and the buffs strengthened him incredibly. Wrock jumped about and threw some simple attacks to test the outfit.

"Very nice! You have my thanks."

"We are glad you like it. If it ever gets damaged, any blacksmith should be able to repair it as long as they're competent."

"Alright, don't plan on getting it damaged though."

"I would assume so granted the lack of protection."

"There's a bit of protection."

"That's from the materials we used. Regardless I must get back to work. If you have any problems or would like to make adjustments you can ask any of us."

"Roger!"

"I'll be taking my leave."

Wrock waited until the dwarf left his sight before rolling his shoulders, "Right then, time to adjust."

He lightly jumped to warm up his legs. He switched his stance after each jump. Once he felt satisfied he landed and took off.

Wind kicked up furiously from his movements. Afterimages appeared occasionally, but not too solid in form.

Wrock attacked the air, causing gusts of wind to form. After a few sets of basic attacks Wrock finished his practice by punching a tree. The tree shattered to splinters.

Lifting a fist Wrock smiled, "This gives me quite the fighting chance."

~ ~ ~

Magic circles floated about, a six point formation was glowing on the floor beneath them.

The dwarves and Kan'na were heavily focused on their latest attempt. A robe was slowly being formed, magic circles and formations slowly being inscribed onto it during the process.

The process was tedious, but not a single person complained. All working to complete this single item. After several hours of continuous, mind-straining work the outfit was completed. The magic inscriptions on it began to glow harmoniously. The dwarves watched it with a nervous eye. It was by far the most difficult of all their prototypes, if it ended up in failure they would be quite dispirited.

Kan'na had a different reaction, she noticed the strange movement of the ambient mana. The outfit itself seemed to call to it, like a warming household.

Lifting her hand she gently touched the outfit. As soon as she did a system notification appeared.

<Due to the amount of Arcane Knowledge inscribed upon item, a drastic change will occur!>

<Due to the Player having contributed most creation of this item, a Title will be granted!>

<The Title: "Mark of the Arcane" has been granted!>

Kan'na was immensely pleased. The outfit itself outmatched everything of hers in value. The effects and Skills were simply far too valuable.

She also peeked at her new Title.

=Mark of the Arcane=

Granted only to those who master the language of magic. A badge of honor to those who study in the workings of magic. To be granted a Mark of the Arcane is proof of your tireless efforts.

Effects:

- Increases the purity of the player's mana, reducing the MP cost of spells.

- Increases Mind Clarity

- Grants access to the Arcane Athenaeum.

=End=

Kan'na wasn't sure what exactly the Arcane Athenaeum was, but she now had access to it. Her guess was a place of magic knowledge that is gathered, accessed only by those with this Mark.

She then noticed the dwarves' expectant looks. Clearly anxious to see her reaction to the results. Kan'na smiled, "We've done it, this is incredible."

The dwarves were ecstatic and cheered. As they celebrated Kan'na equipped the outfit. It was amethyst in color, matching nicely with her hair. The sleeves reached to her wrists, at the edge sparkling green gems were implanted. The robe had a hood that laid loose around the neck. The back of the robe flowed down to the back of the knee, due to the magic circles that constantly flickered, it seemed to flow in slow motion.

It fitted nicely, and felt comfortable. Kan'na could also feel the change in her stats, more importantly the mana as well. With such an outfit she felt almost convinced that she could take on Third Stage opponents.

Quickly ridding this thought Kan'na thoroughly thanked the dwarves. Her thanks was expertly pushed away however.

Now having obtained an incredibly powerful item, Kan'na desired to test its capabilities. She quickly sent a message to the others and rapidly a plan was stitched together.

They would go and test their new equipment!
