Travis stood unmoving, his sword rested by his side.
Even though his current position was full of openings, Blissful Death and Dead's Whisper didn't make a move. The masked figure had already seeded fear into their hearts. They seemed to be unaffected by the attacks they received from the fog. Meanwhile Blissful Death's face had a wicked bruise on it.
Travis noticed they weren't moving and raised an eyebrow, 'Oh? They aren't moving? In that case-!"

"It seems a few got quite lucky with their Champions this time around."
"Indeed, the last one certainly had far more close battles. The strength level has definitely been raised."
"Perhaps they have invested more resources this time. I can see the distress upon the faces of several, only a few seem unbothered."
"This isn't a level of strength one can obtain with mere resources. This is serious talent."
"This one shall be interesting..."

Clang~
Dead's Whisper felt sweat on the back of their neck. This guy was way too strong! Every strike they blocked sent a shock through their body.
Travis did a few strikes, trying to get a feel for his opponents skill level. As he fought he became mildly impressed, this skill level was enough to thoroughly trash average players. Even some low tier professional players. Yet it wasn't enough.
Travis swung and forcefully moved Dead's Whisper's sword away. He slashed forward, aiming to carve into Dead's Whisper.
Dead's Whisper moved to the side. They were unable to dodge completely, a deep gash appeared on their side.
Blissful Death shouted, "Ignoring me will have consequences! [Illusory Domain]!"
The white fog expanded around them, it's size covered half the entire arena!
'Oh?'
Travis was surprised, a skill to cover this much space. It outranked his War Sight's range by quite the amount!
Dead's Whisper was fighting like their life was on the edge. Yet there was nothing there!
'Such a wide scale illusion, quite terrifying.'
Travis grinned, it was such a shame he held the three truths. Such a skill, it was useless in front of him!
Travis moved towards Blissful Death. The latter was shocked that their domain seemed to be ineffective. Their guard was at an all time high, "You. . . what are you?!"
Travis didn't respond. All Blissful Death saw was a cloaked figure, a white mask with a singular dot in the middle. Such a figure gave them a sense of fear, they could sense nothing! It was like a void, one they would fall into!
Blissful Death grit their teeth, "Your strength. . . it's nothing!"
Their hand shot forward, "Intertwine Illusions, collapse upon my enemy! [Fallen Delusions]!"
The fog around Travis warped and changed. A soldier appeared, heavily armored with no skin in sight. A greatsword rested upon their shoulder. Upon seeing this Travis raised an eyebrow, seemed sort of like a standard souls like boss!
The soldier slowly walked forward, each step caused the armor to clink against itself. The footsteps were heavy, as if throwing away any attempt to gain the surprise.
Travis was intrigued, he had never seen this soldier before. He assumed it must be a creation unique to Blissful Death, since no one had reached the Abyss as soon as he.
Travis walked closer to the soldier, the moment he was within distance The soldier swung its greatsword.
Travis' eyes widened-
Clang~
Travis' arm quivered from blocking the blow. Only a singular thought formed in his head at this moment, 'Fast!'
The soldier was incredibly fast! Travis didn't actually register the fact the soldier swung, his natural reactions saved him!
Blissful Death laughed, "Hahaha! To think you can even stand against a delusion this strong! Ah such sweet memories!"
Travis' eyes narrowed, he didn't like the sound of their voice.
"My skill, [Fallen Delusions] allows me to summon a random delusion I have personally crushed. This one the delusion of a small child boy. They were nine- no, eight years old? What you're fighting right now his the boy's delusion of his father: a strong and invincible knight. Ah I remember the terror on that boy's face when that same invincible knight was torn to pieces in front of him! Such a terrified expression!"
Their high pitched laugh could be heard. Travis grit his teeth, he felt sick. Even though he did whatever he could to obtain strength, even though he would crush anything that stood in his way. He had his own morals, destroying children's families? Killing their parents in front of them? Even if he was offered the strongest items, millions of stat points. He wouldn't do such a thing, his power was something he obtained with his own hands.
He chuckled at his own foolishness, he slaughtered things for his own sake. Monsters, enemies. He killed the old holder of Eyes of Marking. They could have had a family, perhaps they were the father of a kid waiting for their invincible father to come home. But still, he would never take joy in this!
He pushed away the greatsword and grabbed the chestplate armor with his offhand. He threw the soldier into the air, "Delusions? Strongest and invincible warrior? Nonsense, the only one having delusions here is you! This skill has no effect on me!"
Travis sheathed his sword and jumped into the air. He spun and threw a kick towards the soldier. The soldier used their greatsword to block the attack, but the force was too much and they were sent flying back.
Travis charged two [Depth's Beam], one in each hand. He combined the two into a ball in front of him. The dark colored ball was running rampant with energy. Travis stopped charging and held it with a single hand. His hand tightened and the beam fired!
Bwooomm~
The knight landed and quickly recovered, upon seeing the incoming beam they quickly raised their greatsword to guard themself.
It was futile, the beam easily broke through such a hasty defense. In mere seconds the soldier disintegrated into nothing.
Travis landed and murmured, "Go back to your son, he needs a strong and invincible father."
Blissful Death was angered, "Strong and invincible warrior?! Such trash! Then I shall summon a new delusion-"
Travis used [Truth Twofold: Existence] and teleported in front of them. His fist slammed into their stomach. Blissful Death spat blood from the force.
Travis punched Blissful Death's jaw, sending them into the air. Before they fell back to the ground Travis bent his leg inwards before extending it with his full power, his foot slammed into Blissful Death causing them to be sent flying.
Blissful Death recovered and extended their arms. Swinging them in front the fog surrounding Travis began to form and attack him.
Since the fog wasn't something he could harm he focused on dodging and blocking. However there was too many attacks and several got through his defenses.
He ducked under an attack and did a barrel roll midair to dodge another. Immediately he leaned back into a backwards roll to dodge another two attacks. Yet the fog was unyielding and immediately attacked again.
The fog hit his arm, causing him to flinch slightly. He extended his leg outward to lower himself further towards the ground. The fog barely missing. Immediately after dodging he swung his legs forward until they were above him. He bunched himself together before launching himself up with his arms. He spun midair to readjusted himself, as he did he sent a shuriken towards Blissful Death.
They immediately watched the incoming shuriken, weary of any hidden attacks.
Travis smirked, it was merely a distraction. Now that Blissful Death's attention was averted. . .
As soon as he landed he took off, his speed was something he put great importance on. After fighting Blissful Death he was confident that they couldn't match his speed.
In just a second he appeared in front of Blissful Death, his sword charged with [Abyssal Enhancement]. His eyes shone with a golden rune, however this couldn't be seen through his mask.
He had used [Truth Twofold: Revealing] a glaring red spot appeared on Blissful Death's side.
Blissful Death's eyes widened upon seeing Travis in front of them. However it was too late!
Travis swung and his sword struck the middle of the red spot, his already ridiculous damage skyrocketed. His sword cleaved through his opponent, separating them into two halves.
Blissful Death collapsed onto the ground, their body twitching before it remained unmoving. The white fog began to fade before disappearing altogether. A blue screen turned red, the name on it was:
Blissful Death!

"Not a word of them?"
"There have been sightings, but they are unusually alert to followers. All of our trackers were forced to retreat."
Zealous sighed, "Is there any good news?"
"We have found their home, they are residing in Chalkworth."
"Oh? Fantastic, keep an eye on them. We need to regather our strength. The moment Guild Leader comes back, my revenge shall take place."
"As you wish."
The individual disappeared and Zealous smirked to themself. That silver haired kid dared to interrupt his plan to rise to the top. It would have been flawless, a smooth rise above the rest. Yet it was interrupted! So many resources to fight the other nine guilds, resources that didn't need to be used!
He calmed himself, no need to get worked up over something that will be handled soon. He leaned back in his chair, "Guild Leader. . . if you don't return far stronger. Then perhaps it is time for a new leader."
