A Hidden Kingdom

When Akiol jumped into the hole, he immediately regretted the decision. For what the hole lead to, was none other than a pit. Akiol fell into the darkness his body becoming a tear drop from the air resistance. He wanted to scream, but could not for the lack of a mouth.

Akiol fell for two minutes, Akiol knew he was going to die from the fall. His body was undoubtedly fragile, slimes lacked any form of strength even in his world. When he hit the bottom however, he did not die like he thought. For his body hit the ground like a water balloon that did not pop.

'The slime body negates momentum from falling?' This moment of ill-fortune granted him knowledge of his body. After a moment of mental recovery, Akiol proceeded to search his surroundings. It was very dark, Akiol couldn't see an inch in front of himself. The only thing he did know was that the floor was stone, this was a cave so that was expected.

Akiol chose a random direction and kept moving until he hit a wall. Having no other choice he followed the wall to the right. A few moments later, a crystal illuminated. This allowed Akiol to see a bit, but it didn't show anything to take note of. Continuing down the wall another light appeared. This seemed to hint at something so Akiol continued. After some travel, and various crystals that started flowing, a sudden bright light flashed.

Recoiling from the sudden light Akiol jumped, or he would have but his mana was still regenerating. Instead his slime body made a flinching motion. Once the light faded slightly, Akiol could see a giant door. After a moment of appreciating such a large door, Akiol rolled towards it. He couldn't stop before hitting the door, when he did the door started to open slowly as if accepting his presence. Letting the most typical sounding creak. Akiol wondered how he could hear, for he had no ears.

Inside was a hallway lit with torches. It looked like an entrance to a castle, so Akiol rolled and followed the hallway. When he reached the end surprisingly it was not a castle. Instead it was a large cavern, littered with those glowing crystals, and slimes were everywhere.

One pink slime came up to Akiol. Seemingly greeting him. Akiol heard no words, nor was there any writing. Akiol could only describe it as 'intention'. Attempting to communicate with the pink slime, Akiol tried to express his confusion of his surroundings. The pink slime was silent to this. Akiol was worried that he failed to communicate. However this worry was naught. The pink slime wanted him to 'follow'. At least that's what Akiol assumed, as the pink slime slid across the floor. This baffled Akiol, for he could not move like this.

Attempting to copy the slime's movements he realized how the pink slime managed to move. By manipulating the bottom of their body to act like a wheel, or a tread. After a few moments getting the movements down he hurriedly followed the pink slime. As he followed the pink slime he took a look at his surroundings, it was at this point he wondered how he could see, for he had no eyes. He eventually assumed it was the game giving him this helpful buff.

Around him was a bunch of slimes of various colors sliding across the ground, a few hopping. What interested him most was a particular slime that was covering a small glowing crystal with his body. After a bit of time the crystal then dissolved and the slime went back to sliding. This matched his previous life's slimes, but faster in the dissolving process. After that particular activity Akiol could no longer take note of anything else. So he focused on following the pink slime.

The pink slime soon lead him to a set of stairs, but did not climb them. A bigger slime was in the way. The pink slime wiggled at the bigger slime and so did the big slime. Akiol couldn't understand their intention, this confused him but he put it off for later. The pink slime then turned and told Akiol to 'follow' again. Going up the stairs was a bit difficult for Akiol, but after a few steps he got the hang of it. At the top of the steps was a huge slime, it's size was comparable of his own apartment complex.

The pink slime wiggled at the huge slime, the huge slime did not wiggle back however, it then turned its attention to Akiol.

"Welcome to my kingdom strange child".
