Chapter 53: A talk with Sirzechs Lucifer

"Rias, why did you suddenly call me here?"

Lucias asked as he entered the occult research club building late at night.

"... I need your advice, Lucias"

Rias answered with a reluctant expression on her face while wearing a simple night gown on her body that emphasized her figure and soft white skin.

"Advice?"

Lucias asked before sitting down on the sofa while the silence of the night devoured the room.

"Yes..."

She said as she sat down opposite to him while Lucias took out a variety of snacks from his inventory for them to eat while they talk.

"Then speak, what's so important that you have to call me in the middle of the night just to come here"

Lucias said before standing up from the sofa to brew both of them a cup of coffee.

"... What would you do if one of the strongest beings took interest on the sacred gear of your beloved servant?"

Rias asked causing Lucias to stop in his tracks as he looked back at Rias.

"Is it Issei?"

"..."

Rias remained silent causing Lucias to sigh before carrying both of their cups in his hands.

"Judging from your expression, I guess it's Azazel who took interest in his scared gear"

Lucias revealed as he placed the cups on the table causing Rias to look at him in surprise.

"How did you know?"

"... The Fallen Angels have recruited a lot of sacred gear holder in the past, and from what I've heard, the Governor has a laboratory of his own to research the structure of sacred gears so he can construct his own"

Lucias answered in a calm voice before taking a small sip on his cup.

Lucias said with a large grin on his face, remembering the carefree and perverted attitude of the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels causing Rias to look at him in surprise.

Rias asked in a curious tone before grabbing her own cup of coffee in an elegant manner.

"Well... yes actually. It's not really a rumor but just facts that his subordinates are spreading around to complain about the laziness of their Governor-General"

Lucias said in a calm voice while grabbing a piece of cookie from the table.

Lucias said while waving his hand in front of him with a wry smile on his face causing Rias sigh as she slid her finger on the corners of her cup.

Besides not knowing their movements, it's difficult to move here as well. The other side is the Governor of the fallen angels. We can't even come in contact with him"

Rias muttered in a tired voice before slowly drinking her cup of coffee, causing her body to relax as Lucias suddenly looked towards the door of the clubroom.

"When are you planning to come in, Sirzechs Lucifer?"

Lucias asked causing Rias to spit out the coffee in her mouth as she stared at the wooden door of the clubroom.

"O-O-O-Onii-sama!"

"... So what Grayfia reported was true... You're extremely sensitive to sudden changes in the space around you..."

A handsome man who seems to be in his early 20's with shoulder length crimson red hair and blue-green eyes said as he came inside the room.

"Please relax, I came for private business today"

He said as he raised his palm in front of Rias who was urging for Lucias to pay his respect.

"Onii-sama, w-why are you here?"

Rias asked in a doubtful voice as she pointed her finger at Sirzechs who was standing in front of them with a kind smile on his face.

"What are you saying. Classroom visits are coming soon, right? I am also thinking to participate. By all means I want to see my little sister working hard in studies from up close"

Sirzechs answered as he hugged her sister in his embrace.

"Sirzechs-sama, I told you not to suddenly disappear from your office. I know you're excited to see Ojou-sama but please control yourself and do your work..."

Grayfia scolded as soon as she appeared inside the clubroom through a magic circle.

Lucias thought without a single change in his expression as he continued to listen to their conversation.

Rias asked for confirmation with wide eyes causing Sirzechs to smile before answering her question.

My little sister, you, the legendary Sekiryuutei, the holy devil sword user, the holy sword Durandal's wielder and Maou Serafall Leviathan's little sister are attached to this place, Kokabiel and Hakuryuukou attacked this place. He said while glacing at her little sister who lightly blushed before answering her question with a shy expression on her face.

She whispered causing Sirzechs to smile from seeing the shy appearance of his little sister.

Lucias thought while looking at him with a frown.

"Now then, let's continue the difficult conversation somewhere else. Hm, however, even though I came to the human world, it's night time. Would a lodging institution be open right now?"

He said before hinting at his little sister who was standing by his side with an annoyed expression on her face.

"... You can stay here in the meantime... Most of the hotels in Kuoh is already closed"

"Is that so? Then thank you for having me here, Rias"

Sirzechs said in a happy tone before gazing at Lucias who was silently watching them from the side.

"You should also stay here for the night, Lucias-san. It's quite late and it's dangerous for you to wander around the night"

Sirzechs advised causing Lucias to raise his eyebrow from noticing the hidden meaning behind his words.

'... 'I want to talk to you', is it?'

"Sure... I'll stay here for the night, but I'll have to call back home or else they'll worry about me"

Rias apologized while standing in front of him in her pajamas causing Lucias to smile as he patted her head.

Rias apologized one more time with a guilty expression on her face as Grayfia arrived behind them with a strict expression on her face.

"Ojou-sama, now let's return back to our room. I will be there in your room as well. Well then, Lucias-sama, good night"

Grayfia said before pulling Rias who had a reluctant expression on her faces while staring at Lucias with worry visible in her eyes.

"I'm quite jealous of you, Rias... for having a loving family that raised you with care"

Lucias whispered to himself before entering the room that both he and Sirzechs shared.

"Oh! So you finally came inside"

Sirzechs muttered while watching him sit down on the bed next to his own with a neutral expression on his face.

"Go straight to the point, what do you want?"

Lucias asked with a serious expression on his face while staring at him with his golden pupils.

"Lucias Frey-kun. Take care of my sister, of Rias, from now on too"

Sirzechs suddenly said in a serious tone, staring at him with his bright sapphire eyes.

"... You want me to babysit your little sister from now on, is it? Sorry but I-"

"You know what I'm talking about Lucias-kun... I think your also aware of her feelings for you"

Lucias remained silent from the mention of the topic that he wanted to avoid the most. He planned to keep silent until the day she gives up and find someone else that might truly love her, but he never expected for her elder brother to be this sharp to notice her feelings for him.

Sirzechs asked causing Lucias to lean forward, looking at him with a serious expression on his face.

"... You wouldn't want your sister to be wedded to a man who have more than 10 fiancées right?"

Lucias answered as he couldn't use the excuse that he had in the past for avoiding her because of the noticable changes in her personality when she met him.

Lucias muttered in disbelief before looking back at him who was smiling at his direction.

"I wouldn't mind, you have proven yourself worthy of such things so... No one in my family can oppose it once you two are engaged, in fact it is beneficial for us to have someone as powerful as you to join us"

Lucias said with a frown causing Sirzechs to softly laugh.

"I know... you don't hold any feelings for her, judging by your attitude, I guess her looks isn't enough to sway your emotions... but I hope you can give her a chance. She is not a bad girl its just that... We have spoiled her too much but now thanks to you... she has changed"

Sirzechs said in a calm voice before glancing outside of the window with a nostalgic smile on his face.

"I know your the best choice for her, but if you really don't have any feelings for her then... I can't really force you to love her"
