Chapter 33: Revolution

"Big news!!!"

A demon on top of a deformed house shouted as he ran through the streets of the kingdom. Throwing several pieces of paper on the streets. Making the starving citizens look at him in confusion.

"... What's wrong with him?"

A demon citizen said as he stared at the man riding away with the horse. Picking up the pieces of paper from the ground.

"What's... this..."

He slowly muttered before his eyes widened as he read the words written on the paper. Pulling it closer to his face as he read everything words for word with a pale complexion.

"EVERYONE GATHER!!! WE MUST MEET THE EMPEROR!!!"

A demon in front of a marching crowd shouted, carrying a piece of paper in his hands as he, along with the large crowd of people walked towards the direction of the imperial palace.

"Where are you all..."

The demon from before muttered, causing the random female citizen from the crowd to reach out her hands towards him. Inviting him to join their march towards the imperial palace. To make a petition to the emperor to withdraw from the war.

"We'll talk peacefully to the emperor to withdraw from this bloody war! We don't need to immediately resort to violence, enough blood is already shed in this war! I'm sure the emperor would consider if he hears the cries of his citizen!!"

The demon at the front said as he guided the large crowd of people towards the palace. Making the rest of the civilians who were shocked from the sudden news join the crowd. 

Deciding to settle it in a peaceful protest before the fear and insecurity of the citizens forced them to become more desperate and resort to violence. But the case was not the same to other kingdoms of the empire.

"TAKE IT DOWN!"

A demon citizen shouted as he ordered the other demons to pull the rope attached to the large statue of the emperor. Making it fall on the ground and shatter to pieces, causing the crowd to cheer while raising their weapons in the air.

In other parts of the empire, riots have broken out as the hungry citizens raided shops and restaurants owned by the nobility and imperial family. Stealing the supply of food and weapons in their stores while absolute chaos has broken out throughout the empire.

"The Emperor has caused the deaths of millions of our own kind and family. Joined the war when we didn't even need to, and has caused the situation now. Making many of our citizens starve, while they enjoy a luxurious life inside the palace's walls. 

This must stop. Everyone we need to join our hands together and fight back!! Realize the power that each of us holds!! We are the ones that make up the kingdom, not the emperor!! 

His main role of protecting the empire and its people has only caused more harm!! We don't need a tyrant to rule our kind! So everyone!!! Work together and we will fight back!!! 

Today is the day that we announce the existence of the Revolutionary Army! The people that strive to set us free from the tyrant!! And they have made significant progress throughout the years!! So make up your mind!! Stay with the tyrant that made your lives miserable, or join hands with the people that want to save us from this hell!!

Do not fear the emperor, he is only one person even with his strength and power! He is no match for millions of us, we can take him down!! Individually we are weak, but together... We can take down even a god. So raise your weapons!!! Fight for the country! Not the emperor!!!"

A soldier from the revolutionary army shouted as he looked down on a large number of citizens that were gathered at the park. All having extreme anger in their eyes while raising various tools that they used in their daily lives as weapons. Raising it in the air before they all let out a loud scream containing all of their resentment, frustration, and suffering for the last years because of this war.

"OVERTHROW THE EMPEROR!!!"

"KILL THE TYRANT!!"

The citizens shouted causing the man standing at the top of the makeshift stage to smile in excitement. Signaling for the people behind him to push the wooden box that they brought with them to the crowd.

"In this box are weapons that we have gathered and are given by our sponsor that will aid us in this fight for freedom!! So men and women!! Gather your weapons and we shall storm the palace!! IT'S TIME TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY FROM THE TYRANT!!"

He shouted causing the citizens to immediately grab a random weapon that they could use.

"The emperor would kill us to stop our cries for change!! So, execute them, kill them and show them the power of the people!!"

He loudly stated as the populace's fear increased. A fear that if left unchecked will turn into anger and explode, forcing the citizens to resort the violence. 

"STORM THE ROYAL PALACE!! KILL ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT IS IN THE COMPLIANCE WITH THE EMPEROR!!"

"KILL THEM ALL!!"

They all shouted making Riku who was standing above the roof of a tall store to smile in response. Seeing how riled up they were. The fact that they accepted something like this even when the information isn't completely verified is because they were desperate. Giving the people who are already dissatisfied with the emperor a chance to express their hatred and rile up the people to fight back. 

The miserable lifestyle that they had for the last 5 years was now being transformed into anger and madness. "It's all coming together"

Riku muttered with a grin on his face before an assassin suddenly appeared behind him.

"Riku-sama... We can't find the children anywhere... We have to enter the imperial city and search there"

The assassin reported with a grave expression on his face. Making Riku, who had a joyful mood from a while ago, frown as he heard the news. Making him clench his fist as a look of anger and worry appeared in his eyes.

"... They're at the imperial city... This is bad"

He muttered. Before glancing at the assassin besides him. 

"You. Gather most of them assassins under our command and search for them in the imperial city. Search every nook and corner of the city. Leave 50-70 tiger-ranked assassins to aid the revolutionary army. Kill everyone who dares interfere"

He ordered, causing the assassin to nod his head before his body was devoured by his own shadow. Disappearing from his spot while the Riku and the messenger from before staring at the scene below them.

"What should we do, Riku-sama?"

"... just let them be, these demons will eventually eat themselves especially when the revolution takes place... Our main goal is to find the children... Or else Lucias would massacre everyone in this kingdom"

He said. Remembering Asia's report about Lucias entering the dimension, along with the sudden massacre and destruction of several kingdoms each day. Making him assume that it was all done by Lucias, but he didn't know if the movement of the demonias is also because of him. But regardless, their actions have given them the opportunity to start the revolution.

"... In the end... He still helped me with this mission, like what happened with the angeloids"

Riku said in disappointment, before showing a serious expression as he faced the demon behind him.

"Let's go... We still have a lot of things to do"

"G-Get away!!"

An Archduke demon shouted as he looked at Lily, making Lily yawn before waving her hand. Making the demon's blood condense inside his body, destroying all of the veins inside of him before his blood broke out of his body by creating a large hole in his chest.

"You talk too much"

Lily muttered before the blood quickly entered her mouth. Making her taste the bitter taste of the demon's blood as she felt her power slightly increase. Adding a few points into her already monstrous status from feeding day and night for the last couple of days.

The same happened with the rest of the vampires who have gone with her, enjoying an endless bloodfest that discriminates no one from their slaughter.

"How many more kingdoms must we destroy until we find them, mistress?"

The demon king asked, looking outside of the church. Watching as the vampires create a pool of demon's blood. Using it as a swimming pool to relax while piles of drained bodies were placed beside them. Creating a gruesome and horrifying scene of vampires bathing in their own victim's blood.

"Who knows... but... until we find them... you all can enjoy the feast... I'm a bit happy to see how my subjects grow this much"

Lily muttered while looking at the vampires with a sinister smile on her face. Due to the constant feasts and blood that they drank every day from citizens and soldiers alike. The vampires have gained considerable strength. Maybe even stronger than Asia's own dragon subjects since the weakest of the vampires are those in the Ultimate rank.

Even though they became stronger. They had no control of their own power. That's why Lily and Elmenhilde planned to train them for a bit before continuing on since they might kill themselves by accident. 

She and Elmenhilde were already powerful enough and are already used in this sudden increase in strength thanks to Lucias' [Gamer Ability]. They were already familiar with this kind of feeling, that's why they are quickly able to adapt to their increased strength.

"I wonder how my master would react... once she found out how much of a sadist you become"

The demon king said, causing Lily to giggle as she covered her mouth with her blood-stained fingers.

"I'm not a sadist, demon king. In fact... I still prefer to be the masochist of our relationship... but sadly I can only do it with Lucias when the other girls aren't around... except for Modeus. We both have the same fetish after all"

"... Is my master willing to partake in this kind of play, mistress?"

"No~... Lucias doesn't get rough with any of his fiancées in the past... but through my and Modeus hard work. He became more assertive and dominant in bed... Something that many of us loved"

She said, causing the demon king to look at the mistress with a complicated expression on his face.

"I really cannot understand women"

"I'm sure if you get married, you'll come to understand us more"

She said. Making the demon king sneer before looking at the blood-red moon in the sky.

"I would rather stay like this, Mistress. Instead of a woman interfering with my actions and decisions"

"Is that so"

Lily muttered as she leaned her head on her hand. Watching as a demonia start to grab a dried demon and placed them on his mouth. Biting off the half of its body, causing his intestines to fall to the ground before the demon threw the other half inside his mouth. 

Grabbing the intestine from the ground before proceeding to slurp it inside his mouth. Like he was eating the noodles of ramen. Making the vampires grin before grabbing a large bathtub. Pouring a portion of the blood in their pool inside before proceeding to cut the corpses' stomachs open. Pulling out their intestines before throwing it inside the bathtub.

They then proceed to add other organs as topping for the makeshift noodles like the demon's eyeballs, brains, and heart. Making the demons lick their lips in excitement. Ripping two large poles on a nearby try to use as a chopstick to eat the bloody ramen that the vampires have created.

"... They're really treating these demons like toys, for them to play with their bodies like that"

Lily said, watching them with a helpless smile on her face before a bat suddenly flew towards her. Transforming into a vampire before it kneeled on the ground.

"Your highness... We found this"

The vampire said as he took out a small shoe from his cloak. Making Lily stand up from her seat before grabbing it from the vampire. 

"T-This is... Albedo's shoe..."

She said while looking at the simple white shoe with several glittery designs on the side. Making adrenaline rush in her body as tears suddenly formed at the corner of her eyes. 

"M-Mommy has finally found you..."

She said. Tightly hugging the shoe in her arms as her body trembled in excitement, relief... and fear of the thought of the demons doing something to her babies.

"Where did you find this!?!?"

She asked in a hurried voice. Shaking the demon's body.

"W-We found them close to the farm of the imperial city. The place that is supposed to be our next target"

"A-A farm?"

Lily muttered before staggering in her steps. Remembering the brutal scene that they saw in each of the farms that they raided. All of the human corpses were hooked while their chest was sliced open. Their organs were removed as the farmers drained their blood, storing it inside of a metal barrel that was placed below their hanged bodies. Making her pale, imagining the corpses of her children treated the same.

"Yes, but... We noticed that humans are in charge of the farm, while only undead demons are found entering and exiting the farm... So we can safely assume that they are safe for now... since Sharael Hellscythe, is the only one that is currently in this dimension that can perform necromancy"

He added, causing Lily to shake his body furiously with a desperate expression on her face.

"I-Is what you said true!?!?"

Lily asked causing the demons to repeatedly nod his head in response.

"GATHER EVERYONE!! WE'RE GOING TO INVADE THE IMPERIAL CITY!!"
